Woah.

The punishment seems a little light.

I mean, he possibly endangered a man's life. I would think that would permit a ban from the NBA, or at least, banned for the rest of the season.

I supposed times were a bit different then in th NBA.
I agree. In today's NBA, I think the chance of lifetime ban is a very good one.

You guys know, Oden and Durant aren't even a lock for this year's draft anyway. Both of them have said they wanna wait until the college season ends before they really decide. Durant's father has said he'd rather have the kid do another year in college, to get a good education.
And you believe this nonsense? I'd almost bet my life that Oden and Durant come out.

Durant isn't going to school for the education. And what is one more year of college going to do him? If he's going there for education he's going for four years.

Every college player says this stuff. Sean May, on stage after winning the National Championship, said he was staying for his Senior year and he was going to try to bring McCants, Felton and Williams back with him. They all declared about 17 minutes later.

Well it looks like the Heat are gonna slow it down now and play more old school defense, since the last 4 or 5 wins without Wade have been in the 80's.

Maybe we can pull off a 2005 Spurs to get deep in the postseason?

Ginobili..... :guilty: Blazers were killing the Spurs, with their last decent lead at 7 with just couple of minutes left. That's when Spurs made four 3-pointers in a row.... to Blazers' zero. A 12-0 run, just like that.

Wow.

Damn, I was pullin for the Blaze again. And they let me down.

And if our local Ticket radio station's stats are correct the Mavericks have a record streak of 51 of 56--which they say no team in any professional sport has that kind of a run. 51 of 56 games...that's just insane.

What I've heard is that they've only lost two since December. I dont know I dont listen to the Ticket.
We lost to Chicago in January.

Anyways, wow 3 stories going on now.

1st off, Kobe is suspended again, but only for tonight.
2nd, the Pistons will lose L. Guard for 10 games after being postive for phentermine.
3rd, Artest has been arrested for domestic abuse.

Well, maybe a 4th. Carmello became a father today. He is still considered as being immature right now.

As for Mavs, we shouldn't have to hard a problem with the Lakers.

1st, we will never play Odom this season. He is injured again and out for the rest of the season. 2ndly, the little 3-point shooter who helped kill us last time is out. They've also lost another player. So we shouldn't have too much trouble with them as we have before.

We just can't let them kill our streak again.

Do you even remember what losses feel like? I'll trade you places. :P

You mean there is something other than W's? :sly:

1st off, Kobe is suspended again, but only for tonight.

David Stern needs to go screw himself. Kobe isn't doing that on purpose. No need to suspend him for nothing when you have REAL offenders out there.

by that logic, bruce bowen should be banned from NBA
Good point.

I'm really competitive when playing ball, but guys who play dirty used to get under my skin. I've grown out of it, but it used to spark some serious hack-fest, and guys getting thrown to the floor. Funny. I play ball tonight, and one of those guys are going to be there. I haven't played ball with him for about a year, and I was bit nervous about it.

If you don't hear back from me tonight, I might be in hospital or jail. :P

What do you guys think of this article? Obviously i have no credibility in agreeing with it, but well, i do.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=neel/070309

Now, under Avery Johnson's able direction and bulldog disposition, they're prone to win at a slower pace, with more isolations and jump shots. They have a method, but no style, nothing I can get behind, nothing that stands out.
This guy does no research does he? The Mavs before Avery were crap. They were an average team.

All in all.
The guy's basically saying, "The Mavs are great, but they don't have rings, so they suck."

Obviously he has no actual clue. The only way you don't get excited about this kind of thing is if you are a closet Mavs hater. Dirk is anything but boring to watch. This guy really needs to wake up, he just isn't being honest with the readers. If he has such a respect for them and all the false positives he wrote he WOULD infact be entertained and impressed. Everyone is so quick to dismiss the Mavs claiming they're pretenders...we'll see playoff time.

I'm sorry. I had to stop reading the article about half way through, because I was beginning to feel nauseous.

I have three things to say at that article and the loser who wrote it:

1) Cry me a effin' river.
2) This is another confirmation that 90% of sports writers are idiots.
3) Opinions are like you know what. Everybody's got them, and yours especially stinks.

