Still got some old rare ones from my childhood :)

A reminder to resize your photos in the future. It's best to not rely on the forum software to resize them, it still has to load the whole image and some of us use devices that cannot handle them.

Ok thanks for the advice !

@Gotbeefboy564 Cool! They are pretty old by now, I still have more somewhere. Like the Viper GTS and Ford Escort Rally car.

Recent additions to my collection..

If anybody find out if this thing pop open or not, let me know. I can't get it to come apart.

You push the tab inward. That should bring that bit that locks into the metal body (where the real license plate goes) in towards the body, freeing it from restraint. Lift the body, rear end first. That's how it was with previous Morris Minis IIRC.

If the plastic tab in the rear license plate slot doesn't move, then they probably ditched the mechanism altogether, similar to how certain cars have hinged hoods, but are sealed shut anyway.

Personally, that blue Focus hatchback(DonZonda) & Chevy 1500(Clocktower) hit the spot for me!

So I pick up this modem from BestBuy? Talk about user friendly. Last one I bought was Netgear(broke in a year) & it was a pain to set up(also slow). This one you just plug in, software walk you thru it & you are done.

Anyway, finally the pics:

The other two from Walmart last night:

Hot Wheels Lamborghini Sesto Elemento(Need For Speed) + Star Trek U.S.S. Vengeance

Another Mini I've been after:

Hot Wheels Super Chromes Morris Mini

Came with Hot Wheels Racing CAT Twin Mill

More TTP purchases:

Hot Wheels 100% Sweet Rods Japan Nissan Skyline GT-R(R32)

Finally, my Greenlight cars! :embarrassed:

Greenlight 1970 Pontiac GTO - 1970 Chevy Camaro - 1981 Pontiac Firebird(I think Trans Am) - Black Bandit Dodge Van

Greenlight 1991 Ford Mustang GT

Greenlight Black Bandit 2011 Ford Focus ST

You guys know I'm infatuated with Dodge vans. It took me probably a year to finally get the Black Bandit version. :D That red GTO is one of my favorite Pontiacs now, if not #1.
@a6m5 colour me jealous!
As I said, I've been waiting for this one, so in your shoes, I'd be jealous, too! :D

I'm guessing they may have. Even with the tab pushed inward, it doesn't seem to budge. Sucks, but it's still my favorite Morrris Mini.

@a6m5 wish I knew where to get greenlights from here in Australia, it looks like they've got a fair bit of (mainly U.S.A) variety rather than typical super/sports cars.

Locally, I can only find them at Toys R Us. I've been buying them on the toy peddler, mostly used & loose(don't read into that). I have bunch more coming from the same seller, mostly I think police cars. I finally found a police car by Greenlight that is from the state I live in!
👍👍👍 Chrome Mini!
Thanks, I really like it, too. There is another variation, I think from a box set. I'd like to get that one day, but these things are spendy. They generally go for little more than ten bucks a pop, I believe.

Edit: @AOS-

Hold everything. I took a flat head to this thing & it does come apart.

Huh? Why?

VVVVVVV This is why VVVVVVV

No, it doesn't quite work. Also, not only does the new Mini not come with the rollcage, the body actually have a half-post sticking out inside that would block any base with rollcage installed. It turned out my British Racing Green Mini had loose rollcage, so I was able to fool around swapping the base with that one.

Tab on the new base doesn't click in/out of position like the two older ones I have.

:embarrassed: Ohhhh, that collection right there just hit me with a huge mesh of nostalgia. I swear that I've had or played with at least 10 hotwheels/matchboxes exactly like these when I was a kid.

Well, I actually went collecting some more hotwheels for the first time in months. The funny thing is how convenient this is for me since I live close by a Kmart & Walmart.

That, the mainline Mini and all those awesome Greenlights. Curse you.👍

I don't think anyone stocks them down here. Real pity because they have some excellent stuff in their range. I got my three from Daboxtoys . Postage for them was a bit more then I expected, though that was probably because I had a couple of other things in that order.

Your Toys R Us don't carry them? Not that you'd be able to find decent selection from just one store.

Wouldn't have a clue, I live in the country, the nearest Toy R Us store is like three hours away. I doubt they would carry them anyway.

Just came up with a car Hot Wheels should make. A Mercedes C63 AMG.
I'd want the first gen MR2. I'd buy it. Jason would, too, so I know for fact they can sell at least two of those. :mischievous:

 Must be cool....... I need takeout food so I couldn't do that, but I bet you could just drive 15 minutes & go shoot in the woods desert nearby.

I really should look into wheelswaps again..... I look forward to yours.

Nice finds @Gotbeefboy564 , @RandomCarGuy17, too. 👍 I don't know how much I paid for mine, but I'm sure it wasn't anymore than around a buck..... It's Walmart. That Screamliner was pretty sharp. If I wasn't trying to cut down on mainlines, I'd have bought it.

I haven't even touched a custom car since before I started moving. All my stuff is in the closet outside on the balcony. Afraid to say I'm losing interest besides the occasional wheel swap.

Well after some hard negotiating with my mother, I finally managed to convince her to order the Boulevard series Rigor Motor off of Ebay for me since she recently created an Ebay account. Should be here Friday or Saturday hopefully.

I usually don't go through this kind of trouble for one vehicle, but I have spent over a year trying to find the bloody thing again since it disappeared from my Wal Mart and I haven't seen it anywhere since. I have grown very tired of waiting and this was pretty much my only option.

My Fast and Furious Mustang that is supposedly very rare. I didn't know until after I bought it.

Here is that Nissan that is apparently worth a lot of money.

And finally, a 1/87 scale Mustang that I bought at a flea market. It looks like crap, and $1 was probably too much to pay for it, but hey, it's a 69 Mustang. :D

I'm still on F cases here. I just want a damn Mini and Fiat!

I'm guessing they may have. Even with the tab pushed inward, it doesn't seem to budge. Sucks, but it's still my favorite Morrris Mini.

Is it a metal base by any chance? Metal body? The VW Beetle Cup could come apart. It had a metal body. I don't remember being able to take apart the First Editions Mini which had a metal body. I only remember taking apart the 2011 plastic body Mini.

Metal/metal as far as I can tell. Like I said in the previous post attentioned to you, that tab doesn't give like they do on the other two Minis I have. I had to sort of force it, using that flathead screwdriver in the picture.

Edit:

Definitely metal base, fairly certain it was metal body. I have the plastic body(I think from the '11 you mentioned), and it doesn't feel that light.

In real life, you'd have a room for two Minis on that bed! I actually wish these guys did accurate scaling. That would be so awesome.....

At one point, they seemed to be going for Super Treasure Hunt money. Since Paul Walker passed away, Skyline's been going for maybe around $10.
