But Kobe was the man tonight.

First, I want to get this off my chest: Another 8-on-5 game tonight. Some of the stuff refs were letting Kobe get away with was just amazing. At the end of the O/T, Kobe just knocked down Brandon Roy to the floor with his arm, I turned off the TV in frustration. There were few classics as well, like Kobe walks up to our PG, hugs him, pulls him down like he's a wrestler. All our PG(Jack) was doing was just standing upright. The call? On our PG, of course. Refs made enough difference tonight, they indeed won the game for the Lakers. Bah, I don't care. Go NBA Lottery.

Oh, yeah. Back to Kobe. That man could not be stopped! At first, Blazers defense did the right thing. Play him straight up, maybe double him, here & there. Let Kobe beat us, isolating rest of the Lakers, make them stand around....... But Kobe just making shots after shots. By the 4th quarter, we were triple, quadruple teaming him. No use. They(He) forced the overtime, where the Lakers "Kobe Show" continued. 116-111, Lakers, Final. Kobe? 65 points, which is the most points scored on the Blazers by any individual player. Great job, Kobe. Thanks for nothin' :(
That's typical. Kobe gets away with a lot of stuff, it just seems to Lakers fans that the only 2 people who do get away with more are LeBron and Wade.

Either way, I'm surprised. How could you have let the Lakers destory their 7-game losing streak? The shame. :D

That's 9 in a row for the Heat. Longest current winning streak in the NBA and nothing about it anywhere. Wow.

Probably cause Dallas set a record of being the first team to hit 12+ wins in a row 3 times in one season. :sly:

They did it with Dirk and Howard. We did it without Wade and Kapono, our two leading scorers.

I don't think most people will care into that much detail since in the end, Dallas has set a NBA record while Miami is just at what, their first 10-win streak?

Ok you're not seeing my point. The Heat won 9 in a row without their two leading scorers.

And do you think anyone from any other team is going to care?
No.

Why? Because it's not new. Other teams have done it before. The only teams people are talking about concerning streaks are the Mavs and Phoenix because both teams are hitting 2 or 3 teen-streaks.

Can you name 5 for me please?

Yes, because they have all their players. Nash went down and the Suns started slipping a little, too.

Win those 8 or 9 games against mostly Western Conference playoff opponents and then we'll talk about the streak.

Are you gonna sit there and tell me the pincushion that is the Eastern Conference hasn't helped the Mavs in their streaks? Are you joking?

Wow, ok. So, um let's see.

Eastern:
Philadelphia
Milwaukee
Miami #6
Atlanta
Cleveland #2
Orlando
New Jersey

Western:
Sacramento
Seattle
Memphis
Minnesota
Memphis
Houston #5
Denver #7
Minnesota
Los Angeles #6

Number of East Games Played: 7
Number of West Games Played: 9
Three of those West Games were against some of the toughest teams in the NBA.

Oh yeah, you guys in the East sured helped us with our last streak.

We plated 3 top people in the West. About 60% of the West teams we played that wouldn't be in the Playoffs right now, are also better than 1/3rd of the East.

The best team we played in the East was Cleveland.

But hey, thanks for being one of those teams to help us set NBA History.

So you played 2 more Western teams than Eastern teams? What difference does that make in winning over 10 games in a row?

It means the teams we played in the West were tougher than nearly all of the teams we played in the East.

Miami is nowhere as tough as Los Angeles, Houston, Minnesota, and many of the lower teams we played in the West are still better than most of the Easten teams we played.

The point is that we played more teams in the West to get our high-streak, which means something because the teams in the West are undoubtedly tougher and better than most of the East.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but the Raptors are winning. I'm happy that Toronto will (probably) get the 4 seed for the playoffs, but at the same time a little disappointed with how terrible the Nets are. Anyway, same old story I guess, the West is incredibly strong, the East sucks.

Individual scoring wise, he is as great as M.J., if not better.... nah, probably not.

My man! Good to see you, dude! :)

Yes, I've been noticing the division leading Raptors, and how Kidd's still rotting in NJ with the trade that fell through(I'm such a hater...).

How you've been liking the Rookie of the Year race between Adam Morrison, Andrea Bargnani and Brandon R.O.Y.? :sly:

R.O.Y....nice. To be honest though, I've heard/seen almost nothing about Brandon Roy. But I read that he leads the rookie class in points, minutes and assists haha. My bad I guess. Going purely off that, I think you'd have to give it to him. I guess Bargnani's case is who's team has had better success. :sly:

And yes, it's an absolute shame that Jason Kidd is stuck on that garbage team. The Nets 32-38? I wouldn't have predicted that, there's too much talent on that team for them to be that bad. Especially in such a weak division.

I've told you this in the past already, but I still respect the Raptors for winning. Most teams with similar roster would simply throw games and head for the lottery sweepstakes. Blazers did, last year. :ouch:

Wow did anyone else see that Warriors/Suns game last night? It was nuts, i've gotten so used to slow boring Heat games.

I really like the Warriors team now though, wow. Except for Stephen Jackson because he's a douchebag.

I unfortunately missed that game due to having to work. I really wanted to watch that game--was it up and down the whole way?

Well all i saw was the 3rd and some of the 4th quarters, but actually the Warriors were putting a beatdown on the Suns at their own game, running around like you have your head cut off. :sly:

That stupid trade gave GoldenState so much talent. The Houston Rockets play the Warriors tommorow - i'm afraid. We play great defense - but they have a ton of players that can score at any time.

We need to play great defense and offense to win this one... Yao, TMAC, and the bench needs to step up.

Even though the Mavs have slowed down towards the end of the season, you guys have to beat the Warriors.

That way, we can play the Clippers in the First Round. Plus, you'll be helping keep out the Warriors. They need a win to potentially get back in.

We beat rollazn's team with two of the starters out(:P), but we are up against Dallas right now. We got our second string center, third string power forward, third string point guard starting tonight. And two of the legitimate starters, one's fresh out of the minors, the other one's a second year player.

I think we might be repositioning for the lottery..... :D

Yeah - the Rockets also had two starters out. And those two starters are the second leading scoring duo in the league. No Tracy McGrady or Yao Ming... blah.

We're going to be facing Utah in the playoffs - I think we'll be able to take them... With or without home court advantage.

I know. Just yanking your chain.

We beat Utah, too. If Dirk didn't have such a big game, we wouldn't have taken Dallas down tonight. :P

Seriously though, Jason Terry was money tonight. 👍 Hope to see him play in the playoffs at that level. I was dissapointed that I didn't get to see Stack at all. Was he injured or something?

I missed last night's game and half of tonight's game because I'm feeling ill and have slept most of the last 24 hours. Only thing I noticed was a few bench players got some minutes tonight. I can't believe we lost at Denver 71-75, how the hell did that happen? Was the entire starting lineup injured or something? McLaren care to tell me how that happend? So much for 70 wins--but I didn't really care about the big 70 win plateau. All I care about is getting the ring.
