Looked it up on ebay... and realized... that I have some! :D
These are two I know I have:

WARNING: These are not my photos!

I may have some more...

the really rare one is the all-red car, it was still french-made and very difficult to find. Keep that well cared.

Well, having good cars in your collection is usually associated with the condition the cars are in. For example, your Mark V Redline is priced and appreciated by you because of sentimental reasons, but in reality it’s pretty beat up. Other people wouldn’t call it precisely a “good car”. If it was in better shape it would be another story.

I have several redlines and early Matchbox/Majorette cars in poor condition that I do not consider as good cars, even if some are quite rare. Most are headed for restoration. However, if I had a car that previously belonged to my grandpa, as I told you, I wouldn’t touch it, its story would be way more valuable.

@Cano - Both of the cars in question are from the 25th anniversary 5 packs. (though not the same one)

I like these packs because of the random 25th anniversary car included. You can probably pick out the chrome XJ220 anniversary in the pic showing the Wind splitter. That came from one of these packs. The car I cannot find that I need to is the black Diablo. Not sure where it wondered off to and have not seen one since. (though I'm sure they're on TTP/eBay)

Sorry Wyvern, I just saw this, haha.

I had never seen those 5 packs although I knew they existed. I have a couple of the chrome cars, but I’d never noticed the cars in the packs came in exclusive colors. I’ll look into that, some of those look pretty neat.

EDIT: Damn, double post. sorry.

Painting the text on the police cars right now, they are turning out horrible, but I don't even care anymore since I got so fed up with the paintbrushes. I'll post up my finished stuff later today!

Hello,

I own a 1973 Buick Apollo. I always wondered if a toy replica was ever made by Matchbox or Hot Wheels; or perhaps a plastic model kit?

Anybody know?

If I can't get a toy 1973 Buick Apollo, I'd settle for one of the other makes of this same car:

Chevy Nova
Oldsmobile Omega
Pontiac Ventura
Buick Apollo

fun fact - if you didn't already know, these four makes/models are all basically the same car. The first letters of the model names spell NOVA. Nova, Omega, Ventura, Apollo.

So how do I find a Matchbox or Hot Wheels 1973 Buick Apollo?

Thanks!

As far as I know, your car has never been made into a die-cast model on any scale. There may be some plastic kit to it, but I am absolutely uncertain. Try E-Bay, something may turn up.

Aha! Aha! :) Pagani, eh? I don't think Mazda will like that. Or did Pagani steal the idea from . . .

Here's another view of this same area - it's actually a kind of 'staging area' that I use to check out particular cars for photography and remodelling.

I thought it was a Pagani from the bird's eye view perspective, because the Fuari's spoiler was missing.

I'm sooooo sorry Mazda and Furai! :dunce: :banghead:

I can't wait to buy one though, seen it in red and black with gold wheels before.

An R32, deadcell?! I want that!

SO, I'm done hand-painting my cars, not going to bother taking pictures of them after I coat them with nail polish unless they really turn out nicely.... Them police liveries were from Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 3. I'll have an image link beside each photo of what the livery looks like.

Yeah I skipped some details and text mainly because I didn't want to make it look any more worse than I already made it :P

And a completely different one...I had this (originally) gold XJ220, which I had coloured black with a sharpie many many years back, I covered it with paint, now I guess we can call it a "Stealth" XJ220

I'll make pop corn. come ON, dude.

Also, AOS, let me tell you, it does look blotched, but considering how you did it, it doesn't look as bad. I'm amazed at some of those... maybe it is because I have a horrible pulse. If you ever do that again, secure a cat or dog whisker, they are the ABSOLUTELY BEST brushes you can come by. Yeah, creepy, I know, but it SO works.

Today, I stopped by the discount store that I found those 90's HW that I posted a while back in this thread. Walked over to the toy section and I was in awe at what I was seeing! Fully stocked pegs with about a hundred Hot Wheels from the 90's. They were $1.29 originally, but I was buying 47 cars, so I talked the lady down to a buck a car. Will post pics tomorrow.

Also, great buys, deadcell96 and diabolicwyvern!

I like how the XJ220 and Gallardo turned out. Pretty cool.

How many 510s are there? So many! But I haven't seen anyone who has the bronze one that I have.

I've got one also. It's a 2009 first edition. :)

Virtual cars? Whaaat? I'm talking about the hotwheels dude.

Here are all the 510's that Hot Wheels have released.

Time to wake my dog up.

Thanks, man. A single whisker? Detailing was tough because paint wouldn't stick to the one bristle I had on my brush, I had even trim off a lot of the bristle for this project too...

Awesome! The Canada only Renault 5 Turbo. Very cool.

Here's the discount store finds.

And I guess another piece of tape? Or maybe glue?

It's so odd that this place carries Hot Wheels. The rest of the toys are cheap 99 cent stuff. But I'm not complaining. :D

A few of the mid 90s cars I still would like to find, especially the Camaros, Mustangs and any of the Corgi castings, like the sweet Jag. I have one in package, but want one loose. Trouble is, I'm not willing to pay more than .50 for any mainline car that after the blue card era, so I have to wait for collector shows that are bi-monthly.

Ohh and a Commando. Very nice

--Here's another car I'm currently looking for. I love the wacky paint jobs on the Revealers cars, but hate the colored UH wheels. Then I saw this. Perhaps it was mail-in...I'd never seen one prior, but was looking for the rare back Diablo from the exotic cars 5-pk and came across it.

oh, lts go in order.

@ Wyvern: I demand an explanation of the first Passion! wtF with that car? I had NEVER EVER seen one with whiteline tires, all of them wear widewhites. Explain!

Alas, I had never seen the "Convertables" car, looks to be in top shape! Never seen that Camaro casting with that thing in the hood either. Very nice grabs all of the others, I specially like the Minitrek in tan. Also, how come the Renault is Canada-only? I have like 4 of those o_O

@ M-Power: There are some hard to find cars in there, specially the Corgi castings, as Wyvern said. I have two of those at most, they are not easy at all to come by. Mos of the cars you boought I wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole because of the tampos -worse tampos era in my opinion- but there are some that are really neat. I'd say the rarest car you got there is the Commando, along with the previously mentioned Corgis. For a buck a car, it was a steal. Very good.

Stopped at Walmart tonight to get some things and checked the Hotwheels. Two month old stuff as usual, but found a Yellow Corvette Grand Sport.
