I do indeed wish you good luck. Remember the really hard work begins when you get past 100000 points and remember that there is a wealth of info here to help you achieve those last few points. Use it wisely!
Good luck to you 👍

It's only when I take a photo of a tv or something with bright lights on it that the image is like that,I dont know how that comes.

Hi Serge. If you are using a SLR (spiegel reflex camera)
  • set it to Speed priority.
  • Manually focus on the screen till you see a sharp pic (autofocus is tricky)
  • set time to something slower than 1/50 sec (e.g. 1/30s)
  • put camera on a tripod, on a table, on kitchen stairs (keukentrapje)
  • put the camera straight in front of TV (not at an angle like above)
  • dont use flash.
  • Take the picture.
If you keep the camera speed slower than the refresh rate of your TV (50 Hz) you wont get black bars travelling across the TV. Something you wont see with your eyes but your camera will.

If you're using a compact camera set it in landscape mode as this will most likely slow down the speed most and apply all the above rules too.

Ive updated #222.

Having talked with AMG at the UKGTP about how I was working on getting 100,000 A-Spec but seemed to be missing quite a bit, I discovered a huge amount of low-hanging fruit in the Japanese Manufacturers races.

To cut a long story short, last night, by careful juggling of the rewards from the Suzuki Concepts races, I managed to earn precisely enough to put me on 100,000 points :huzzar:. Don't ask me why I wanted exactly 100,000, it's just my nature :D.

I only used the Dodge RAM for the Truck Race in which it appears and only used NOS in the Mini Manufacturers series. When I have time, I shall earn those points in other races so that I can say with total honesty that neither the RAM nor NOS were used to obtain 100,00 A-Spec :).

I wont be shooting for the maximum A-Spec possible as that would entail having to 200 A-Spec the rally races and I'd rather do almost anything than do that .

Well done, and welcome to the club.

Having also talked to AMG at UKGTP8 I feel I should present my latest proof which has also been carefully managed to round numbers...

Next target 111,111 A-Spec - surely you are up to that challenge too sukerkin?

Now that's an impressive screen, my friend :D.

If I'd've known you were formerly known as Duck I'd've bent your ear about Limited Slip Diffs on Saturday night the other weekend :D.

How on earth did you maintain a 100% win ratio whilst training your B-Spec driver? VBH, as I called mine, is almost solely responsible for my deplorable ratio as she kept losing (which is why I quit trying to train her up to be honest).

As to the 111,111 target, if it involves the rally races then there's no way - G25's, TV's and PS2's all cost money and all would end in bits if I had to do those again. I'm a GT driver, pure and simple. I don't want LMP's, F1's or Rally cars (or bleedin' FF's thank you very much).

Give me a garage full of TVR's, Jaguars, Mercs, BMW's and their ilk, preferrably running tyres in the N2 to S1 range and I'm a happy man :D.

Congratulations! 👍

I am with you on not using the RAM, but staying away from NOS... Guess I am just too lazy for that.

Big Congrats to Car-less and sukerkin! 👍 👍

Welcome to the club!

Only 11,813 to go.

Oh, and Car-less I would like to have some company at max pts with that 100% win percentage.
Oops, only 1,813 pts for you.

If I'd've known you were formerly known as Duck I'd've bent your ear about Limited Slip Diffs on Saturday night the other weekend :D.

Then I would have had to point out that I am in no way linked with anyone else on these forums with that name. Duck was a nickname I had way back when I was at school and when I first got my PS2. I never signed up here with that name as I deemed it inappropriate to the subject(s) at hand.

How on earth did you maintain a 100% win ratio whilst training your B-Spec driver? VBH, as I called mine, is almost solely responsible for my deplorable ratio as she kept losing (which is why I quit trying to train her up to be honest).

It was very difficult, and to be honest my B-spec Beast was probably responsible for more console resets than my 100K A-spec quest!

The 111,111 target involves pretty much every race in the game to near maximum points. I have only 52 of 557 races not yet at maximum points, the lowest being 125 A-spec, and have only just passed 110K. I guess your sanity, and aversion to the Dodge Ram and NOS will keep you from ever attempting the maximum.

I agree with you on the FF's (darned Renault megane Cup and Hyundai Sports Festival) and to a degree the Rally cars, but the tarmac stages are great fun in all kinds of road cars, and some rally cars are nice on road tyres. I do enjoy the LMP's though, and running the FGT series in a FGT for maximum points was a great challenge - see link in my sig.

Oh, and Car-less I would like to have some company at max pts with that 100% win percentage.
Oops, only 1,813 pts for you.

Maybe someday, but for now my target is 111,111. After that I expect I will move onto something else, maybe car wear experiments / taking the Beast to 666,666 miles...

Congrats sukerkin on 100K and for putting up the proof too!

#222 now updated.

Finally!!! Here's a screenshot...

Euh, sorry but this is not the correct code. You need to go back to Imgshack and find your image and look for an option that allows you to get the code for forums to actually display the pic in your post. It'll look something like this:
[* URL=http://img519.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ferrarif40scale18qk6.jpg][* IMG]http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/9169/ferrarif40scale18qk6.th.jpg[* /IMG][* /URL] (Note: I added a few * and spaces to convert this code to text)
