I should start doing that, put most of my loose cars in boxes like that.

You mean these?

Look online, I don't think store are selling cases like that.
I haven't seen these cases in stores in a long time.

The ones I use are for fishing tackle. You can find them pretty much anywhere. Or you could get ones like @Gotbeefboy564 mentioned that hold more cars. Only problem is, they are harder to find.

Alright then, thanks guys. I'll probably start with the fishing ones, because I don't like shopping online.

So when I get my internet up and running at home next week, I plan on starting my own website selling individual Hot Wheels cars. (at first, other brands added depending on how successful it is...) and I need opinions on how much you would be willing to pay for a single car off a website. My cost would be around $85-95 including shipping for each case, so I would need to at least make that back but would like some profit obviously.

Are these prices reasonable?

$1.49 or $1.95 - Regular mainline cars (+ shipping)
$3.49 or $3.95 - Regular release Treasure Hunt cars (+ shipping)
$9.49 or $9.95 - Super Treasure Hunt cars (+ shipping)

Those would be new releases. Prices would drop slightly as cars got older to help move inventory.

Thoughts? Be nice please.

Edit: Picked up few cars, but my internet is crapping out & I've been able to upload just this car so far.

Greenlight '87 Pontiac Firebird(Trans Am?)

I didn't want to say anything. :P Looking forward to seeing your pictures of it. 👍

You know I wouldn't be the one to ask about mainlines, but my opinion, they seem reasonable to me. I actually think it's bit low on the Super Treasure Hunts, as some of them seem to easily move at $15(+shipping) range.

I like the 240z. I'm headed out to Walmart, so I hope I find something, too!
That Firebird is pretty cool. I've always loved Greenlights. 👍
Thanks! I'm into Greenlight cars right now & if I'm ever able to load it, you'll love the next car. Maybe. ;)
Thinking $12.95 maybe, point is to undercut ebay to drive sales. Problem is I'll have very little inventory to start.
I guess that makes sense. Again, just my opinion, but I wouldn't price it so low(not that $12.95 is) that you are immediately out of the good stuff(like chase cars, TH's), nobody bother checking your site after while.

Take it with a grain of salt, as I occasionally sell on eBay, but I'm no online merchant.

Well the faster they sell, the faster i can get more. ;)

20 packs at Target have these. For $24 I'll pass, saw one in a 9 pack too but other cars were crappy and I don't want to be stuck with them so I'll wait for a single.
