20 million credits for free!

I'm fairly certain that there is no legal way for Sony or PD to "punish" anyone for using this "glitch". The worst they can do is stop anyone from using it in the future. From a legal standpoint, no one is stealing anything. The "glitch users" are simply using content inside a game that was legally paid for. It doesn't matter that the content was hidden, it was there and released to the public. All that gamers did was find it and use it. Myself, I have no intension of using this glitch, that's not what I play the game for. Anyone who does just want the cars without the "grinding" part of the game, by all means get it while the gettin's good.

Do you have to have 1,000,000 in credits prior to downloading 1.01 patch to be awarded the AMG? Or do you get this anyway? Cheers guys. (I did search the thread but couldn't 100% determine this).
You should get it for free if its your first time on 1.01.

It's a free one time gift. Then 1m credits after.

I have been playing GT5 for 3 years and there are still about 550 cars that I do not have. My GT time is limited and I prefer to use this time to race with real people online, not grinding with mindless AI to save creds for cars.

Now with GT6 PD get tight with the credits but offer us a solution with Micro-transactions to help "busy" people out!!! How about just pay us higher credits for winning so we do not have to grind or pay real $£ to progress.

Otherwise we may stop buy GT altogether if ain't fun!

First AMG is given to you. But I'd go for that AND the BMW M4 (if you have 120.000 to spend), both will be worth 20,000,000 in version 1.00

I think Sony/PD can ban a game account any time they want without any legal authority or reason. But they would have to refund the purchase cost of the game. This is why there wont be any punishment for glitched money.
They could effect the way online is played by creating an new online mode garage that is empty for everyone with a new currency earned online in order to purchase and tune cars. So it makes having infinite credits of no benefit to online play.

I glitched it. It's great! Now I've got loads of cars so I don't even have to play the game anymore. I can get on and do other things like look out the window or do the washing. So much more free time!
;)

Honestguv, you just get it for free. You then downgrade/uninstall following the instructions, boot 1.00, sell the thing for 20 mil, upgrade to 1.01, and spend as you see fit.

If you want to make a ton of cash, buy BMW M4's from the dealership @ 120k apiece in 1.01. Buy a few dozen, downgrade again, and sell them off in 1.00 @20mil apiece. You can easily make the 800MM to buy all the cars in the game and then some (40 BMW's isn't even 5MM of your 20MM)

Lets you do this whole process only re-downloading twice, much easier than buying 20 AMG visions.

I think they are in the middle of doing another patch cos let's face it gt6 is hardly finished - you can't even tell what pp or tyre limits are in an online room without going into that room. Now they have to include something to stop the glitch. I'd imagine it costs a lot to do these patches so I'd of thought the glitch will last a lot longer

A friend of mine is just starting the game, I looked back for an answer to this but didn't see it. Can you use the BMW prize car to do this (it's not sellable in 1.01) or do you have to use one that you purchased?

You purchase Mercedes Vision (called [2055] without patch 1.01) and if you use it on track, and then turn off the game, delete patch 1.01 and run game again to sell it. Game will Freeze immediately. So you have to download 1 gigabyte patch again, change car to any other than Mercedes Vision, and only then delete patch so you could sell it for 20 mill.

My ps3 did that when i try to enter the garage where 2055 is shown as my car that i'm using.

Respect Ray - thank you.

Regarding this, having spent all my millions on cars booze and women I'm low on funds again. Is there a way to backup your photos/replays so that those show up in the game again once you re-patch? I did it once and lost my first set of replays/photos, which was no big deal but this time i'd like to keep them. There are still too many overpriced cars that I'l never own if I don't do the glitch.

You think they are going to ban anyone when the playstation magazine, IGN and other gaming media outlets are openly showing people how to do it? When GTPlanet for some reasons stops closing the threads on how to do it?

I think nobody will be banned, not a chance.

Yes you can.

@Magic Ayrton - not sure why you feel the need to start with the insults. This is a matter of choice. I respect your choice for not doing it, and you should respect ours for doing it and the reasons therein... Oh and it's not a hack, we're using a loop-hole in the game. I have not altered, or attempted to alter, any base code.

If I see an insult again I will report you. Thank you for your understanding and please, let's all try and be nice to each other

Why should I respect people who need to break the game in order to play it? how is this fair? I don't agree, people who have paid for credits and freloaders just help themselves.

I don't really mean to call them idiots, just not too pleased with the whole affair..

YES we do need many more attainable credits in game but this way is not the way forward.

I did too. However, now I'm enjoying GT6 even more as I don't have to worry about grinding. This for me is the best Christmas present. Thanks PD :) Now, bring back endurance events and we'll call it even. I even have my second PS3 (didn't want kids hogging mine) with an unpatched version of GT6. So, I don't even have to do the delete/install/patch dance

Who's breaking the game? And if you didn't mean to call people idiots, you shouldn't have typed the word 'idiot' in your post. I understand that you don't like it, so why not just ignore this thread?

The only way to 'back-up' your photos is to export them to the XMB. But once that's done, I don't think there's any way to re-import them into the game / photo screen again.

You can do it with replays. You have to first select the replays and then export them, before deleting the 1.01 patch. After you're done getting rich and redownload the 1.01 patch, you'll need to first go and save a new replay of anything. Just drive 5m and save it it. For some reason, the "Load/Import" option doesn't appear unless there is at least one replay in the library. You can then re-import your replays.

I agree lol, these idiots will pay some way or another.

Why are you so bitter?

Everyone has the right to their opinion.

What about the glitches that in turn screw you (i.e. Stockyard) and how many cars thats gobbled up with hard earned money. Only to find it gone because you were testing out the new features. What happens to those people is PD gonna refund all those to everyone?

I placed anniversary cars intially in there and lost them, thank god I can redownload.

So be sure to call PD idiots too or just put a smile on your face buy some M4s 👍

Just annoyed... I agree that calling people idiots was a bit much

I am just as annoyed with PD for charging the s**t out of people for 7.5million credits I mean £40 👎

I refuse to do that too.. what to do eh?

idiots are people willing to spend £40 for 7m in game credits.

so buying cheats/advantages is ok in your book. your moral compass is way off

personally I think it's great people are glitching credits, it's a way to make Sony realize there are some limits gamers will not accept. Game designers need to stop breaking games with needless grind, that is not why I paid for retail price on a game.

I say to all glitch away, otherwise we will get games like Forza 5 where you get limited cars, few tracks, low credits just to milk you with DLC, XP boosts and other microtransactions

Did I say that? no.

I understand how you feel and there's a part of me that agrees with you. But another part of me realizes that PD dropped the ball with this one and it's just part of the gaming culture for people to scour games and look for shortcuts, hidden features, etc. If they leave the door open, they've got to realize people will not walk through it, they will run through it and tell the world as they do. Unfortunately this time they left these doors open (see that big ball in the middle, it's since been dropped:lol:) and heads will probably roll because of it:

Truth is also that there is nothing preventing anyone from doing things the "right" way, it's your choice. Anyone that wants to progress through the game slowly can still do so that hasn't changed. No one is forced to do this like no one is forced to buy micro-transactions either.
