20 million credits for free!

"le" before everything ruined it..
No, le 'le' made it funny. All I could picture were the french taunters standing at the parapets slapping their helmets at the english (SONY) pig-dogs. "He ees looking for ze holy grail, a le free $20million credit haul. I told heem, we already got le one".

OT...they will not see a single dollar from me for credits, it should have been of no surprise whatsoever that the in game economy would be skewed to 'encourage' people to have to buy credits. We've made hay while the sun shines here, but the message needs to be sent strongly that this will not be acceptable to the game community. This one single aspect of the 'game' could kill the golden goose. If it becomes clear that this is how they are going to go with the franchise, I will not be buying 7, and I'm sure many others will be of similar ilk. The trouble is that there are enough people out there who will happily continue to throw dollar after dollar into Sony's coffers.

i'm thinking of doing this, i just don't want to blow 2-3 hours on an update and blow my internet cap, but it might just be worth it.

It's not like I stay under it in a normal month anyway.

The only way to "fix" this would be to make the error car worth nothing. Or as much as the VGT car would be.
You can't. The car is sold in v1.00, where that version just sees the VGT or BMW M4 or Delta Wing or NSX concept as null data. And the exception handler basically sets the sell price for null data to 334 million credits. Changing the sell price of the car won't fix it because v1.00 can't recognize the data of the car.

This thread is comedy in its purest form.

OP: Hey guys I found a way to make lots of le credits really fast, no more grinding for realz! promise! :D
Glitchers:  I go perchace all le carz
Squares: But you cheet and brake le GT, y u no like le grind like rest of us :grumpy:
Glitchers: If you like le grind then le grind, I go drive all le carz k? ;)
Squares: No, PD should le ban you for no liking le grind and wanting all le carz
Glitchers: Why you still post in le thread? PD want real le money for fake le money after we pay le money for le GT. You have le game, I have le game. I le glitch and buy le carz, you le grind, everyone happy no?
Squares: No you ruin le GT :grumpy:

You can close le thread now. All posts have been summarized le here. LOL

+1. We all enjoy the game how we choose to. Jeez, in the old days of PS1, you could buy a product called Game Genie that would allow you to enter cheat codes on almost every game available.

Which, interestingly enough for the claim that Sony has ultimate control over what you do with your game when not using their services, was a completely legal product that Nintendo very notably attempted and failed to get pulled from the market.

I agree, so that's why I just did the glitch once .... got the most expensive cars but NOT every car. and am now carrying on with career mode without using my "glitch " cars or my "glitch" money - because I like the GT progression. but I also like racing on line & I like old cars & lots of the really expensive cars are old. But as has been said countless times before - as long as I am not messing with anyone else's experience in Gt6, I don't see the problem. The guys that have run the glitch several times & have every car in the game plus a stockpile of 20Mill cars for a rainy day aren't playing the game my way but crucially are not reducing my enjoyment of the game in the slightest. So if you are one of the complainers, how is what i have done affecting your game experience in any way?

There are a bunch of people out there that derive their enjoyment by being "better" than others. It's strange... I know... but for some people they want things that other people don't have. It provides a puffed up since of e-pride by having things in their single player experience that other people don't. This is reinforced by the "achievements" systems with wacky grinding trophies like that one in GTA IV where you had to go around finding and shooting like 100 pigeons. Some people get enjoyment out of that stuff, even though you'd think that a "single player" experience wouldn't have anything to do with anyone else's "single player" experience; where most people just feel that their own solo enjoyment is enough. Best to just ignore that element, it's everywhere in human culture. *shrug*

Hence why you back up your save? You can re-download the DLC also..

I was at 75%, backed up my save before doing the glitch and make sure the save was fine, did the glitch and everything went fine but when I restarted the game a few hours later after I did a bunch of races the game asked me if I wanna load the back up save. Since I had a dozen races past that back up and since I didn't know what this was all about I clicked on NO, and there it was: progress reset at 0%. So I thought I was a smart prudent guy cause I backed up my save before glitching but when I tried to load it the game recognized it as corrupt...

What I think is due to the game being buggy and glitchy, doing the glitch may raise the risk of loosing your progress.

