I also didn't see the glowing brakes before. Now that I see them, I can accept your entry :)

Hmmmm? I thought the theme was slipstream/drafting. I don't want to sound like a punk or a brat, but the shots where there are 2 cars side by side give me no feel of the slipstream. If you were allowed to show overtaking, than the theme should be overtaking. There should be NO exceptions! Just because you were drafting to get to that position does'nt give the shot the slipstream feel. Now EVO Lancer's shot is fantastic! That is the feel of the slipstream! I don't know if anyone has ever played Formula One 2002 by EA Sports for PS2, but when you got in the slipstream, that is exactly the special effects the game would do. The tunnel vision.👍

Thanks, mate 👍

I think EvO has the shot that best fits the theme so far. I dont think Ive taken one from that view. 👍

I dont have a problem re-shooting...if for some reason my shot is still not on theme. I just didnt want to "copy" others shots. If its ok, I will reshoot and put a shot thats not in the "grey area" of the rules.

When I said that vr6 changed his entry, but he didn't have to, everybody's shot fits with the theme. The theme included overtaking on the boudary of a corner, because its what usually happens after slipstream/drafting.

Well, as I said in the rules, late overtaking on corners is allowed because it usually results after a slipstream.
And even though I may be accepting photos like these, actual 'slipstream' photos have a better chance of making it into the poll ;)

did anyone notice how the audio changes when you're in another cars' slip stream-- no wind noises.. but once u get out of it they're back..

OK well Im going to use this (I will switch no more)

This one is at least not in the "grey area" as far as theme goes.

So are we not allowed to mix race cars with road cars? Or maybe race cars with tunner cars? I had a shot of the Amuse S2000 GT1 Road Car drafting behind the Penzoil JGTC Skyline. I know the theme rules say the cars must have similar horsepower so that drafting would be legit, which it pretty much was. But there seemed to be an issue of an earlier entry where there happened to be a racecar amongst road cars, and voiding the shot. Thanks!:)

i kno it really sucks i just wanted to see how far it will go, note: this is a 4 month old pic....

Final Entry

PLZ COMENT!!!!!!!

Not happy with it, and it's so far away from my usual stuff, but that worked in my favour last week, right? Gah.

Great photo EVO.👍
Did you use Photoshop to get that speed blur or was it some other editing program? I've been going thru all my plug-ins and whatnot in PS (450 plug-ins) and none of them gave me that kind of effect.

I'm not saying that you should tell me how you have done that, i just want to know if it was with PS or something else.
I did it with a simple zoom blur in PSP9.

Thanks Vonie, though whenever I look at it, I think "lightspeed!", before I think "slipstream".

I agree on one thing though; awesome shot 440 👍
