20 million credits for free!

Just annoyed... I agree that calling people idiots was a bit much

I am just as annoyed with PD for charging the s**t out of people for 7.5million credits I mean ÂŁ40 đź‘Ž

I refuse to do that too.. what to do eh?

I hear you! Here is how I look at it everyone has access to do this its up to you to take the time to do it. If only a select group could attain this then I could see this being a concern (for our community).

Like I said before, use it to your liking even if you want to give yourself 10mill in cash and go from there.

So you say that if there was no such glitch, those 1000 people would spend 2.800$ each, to buy ingame credits? Do you really believe in that?

No, I don't say that.

I say that a lawyer deciding on how much the damages are if there were to be a case would use a similar formula.

Also this topic has many replies, but if you read my posts, I clearly state that I am playing devils advocate, particularly as the discussion is so one sided, and that I make no mention of whether I have or have not used this exploit.

The only way to 'back-up' your photos is to export them to the XMB. But once that's done, I don't think there's any way to re-import them into the game / photo screen again.

You can do it with replays. You have to first select the replays and then export them, before deleting the 1.01 patch. After you're done getting rich and redownload the 1.01 patch, you'll need to first go and save a new replay of anything. Just drive 5m and save it it. For some reason, the "Load/Import" option doesn't appear unless there is at least one replay in the library. You can then re-import your replays.

Thanks, I might do just that then. Replays are the main thing I want to keep, photos don't need to be in game!

I understand how you feel and there's a part of me that agrees with you. But another part of me realizes that PD dropped the ball with this one and it's just part of the gaming culture for people to scour games and look for shortcuts, hidden features, etc. If they leave the door open, they've got to realize people will not walk through it, they will run through it and tell the world as they do. Unfortunately this time they left these doors open (see that big ball in the middle, it's since been dropped:lol:) and heads will probably roll because of it:

Thanks Johnny, yes, it's not too bad but I'm not sure PD had a chance to be more careful, they were trying to get the product out of the door.

But we do need a more attainable way of getting credits in the game. ÂŁ40 for 7.5M is a joke lol And I refuse to pay it, so in all their greed they got screwed over.

PS:Funny photo :)

Thats exactly why i dont feel guilty (ÂŁ40:yuck:!) and have just spent 10 minutes doing the glitch yummy!

Even if they find a way to stop this, you can always be lowded with money.
I have 100 Ferrari 250 Gto, 6 million each if i sell it, so i will never run out of money.

From a legal standpoint, no one is stealing anything. The "glitch users" are simply using content inside a game that was legally paid for. It doesn't matter that the content was hidden, it was there and released to the public. All that gamers did was find it and use it.

This is actually a common misconception.

From a legal standpoint, I believe everyone has bought a license to use the game, they don't own the game. This license will contain clauses as to how the game is to be used.

This is how software works, because if you actually owned it, you would own the binaries\source code, and then be able to do what you liked with the source code, which would mean you could take GT6 rename it "My Racing Game" and then sell it.

Doing the glitch as we speak. PD lost me, I am afraid. And I bought every DLC in GT5, bar one, because they represented some sort of value (be it new cars, tracks or even paint).
But PD are pushing microtransactions so blatantely with GT6, that I just don't care anymore. They nerfed payouts, ditched the used car dealership, charge a fortune for helmets and racing suits, body rigidity starts to deteriorate after a couple hundred miles and costs a fortune to restore, etc...
With the lackluster online mode and atrocious AI, GT6 is nothing more than a glorified track day simulator.
As for repercussions from PD, look at what happend to money glitchers in GTA 5...That's right. Nothing.

What´s the problem here? Take it or leave it!
For me it´s no fun to drive around in a Honda Fit, not in real life and not in a game.

I'm driving an F40 amongst another 53 top cars.. and I did not glitch (Bill clinton voice lol) I got the game Saturday last week..

[quote="sid_chiclana, post: 9073265, member: 121034"it's not helping your reputation here at all...

I'm trembling :nervous:[/quote]

I think Sid has better things to do than go back and forth.

Seriously though, have an open mind about it. This game offers ALOT and racing being a major part of the game its not the ONLY part.

I for one like tuning/taking pictures/painting/etc... I love racing too but not scripted racing.

Essentially we all have to go down the same road to PROGRESS the game.

