Mmmm 65 wins tastes real good. 4 games left? Maybe 69 wins is a possibility? The Clippers have lost 3 in a row and Golden State is now in the 8th spot. That is not a series I want to see. Golden State will take the Mavs to 6 or 7 games if the Mavs aren't prepared. But, we'll still prevail. Between the Hornets, Clippers, and Golden State that last 8th spot in the West is getting tight.

You know we picked up Kevin Willis, he just might have some left in the tank and provide some real mental and physical toughness than our centers really need.

Portland needs some good quality trades this off season. With a few moves they might be a 6th or 7th seed next season.

Left in... tank... What tank!? Kevin Willis is older than dirt. Last time he was good, I think I was still a teenager! Wait! Did he have a son? How about a grandson?

With decent officiating + heathy players, I think the Blazers will be a playoff team in 2008. Unfortunately, officiating in Blazers games this season have been the worst professional refereeing I have ever witnessed, and our players are not very durable.

I'd love to see the Blazers move Darius Miles, or Zach Randolph, but with the big contract they have, I doubt the Blazers will be able to pull off any decent trades. At least, we should get a decent pick in the draft.

No doubt the Blazer organization will get better with the right pieces. They are a young and dangerous team. And of course you got Roy who is probably going to be Rookie Of the Year. Roy will only get better. Scary team.

The Rockets barely edge out the Blazer yesterday. They had a 25 point but had a horrible 4th and let Blazer get back in the game. We still won. It was the best for both teams. Rockets for home court advantage and Blazers for lottery.

That's what I was thinking, too. When I was listening to the game last night, and I think the Rocket's lead was close to 30 points! Then of course, it got close at the end, I actually found myself hoping for the Blazers to lose. :guilty:

Is Avery smart for benching some of our players when we were in a rhythm? Stack for a couple of games, Dirk for a game, Terry for a game, Harris for a game. We lost to Utah because no Terry or Stack...wtf Avery WTF!

If this indeed is a new trend, sounds like he's studying his own players and the team. Gearing up for the Playoffs?

Almost at the end of the regular season, guys. My Blazers have just one more game left.

They've been trying very hard to lose the remaining games. Our team had so many players "injured", *wink wink* , by the time the game ended, there was just Fred Jones on the bench. Yes, 6 players, total. Blazer announcers were starting to joke around, "we better check our bags to see if we brought our uniforms.", "we might have to get the coach to change(he used to play for the Sonics)".

Now Avery benches practically the entire 1st squad and even a member of the 2nd squad. I hope Avery knows what he's doing.

We are using our third strings, too, but not by choice. At least not the coach's. Could we borrow some(players) tomorrow?

Your Blazers better win tomorrow night. I'm pulling for them. I want to have the Lakers in the first round. Or do the Warriors need to win and the Lakers lose?

Not hapenning, my friend. We need all the help we can get, so we can get lucky in the lottery! :P Besides, it looks like you need the Lakers to slide down to the 8th spot to play them in the 1st round.

Records are even, and Golden State is hot, Lakers are not. Golden State plays the limping Blazers, Lakers play the Kings. I think the chance is pretty good, that your Mavs will be facing the Lakers first.

--------------------------------------------------------------

I just realized, but a lot of big NBA news this evening:

Sonics likely won't play in Seattle beyond 2007-08 season

Grizzlies' West to call it quits after season

Ref Crawford suspended for conduct; Duncan fined $25K

Looks like my Kings are destined to finish bottom of the Pacific division this season but I think Kevin Martin's had a good breakthrough year so there are some positives. Looks like the curse of Abdur Rahim continues! ;-p

Hmmm, I want so badly to annhilate the Lakers in the Playoffs ON their home floor. That would be more satisfying than you could even imagine. That would be like you Blazer fans beating the MJ Bulls on their home court in a series.

Good to see an NBA fan in the UK. 👍

Not only is it cool to see a NBA fan from U.K., but Mark's a knowledgeble one, too. Shareef even played in Portland, but I bet most of the casual Portland fans have never even heard of his curse. I think Mark deserves some rep points for that. 👍

Took me long enough, but I went to another game tonight. Yes, the Blazer's final game of the season, and it was a very special one, aside from one of my favorite players, Travis Outlaw scoring career high 36 points.

For the first time, I witnessed a jersey number retirement ceremony(Lionel Hollin #14). It was also a 30 year anniversary of the Portland Trail Blazers only Championship, so it ended up being a double feature................................. oh, and they had Blazer Dancers anniversary thing, and I think they had like 40 dancers out there.*wipes drool* And my seat was right next to the corridor where they were standing by right before they went in to perform, so everytime I glanced( ;) ) at them, I was looking down into cleavage.*wipes again* They need to do something about that, before some pervert gets arrested. :dopey:

Correctomundo.

Avery is not only limiting injury possibilities but keeping the team in a "I WANT TO PLAY D*MMIT!" kind-of-mood.

And we'll need it. We've got Golden State First Round.

But I will most likely be watching the Suns and Lakers rounds more. I don't know who to root for though it may end up being the Suns.

