They should overclock it and make it go 2,000,000,000,000fps.

When I will rise an eyebrow.

I have no spare time on my hands at work, wish it weren't so busy.

Thanks for posting this. ScatterPulse > Ultrasound.

It's fascinating stuff, but the vid could be made even better. At the moment, apart from knowing the timescale involved, it's difficult to compare it to anything. Some sort of video comparison over different lengths of time would help provide some basis for comparison. If at one trillionth of a second you see the light moving across an object, how about a comparison reduced by a factor of ten? And then another factor of ten.

Obviously you know what would happen - at some point it'll just look like a flash of light - but it'd be interesting to compare at any rate.

Yeah i wonder if it was possible to even spot a pulse of light like the one that went through the coke bottle at actual speed with the naked eye.

If it's bright enough and in a dark enough room then yes you would notice it. They don't need to compare it to anything. The pulse is constant, so all you'd be doing is decreasing the framerate by shooting at a faster speed. If you want a faster view, just speed up the video until you get to normal time.

That's what I mean. They need to show you the video speeded up gradually so you can see what that pulse looks like at different time frames. As it is, there's a slightly surreal quality to it that somehow makes it seem less real.