Agreed, but I still think my statement is true. No one is changing any of the code from the game or the patches. They are just using a door that was left open, wether it was left open intentionally or not. Technically, I don't think this is even a manipulation. The patches are offered to us, there is nothing saying we can only play this game on the most recent patch version. Anyone playing without being connected is stuck on version 1.00. It's our choice to download them, therefor, I believe it's our choice to use the patches when we want to. Now, I am not a lawyer, these are my own interpretations.

There is no manipulation. Nobody touched one digit in the code, no patch, nothing.
Is only a programming error. Or bad testing, whatever you call it.

What I´m dissapointed of is that PD went in this direction of "pay for getting full access faster" to make money.
Keep this for the browser games but not for a fully paid product.

It's great that you've been able to do that, but please recognize that other people have different amounts of time that they can devote to the game. Why should their experience be tarnished because of the amount of time it takes to earn money and cars? And yes I know I can go and buy credits for real cash, but based on the scale that exists at the moment, that's not a sensible solution due to the amount of real money I'd have to spend (in addition to the $60 I've spent on the game) to obtain just one Cr.20m car.

With all that said, please recognize I'm not trying to convince you to go and run this glitch yourself, just that there are potentially many and varied reasons why people are doing this...

Thanks

You're both correct. I can't see any way that Sony could possibly seek legal action and attempt to collect financial penalties for this. Especially not at this point. Talk about the barn door being blown wide open. And they really don't have much of a legal leg to stand on. (Caveat--I'm not a lawyer). If they so choose, they could probably make a case to cancel your PSN account and or ban you from the PSN permanently for what they could consider a violation with their terms of use. To be frank, Sony could probably do this to just about anybody for just about any reason. But I couldn't possibly imagine this happening. It would be a PR nightmare for them. And they would be directly hurting their own customer base.

What I can imagine, are a LOT of heated discussions between Sony and PD for allowing such a glitch to exist, a lot of brain storming over how to close the hole (as has been widely discussed in this thread already) and how they could handle it differently going forward.

So...we've decided that because the payouts are low week 1 they will always be low and will never change? Just like GT5?

Don't get me wrong, if you want to do the glitch then have at it, but doesn't it kind of spoil the game if you're just pretty much starting off where you left off in GT5? and do people really feel that they needed every really expensive car right now? That kind of impatience is going to be the ruination of video games.

Dear Magic Ayrton

Stop offending everyone with your apparent logic and your massive ego that swells up like Jefailey's head.

Sincerely, everyone who is refusing to support Sony's Microtransactions.

Well I do tend do go a bit hard sometimes.. I agree, PD need to sort this mess out.. I'm hoping for high payout Seasonals soon in addition to the 100K we got for the BMW M4 event. But I suppose, when a company gets greedy, people retaliate. Thanks for your polite post by the way.

I can't disagree more. Video game have already been ruined by locking up all their content from the beginning. It's pointless and it takes effort on the dev's part making it a waste of time and other resources.

This glitch is the best "feature" I've heard of in GT6 so far. Many don't buy the game to grind, but instead to race. For me that is the only way to actually enjoy the game and things getting in the way of racing, like credits, are a great way to reduce the chance of me making purchase.

Now who is offending who with insults? Honestly, go bake your head in an oven.

That really depends on how one plays GT6, for instance, if I were someone who played in leagues a lot, it would suck if I weren't able to be in one I really wanted to compete in as the car you need is too expensive.
Same thing really.

Not really, it's like saying going for seconds at a buffet is the same as writing a bad check at the grocery store.

Not all. The end result is still the same. Obtaining something that isn't part of the game function.

Same thing really.
It really isn't.

You know, I don't want to come across as an arse when I say this but this is actually a thread aimed at people who want to do the credit glitch, it isn't supposed to be a debate as to whether we all agree on the morality of those who choose to do it. This isn't a situation like the one in GT5 when everyone was taking 10,000bhp cars into race lobbies so I think your view point, which you are of course entitled to, does not really belong in this thread. All it is likely to do is enflame a pointless debate, since most here are simply trying to find out how to do the credit glitch.... you know, because they want to.

Whether you agree with it or not, its a proportionate response to something most feel is either broken or unfair or both. Kaz has already said GT7 may be out in a year. If you want to wait that long to get a Ferrari GT250 or all the other classic race cars, great... just don't expect most people to feel the same way. Throwing your irritation around like that is not going to make people suddenly change their minds and you will just show yourself in an unfavourable light.

But if you bothered to read my recent posts I wouldn't have to post this one eh?