First he goes on about how great Dallas is, then puts them down saying that he doesn't feel anything from the team. Huh? I'll be honest with you guys. I don't feel the same excitement that I felt for the MJ/Pippen/Jackson's Bulls, or Sabonis/Rashweed/Pippen's Blazers from Dirk's Mavs. How does that have to do with anything? Are Dallas supposed to win an Oscar for the Best Picture or something?

When he started mouthing off about how Dirk Nowitzki is boring to watch, that's when I had to stop. As you guys know, I'm a bit of basketball freak. And as you could imagine, I know a lot of basketball & NBA fans. Dirk is as popular as almost any players amongst true b-ball fans. This is because people who appreciate the game can also appreciate a 7-footer who can move like a small forward, shoot as well as anyone in the world. I mean comparing this guy to KG, Arenas(not in the same league), LeBron, and say Dirk is somewhat lacking? Let me put it this way. You guys know I'm not a Dallas fan. I'd be less upset, if he actually claimed that Dirk Nowitzki is the best player in the league.

Mr. ESPN: You are one of those brainwashed fools that have to see NBA Superstars produced by David Stern to appreciate any basketball. Just stick to your analysis on a NBA All-Star Weekend or something and leave us alone. Thank you.

Sorry to double post, but I had to share this with you guys.

One of my posts at the Blazers Forum is being featured on the Blazers.com, which is really cool. But what really made my day is that they also put my member pic/avatar thing I made, along with my post. It's a pic of Zach Randolph posting up against Houston's Juwan Howard, but I pasted my head on Zach. OMG, that really made my day! Check out my smile in the picture, it's under my real name, Shintaro.

I am so disappointed in Dallas. Just getting murdered by the Golden State Warriors, a 29-36 team who is 10th in our division.

Dallas better make this up on Wednesday against Phoenix.

That's just how it goes. The Warriors got blown out by the Blazers, just last night. Tonight, they go onto beating the Mavs(wow, I just saw the score), who are one of the best teams in the league. It's almost comical how great teams on strides go on to lose against some of the worst teams in the league.

I credit that win for the Warriors on Don Nelson. I don't care what anyone says--he's a genius. A loss is just a loss. I doubt the team is let down that much, it was just a hiccup. An off night was bound to happen. I'm just glad it was against Golden State and not Los Angeles.

Man, Dallas lost again. I hope we get back on a winning streak after the Celtics game.

But at least I'd rather have lost to Nash than Kobe.

Back-to-back, eh?

Blazers did, too, but that's no news. I went to go see the Blazers/Pistons game tonight. For two nights in a row, Blazers started the first half by scoring just 37 points. We are young, but come on. :indiff:

Blazers are on the road to play the Lakers tomorrow. It should be pretty ugly.

P.S. Our #1 pick, LaMarcus Aldridge is really coming along though. I think he had 24 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks last night. Tonight, 14 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks. 👍

Hahaha that's awesome man, congrats. Sick pic. :sly:

But Kobe was the man tonight.

First, I want to get this off my chest: Another 8-on-5 game tonight. Some of the stuff refs were letting Kobe get away with was just amazing. At the end of the O/T, Kobe just knocked down Brandon Roy to the floor with his arm, I turned off the TV in frustration. There were few classics as well, like Kobe walks up to our PG, hugs him, pulls him down like he's a wrestler. All our PG(Jack) was doing was just standing upright. The call? On our PG, of course. Refs made enough difference tonight, they indeed won the game for the Lakers. Bah, I don't care. Go NBA Lottery.

Oh, yeah. Back to Kobe. That man could not be stopped! At first, Blazers defense did the right thing. Play him straight up, maybe double him, here & there. Let Kobe beat us, isolating rest of the Lakers, make them stand around....... But Kobe just making shots after shots. By the 4th quarter, we were triple, quadruple teaming him. No use. They(He) forced the overtime, where the Lakers "Kobe Show" continued. 116-111, Lakers, Final. Kobe? 65 points, which is the most points scored on the Blazers by any individual player. Great job, Kobe. Thanks for nothin' :(

That's 9 in a row for the Heat. Longest current winning streak in the NBA and nothing about it anywhere. Wow.
