Got some shots with an actual camera this morning...., they're a little better than the cell phone shots. :dopey:

Car looks really good 👍!!!

And one thing I've been meaning to ask you, does your car wink in your avatar?

Thanks, I take that as a huge compliment since it has the front end that so many people have the opinion that it's hideous. :)

Winking avatar? Maybe..... :sly:

I think the front looks great, it's not so generic it's boring but it's not so over the top that people think you are some boy racer running around. It's like a grown up WRX.

I really like it!

I think the Legacy has always been the "handsome one" of Subaru's lineup. It looks good. 👍

Thanks!

Just added the rear lip spoiler tonight....I'll have to post some pics!

I like it 👍, especially in the first picture which has pretty sweet lighting.

Well...might have to sell the car if I can't control myself. I got my second speeding ticket since I got the car.... It's just, well....too fast. I'm doing a 100MPH and I swear it only feels like 60.:irked:

Well, I don't think that it's too fast. It's that it rides to well. ;)

But I agree. My brother's LGT is very smooth as well. Use that cruise control bud! :D

Get a radar detector, they are lifesavers. I have a Escort Passport 8500 with the blue LEDs and it's probably one of the best things I've bought for the vehicle. They have the new 9500 which is better and has GPS which you can program known speed traps. This is however barring it's all legal in your state.

I'm also running a police (nascar) scanner, CB radio, and a few other goodies as well in my truck which work pretty well. And before anyone asks it was all for a state wide road rally I was part of some time back.

Looking to do a couple of upgrades:

Quicktime Movie of a LGT with this exhaust.

Along with the exhaust, I will have to install Cobb's (to be released in December) Access Port with custom maps to take my LGT to a Stage 2 tuning and should take my stock 243hp as the flywheel to just over 300hp.

Along with that upgrade would be a coil over upgrade:

Racecomp Engineering Tarmac 1 Threaded Body Dampers (Coilovers) for 2005-2008 Subaru Legacy GT and Spec B

Elkridge, Maryland – September 27th, 2007. Nine months ago, Racecomp Engineering answered the call of Subaru enthusiasts everywhere and released a coilover for the Subaru Impreza. Designed by enthusiasts and for enthusiasts, this coilover filled the needs that other options lacked. Several autocross and track podiums later, Racecomp Engineering has proved that they are a serious contender in the high performance coilover market.

Seeing the need for a similar system for the Subaru Legacy GT and Spec B, Racecomp Engineering is proud to announce their highly anticipated Tarmac 1 complete coilover system. Racecomp Engineering has been regarded as the authority on suspension and brake components in the Subaru Impreza community, focusing on both the hardcore track day enthusiast and the daily driver. Playing vital roles in the research and development of innovative motorsports parts, Racecomp Engineering has provided unique solutions that no other vendor can offer.

Racecomp Engineering Tarmac 1 coilovers are comprised of stainless steel dampers mated to linear race springs. Precise adjustments to rebound damping can be made throughout a wide range of adjustment. The Tarmac 1 coilovers feature 3 different daily drivable yet track worthy spring rates, helper springs, composite locking perches with safety perches added, a stainless steel corrosion resistant coating, and a limited lifetime warranty.

Valved specifically for American roads and circuits, these dampers feature more then enough travel to provide exceptional ride quality. Coupled with matched linear spring rates, body roll, squat, and dive are vastly reduced, resulting in improved grip and controllability at the limit.

Racecomp Engineering chose KW Suspension to co-brand the Tarmac 1 coilovers due to their remarkable racing heritage, consistent and impressive build quality, and phenomenal presence and support in the United States. Racecomp Engineering and KW Suspension have jointly worked on and added many differentiating options and features to the design of an already tried and proven damper.

After emerging as an exceptional knowledge resource for Subaru suspension applications through years of first hand experience with nearly every suspension option available, Racecomp Engineering can now provide their own solution that truly caters to the core of Subaru Legacy enthusiasts.

Racecomp Engineering offers three spring rate options for the Tarmac 1 coilovers:

500 lbs/400 lbs
400 lbs/400 lbs
400 lbs/350 lbs

Are radar detectors legal in Michigan?

Legal to buy/sell, just not legal to use correct?

That's how it is here in Montana anyways.

It's legal to buy, sell, and use a radar detector. I use mine whenever I go out and drive and I haven't gotten nicked yet by the police (not that I would be speeding or anything :sly:). Radar jammers are illegal to buy, sell and use though.

Looking at some new wheels/tires and found this picture:

I have this exact same car/color, what do you guys think?

That would look awesome, those wheels are really nice. Also it might look good with a big brake kit installed behind them :D.

Yellow would look pretty good I think, but I'm weird and like the look of painted calipers.

Don't waste money on an 'upgraded' braking system unless you're having problems with the stock brakes. You'll get much better stopping out of just buying better tires. If you do anything to the brakes at all, just install braided stainless lines to give you a firmer pedal and better control. If you start messing with the popular "big brake kits" you are just as likely to increase your stopping distance as you are to reduce it. And you'll waste a lot of money doing it.

I like the suggested wheels a lot, Pako.

^ Ditto.

IMO, big brake kits are a worth-while investment only in tracked cars. I would try more aggressive pads and stickier tires before you throw away the factory calipers. Don't forget that those kits are going to be heavier than stock, thereby increasing unsprung weight.

And it's just my personal opinion that 95% of self-painted calipers end up looking lame.

The wheels look great. How much do they weigh?

M

Not too shabby for an 18" wheel. Can you fit 18x8 under there? An extra half inch of rim width means you can likely step up to a 245 series tire. Extra width is good in the 3 seasons that aren't winter.

Extremely well put. My logic is this: if you can lock of the wheels (or trigger the ABS) with your current brakes, you don't to upgrade them. Except the lines, which will lead to more linear pedal response and the likes.

Those wheels look good, and I know they will look good on the car. Should look brilliant on the car.

Well...thinking of selling it. It's just not as practical for my family. I may have to go SUV or worse yet, mini-van. I have <11,000 miles on it, any one have any idea what I should try to get out of it?

How about an Outback? Same car just with more room in it. Or going slightly bigger with a Forester. Do not get a mini-van, you want to have some sort of dignity left while driving around.

Dodge Magnum?

While they're still making them, I imagine most Dodge dealers are practically "giving them away" anyways...