Final game of the season that I went to, that was against the Golden State Warriors. All the Blazer fans and NBA fans I know are pretty impressed with them around here. They did look real good killing the (shorthanded)Blazers. I don't see them beating Dallas in a Playoff series though. Then again, after the last year's NBA Finals, who effin' knows!

So what are everyone's playoff predictions?

I don't understand why i see so many commentators picking the Nets to beat the Raptors. I think the Raptors will do much better. But then again it's true that they are playoff newbies...

I'm rooting for the Raps. I started liking that team just couple of seasons ago, when my Blazers were tanking games, Raptors just kept playing to win, though they were lottery team.

We(Blazers) ended up with the worst possible pick for a team with the worst record(4th pick), while Raptors got THE 1st pick. Justice.

That wasn't the first time I've seen the team that played harder get rewarded in the Lottery either. Maybe Lottery's rigged. :D
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have no idea who's going to win the West. I'm rooting for San Antonio as usual, but I'd love to see Phoenix in the Finals, too. Mavs interest me. I'd love to see them kill the Warriors, but that series could be unpredictable also.

In the East, I want to see Detroit and Heat gone(sorry, Gian :D), but I don't know about those two series either. Pistons, actually, I think should win the series without any issues. Heat/Bulls series should be a good one, eh? I think that is one of the best 1st round battles in this year's Playoffs.

Haha, Nets and Raptors! Can't ask for much more than that if you're me. ;) It was definitely lame watching the Raptors blow home court advantage in the first game though. :indiff: New Jersey has a lot of talent, I'm kind of wishing now that the Wizards could've held on to that 6th seed. :scared: Oh well, Vince Carter's team against Toronto in the first round, you know this is exactly what most Raptors fans wanted.

I'm looking forward to the action today, Lakers/Suns and Warriors/Mavs should be two very entertaining series' to watch. I love Kobe Bryant, but I'd really like to see Steve Nash and the Suns get to the finals this year.

I know there's a lot of Maverick fans here, so are any of you a little worried about having to play the Warriors? Dallas should win, but I'd be very surprised if Golden State doesn't take the series to 6 or 7 games, like JCE3000GT said. Should be a great first round.

I can't wait for game 2. Avery should rip a new one in each player for that abomination. And will someone punch Baron Davis in his smug mouth please? There were a couple of cheap shots delivered by the Warriors and I hope the Mavs take it personally. Like Barkley said we need our centers to actually be on the court and not on the bench. Dampier would probably protect the paint a little better than Dirk.

Well, I was very glad to see the Spurs and the Mavs win last night. Tonight, I was glad to see the Lakers avoid a sweep. I'm for Phoenix in that series, but I bet my coworker that Lakers will not be swept, so. Don't get too excited, the winning is just a XL Baja Blast(soda).

Oh, and Saleen, I'm rooting for the Raptors, man! 👍

WTF is going on? Did the Mavs gear up for the Finals and forget you have to actually GET there first? Did they expect to leap-frog the first and second playoff rounds? I don't want a 7-game series, and it is gearing up to be one. Phoenix will take care of the Lakers in 5 and be rested for their next round opponent. I don't want Phoenix when they are rested and we are tired from a 7-game grueling series.

*kicks the Mavs in the pants* STOP BULL****TING!

Dude, Warriors might not even be looking at a seven game series. I couldn't have agreed more with kicking the Mavs in the pants though. Just pathetic, right now. I sure hope the Spurs cool down Denver even more.

I was also dissapointed Orlando didn't put up much of fight against Detroit. I wonder if Blazin/Joey's still rooting for them(I'd imagine). One thing I'm really happy about in the playoffs has been the Bulls-Heat series(sorry, gian :D). I know Giancarlo loves his team, but I just can't stand Shaq, Walker and Payton. Go Bulls! :sly:

As a huge Detroit fan I'm hoping for the best from the Pistons, they gave me a bit of a scare today though.

I want Denver to win, and they have a legitimate chance to win. If Dallas gets bounced out of the playoffs I'm going to be going for Denver and the Bulls to get into the Finals.

That being said...

*kicks the Mavs in the pants AGAIN!* JUST WIN YOU JACKASSES!

I know Giancarlo loves his team, but I just can't stand Shaq, Walker and Payton.

I don't really like them much either, except when they do really well.

I dunno, this Bulls-Heat series has made me mad. They match up really well against the Heat enough as it is, and if the Heat don't start playing at 100% by today's game then i think there's a good chance of a sweep.

If they play at 100% for once by making stops or at least some free throws, then they can win 4 in a row. If they were able to beat Dallas 3 in a row last year, they can beat the Bulls 4 in a row this year.

I don't know, Gian. Look at the Mavs in the playoffs this year, they are folding like origami again! I wouldn't expect the Bulls or most other NBA teams to drop even three games in a row after leading the series, 2-0, 3-0.

I'm worried that Mavs might become one of those elite regular season teams that crumbles in the post season. I wish they'd wake the hell up!

Oh, and Go Spurs! Yeah! 👍