Ohh, can't anybody see
We've got a war to fight
Never found our way
Regardless of what they say

How can it feel, this wrong
From this moment
How can it feel, this wrong

I find it very ironical. PDI claimed to abandon save game transfer from GT5 to GT6 because of hacking. But with this glitch, all glitches/hacks in GT5 are just minor

Actually GT6 have so many bugs, so it looks like PDI fired all their testers.

Thanks for the info. Sorry you lost it all. Seems the prudent thing is to back up to a memory stick.

I'd just really hate to see PD ruin GT by appealing to the people who want everything right away.

I would really hate to see GT ruined because of the greed of micro transactions. If Sony and PD thought it is necessary to put into the game for what ever reason, most probably because of other greedy developers and they also want in on the extra free cash. It is very greedy to want to even do this, then they squeez the game economy so as to make you feel that you have to otherwise you will be grinding for years.

I would not mind collecting cars providing the game had a good economy but since GT5 and GT6 are on the same machine with not much technical difference, I'm sure that they could of allowed us to port our cars over. The fact that they did not do this makes me question their greed, it was mentioned that this was not done because of hackers from GT5 but I very much doubt that.

It would be a shame to see Sony/PD tarnish their AAA title because of this practice, but there are options available. They are behaving as if their sim is the best on the market when it clearly is not. They still have to prove to us that they are not behind with the times, so this marketing move certainly does not make any sense.

My back up WAS on a USB key! It was intact until I tried to load it back, it then shows as corrupt (the broken grey icon). Weird isn't it!?

Hmm, i also backed up my save before glitching. I've already downloaded the update once already. It went pretty smooth, took about 15 minutes. I only plan on doing it a couple more times considering i've got most of the cars i want already. Not to mention Abunch of FXX's and vision GT's and X1's to sell if things start to get screwy.

That is why I will do this on another account and not my GTsimms. I don't want the risk of a possible ban on my account or corrupt file now or in a future patch.

Sorry... I had to :D

I literally just bought the game. Where is the BMW M4 to buy?

You get it by completing the latest seasonal in gold (or maybe just bronze?), or you could just buy it with the 20mill glitch talked about in this thread.

Or, use it to actually cause the 20mil glitch, because imo, the VGT is better than the M4, but either one will not register in version 1.00 and thus sell for 333 million credits. :/

EDIT: More on topic, I think that basically, the seasonal payout increases will only come once they've milked the micro-transactions, and tbh, this glitch must've made some impact on their revenue from that said source.

I do want to re-introduce a thought someone else mentioned, excluding spending big bucks on few cars, it'll be very hard to drive 20 mil credits worth of cars in a short space of time, owning them AND using them are two seperate things for sure, but this glitch removes the barrier to use any single car, without hours or days of gameplay.

And don't forget, every 20 mil credits you acquire does cost ~1.2GB of download each time to re-install patch 1.01, unless you have two PS3s handy, those backing up money in cars might want to cash in asap, because if this is patched, how that is possble idk, you'll be down to your last 20 million credits

It's not showing up in the dealership to buy for BMW. I guess I have to beat the challenge for it to appear? Guess I'll just go the VGT route.

Then the only way to stop the exploit would be making 1.01 required to play the game.

I did the glitch 4 times and downloaded the patch 4 times without any problem. And probably I'll do it one more time just to get some things I forgot ^^

As far as I understood you get 20M for each but due to money cap (20M in V.1.00) you have to buy cars and empty your pockets before you sell the next Beamer.

You forgot to add the group asking the same questions again and again in between :D

Not all. The end result is still the same. Obtaining something that isn't part of the game function.
The end goal might be the same, the methods are completely different.
So it's the same thing lol
With your obvious and bonafide logic you can stop collecting money by driving the cars.
'cause in the end you get the same result as the glitchers out here (including me) and therefor your method would be as false as the other two already mentioned will be.
Mind you, this is simply following our logic; mine would be enjoy the game as you want to

just trying to keep my cars competitive as well as save up for a few that I really want... I saw that it was never going to happen. Count me in for the glitch. once should really be enough, I just don't want to grind races all day. In GT5 I spent most of my time racing against my ghosts and I'd like to be able to do that in this game was well without having to play the game for 2 months straight before getting to do the things I like doing.
