Actually, that is so tempting . . . but first . . . the search for a suitable pair of earphones so I can avoid being whammed while fiddling with toys. This is the only way I'm getting into Walmart from now on. May I not be run over by that Mack barreling towards me . . . the one I cannot hear . . .

So I got an answer to that Shelby Cobra nobody here knows about.

2004 Bruce Wayne 3-Car Set. Shelby Cobra, Ferrari 246 Dino, Jagaur D-Type. I guess that drill hole was the screw securing it to the base.

I remember seeing this box in that specialty toy store in the past and didn't even remember.

Thanks, guy. I took the liberty of adding it to Hot Wheels Wikia as well as whatever other Cobras they're missing (look for the dark background photos or ones with my name clearly printed on it ). After going back between that and South Texas, it's clear both sides got missing entries of old castings. Got to rely on both rather than just one!

I don't get around much lately, especially since it's dark when I get off work now. I'll check when I'm at a store, but might not go out of my way to find them. New matchbox at the meets is fairly rare.

I do often see those two cars sold "loose" on eBay. What a bummer about JL. I'm gonna have to read something about this myself. I wish somebody would take the company over again.
