20 million credits for free!

Sure enough, im just asking it. I dont know why we shouldn't download it when it's there. Just wonder if i can download it when im done with the glitch

I did the M4 trick and I have my 50,000,000 credits but I have to say don't really agree with the complaints about the price of the cars. Who's to say that you're supposed to be able to easily buy all the 20,000,000 priced cars? To me it's a perfectly acceptable game design decision to make these cars almost unattainable. You don't need them to win or to play the game. It makes them special to have them priced out of reach. Personally I bought the game because I love the driving, both cheap and expensive cars.

This bothers me. I can understand not being able to return PC games because you can No-CD patch them, but you can't with console games.
But you can take them home, rip them to your HDD, and have no need for the disk.

Wow, over fifty pages of discussion and argument over one tiny bit of imperfection, though some would deem it otherwise, found in a video game. Honestly, this is pretty awesome. It's nice to see so many opinions and ideas being shared, valid points made on every side of the spectrum. Personally, I am glad there is a, relatively, easy glitch to make more money in the game. I played a lot of GT5, and yet, I was never able to attain enough money to purchase some of those classic racing beasts, like the MKIV GT40 and the 330 P4. Now with the addition of the 250GTO and the MKI GT40 in Premium form, I was initially bummed that I would never be able to drive them, especially since there's no "Free Play" mode available. The glitch simply allows me, and other players, to finally get to drive those cars, without having to quit their job and invest more time into the game to get them.

Glitch or no glitch, this is a lovely debate. Whatever you choose to do, let it be your own decision. I'm cruisin' in my XJ13 and I'm not regretting it one bit!

Who's to say you have a right to any car in the game? Maybe the payout for every race should be $5. Cars are still technically attainable at that price right? The "real" fans would just enjoy the Fit RS and enjoy looking at the other cars. Your logic and post count leads me to believe you work for Sony or PD.

I don't really see it being any different than the initial ticket system in GT5. How many people had multiple accounts and then gifted the tickets to their main account or friends. Then opening the tickets until they got the car they wanted.

So, is doing the glitch only once best for casual gamers who don't buy too many expensive cars?

By the way, if PD patches this (which they will), they should change the prices of cars.

You can do this glitch how many times you like.

I will admit to using the glitch and feel no shame. Since I spent numerous hours "grinding" to get the cars I wanted in GT5, perhaps most of us would not have used the glitch if we could have been given the opportunity to transfer our cars from GT5....

How did you get 50,000,000 credits, I tired selling two of the Mercs back to back and end up losing 20 mil , am I missing something here ?

I'm actually looking forward to the official response, if any, but I think its impossible to punish us who've glitched and not those who haven't, so I think we're sweet.

Think about it, they couldn't, 'not', allow us to upgrade patches anymore, what if someone bought the game and hasn't played it yet?

They can't force us to patch if we're offline either, so 1.00 will exist forever, so too can our 1.01 saves (especially if backed up).

Could they integrate the game data and the save data?

The worst thing they could do is when 1.02 is out, make it a massive file size, so then re-doing the glitch isn't just a case of 1.2GB, 1.02 > 1.0 > 1.02, would take a bit more time, but isn't that it?

I do not see any reason not to do this glitch, even if you already bought credits with your own money (atleast get your moneys worth! 500,000,000cr sounds good right?)

If I were you guys, I'd start stocking up on those 20mill credit cars to sell when the download size for updates is just way too big.

I have just lost [2] 2,000,000 credit Peugeots among many others in the stockyard that I am 100% certain that I had already purchased. I could only imagine how upset I would be if I paid $50/7M and just lost approximately $30. Do you think PD/Sony would credit/refund me the lost portion? I think not. Thus, for PD/Sony to implement micro-transactions for digital content with no security feature in the event of data loss is absolutely asinine.

WARNING: I have just experienced multiple losses of [2055] and [2074] vehicles while trying to transfer some of them from the stockyard to the garage. DO NOT DO THIS! For those of you with these vehicles in the stockyard, leave them there and sell them there!

I decided I needed some more money tonight, my previous 200 million did not even scratch the surface. I've now had over £2400 of microtransactions value in credits and I still only have 197 cars in my garage (72% into game). The reality is that with the current game economy you're never going to get them without these hot deals.

Guys at Sony must be smoking crack if they think that 1 car should cost £120. I wasn't going to do the special offer deal again, but looking at all the cars that I still didn't own and the price tags on them, and the fact that even when I'm racing my bollox off my credits are just nowhere. I didn't want to play the game until 2023 (when GT7 releases) just to buy a few cars.

I thought screw it, gave BMW a call and we did a few deals, things worked out nicely and I have some new arrivals at the Bigbazz garage.

My bad? Gave in and did this once. Got a few favourite cars, now enjoying the game a little more despite it's flaws.

Not feeling terribly guilty after seeing the race rewards to be honest. Probably won't do it again as, personally, I have what I wanted, but I can certainly see the attraction of doing it repeatedly.

Still will buy any DLC etc. Assuming I don't get ban hammered for taking advantage of what is very lazy programming / play testing. It just gave me a few more cars and made the game an awful lot more enjoyable.

My 2cs at any rate.

And you'll never use all those credits in the whole of this game's life, so... what a waste of time :D
I've done this glitch three times with the Merc and I'm pretty sure I have enough credits to get me to the end of the game

See there's the difference right there! You did the glitch three times!? I did it ONCE!

I hav enough credits to buy what i want when I want, cars, paint, tuning, customization, including any cars I might want duplicates of due to different custom looks, I also have kids so I may find myself buying triplicates. The only reason I have less than 500 cars for now is the stockyard glitch.

You think PD will get rid of the 50 million cap, since its in the 1.02 patch ?? People who have more than 20 million will just freeze up? And unplayable? I'm happy with my 20 million in credits. No need to be greedy. :boggled:

Even with the PSN version, I decided to glitch.

Bought a BMW M4, deleted the game and then downloaded it again. Took about 90 minutes to download and install. Sold the M4 for 20 million, updated the game, bought 166 M4s, deleted and downloaded again.

Then I bought all of the expensive cars in the game, and kept selling another M4 when I ran out of spending money. Many of the duplicate cars have only a paint scheme to differentiate between them, and with so many models being nearly the same car, I was able to visit each manufacturer one at a time and grab all of the cars I would ever want to drive. I still had about 100 M4s sitting in my garage, so I laboriously sold and then purchased 50 Ferrari's and 50 Ford for 20 million each that sell for 6 million on the updated version of the game.

Now I have all of the cars that I want, and I spread out the paint schemes as much as I could so that I had plenty of options available. I cleaned out the helmet and racing stores uniforms as well. And with 600 million tied up in those 100 cars, I'm in good shape for tuning, which I almost never do anyway, as I mostly just time trial in stock cars. Once I have more confidence in the stockyard, I might bother to try and grab every car in the game.

As monotonous and time consuming as this process was, I still prefer it to having to drive around the game's infuriatingly dense AI drivers over and over again for a month or longer just so I could purchase one car. At least with the glitch I was able to watch some football games during the process.

Has anyone seen a complete GT6 vehicle database with price list? I am curious to know the exact in-game credits required to acquire all vehicles and accessories (helmets, suits)...

According to Kudosprime.com the value of all cars is at least 549,636,792 Cr (in v.1.01). Value that count also the Bonus DLC vehicles from the 15 anniversary version.
I think than the value of all accessories do not will exceed three millions.
does anybody know, what cars still cost 20 million in 1.01?
  • Ferrari 250 GTO CN.3729GT '62
  • Ferrari 330 P4 '67
  • Jaguar XJ13 Chrome Line
  • Jaguar XJ13 '66
  • Ford GT40 Race Car '69
  • Ford Mark IV Race Car '67
...This glitch just destroyed micro-transactions!

At least they will learn the lesson...I'm not against DLC, but at least with true content like you says, new cars, new tracks.
GT5 "We Love Cars"
GT6 "We Can Glitch All of Them"

Well I just brought 166 M4's a calculated wealth of 3,320,000,000 in game credits.
Sold 31 of them to build my car collection to over 350 cars (no I didn't upgrade them ALL! But I did upgrage A LOT OF THEM!).
Sold 134 M4's in exchange for 134 Ford GT40's as future deposit on any cars i want to by and or upgrade.
And sold the last M4 to return to 1.01 with 20M in my pocket.

All in all considering I won the M4 i started all this with I'd have to say that was a damned good investment!

I made almost the same, just I buy all "premium" cars possible, and all cars "standart" that cost more than 1M. Then I put this last ones in the deposit.
One more thing, careful with the deposit, some have lost cars with.
...There's no way Sony will allow this to continue in light of their cash for credits scheme. In the meantime all of the original discs that have version 1.00...

I've got the same opinion...I think for SONY and PD, it will be wise recover all the rest of unsold disk to replace by one corrected version of the game.
Maybe that be a lesson to SONY and PD to propose a better pay in game than a micro (but expansive) transaction...Since they lowered the price of some cars between v1.0 and 1.01, they also can increase the gains after a race. And like that, increase the interest of the gamers..
By the way, if PD patches this (which they will), they should change the prices of cars.

I Hope so...

My .02 cents, the best fix would have been limit the downloads or pull patch 1.01 until the next patch. But, its too late for those who have multiple hdd's and both (digital/disc versions.)

If your calculations are correct, 549,636,792 credits / 7,000,000 credits = 78.5 credit cards X $50.00 = $3,925.97! Shame on you PD/Sony!
