On no track does 10.5kg lead to 6 tenths. Trulli was fastest by atleast a few tenths even with the most optomistic of feul corrections.
But this is Jarno Tulli we're talking about. He might be Formula One's best one-lap specialist, but in the past he's been curiously quick-quick-slow. I have no idea why it may be, but the man can't seem to be able to convert practice and qualifying pace into race speed.

I think Kovalainen will beat both Ferrari's....and Alonso........and maybe 1 point.
I will be suprised if Trulli get on the podium.

Vettel, Glock and Button are likely to be on the podium, in which order is the question.

As much as I want the team I've been supporting since 2002 (1999 virtually) to finally win a GP, I have a feeling Vettel is going to be on the top spot on the podium today. Also, let's sit tight and hope Trulli won't be affected by his braking problems, I really don't want to see a Toyota losing all braking abilities after the start-finish line :ouch:

I am curious to see how the redbull manages tyre wear, I don't have any information to back this up, but I would imagine the Toyota will manage its tyres better than the RBR, I couldn't even begin to qualify that statement though.

I am not as confident RBR will win as i thought they would after Q2.

[edit] Acording to Ted, my hypothosis about the toyota being good with its tyres, was complete rubbish. :P

i dont know im thinking RBR is going to have a better race pace then toyota. but then again i think brawn will have the best race pace out of them all. so i think toyota is going to have alot of pressure on them and it should be interesting to see what there strategy is to hold off RBR and brawn.

by the way i could have sworn i herd on one of the announcers mention that brawn had the virgin galactic logo on it this race but i cant seem to find any pics showing it. anyone got one or was i just hearing things?

Belgian coverage had just a very nice piece of documentary on the Toyota team. Glock and Trulli and two awesome drivers with each thier own awesome charateristics. Glock especially liked Trulli because "I get to have free whine"

Interesting start from Hamilton.

Excellent overtake by Alonso.

1. Button
2. Vettel
3. Hamilton

That's my prediction. toyota went on hards way too soon as they are nowhere near as fast are as the soft tyres. There goes Toyotas maiden win :indiff:

Woah, that's wrong!

Turn 14 apex speed classification. Everyone was around 118 - 119 km/h except Kovalinen who was 250!!

1. Button
2. Trulli
3. Vettel

This should be the podium if nothing goes wrong for the mentioned drivers. Toyota definitly threw away the win by going on the hards already after the first stop.

Wow. Just wow.

Everyone else stayed on the track... :D

Unbelievably boring race...

At least we now have 3 points to show :-/

Good, I'm glad to see the race was boring, this is the first time I've watched at F1 race in forever and was bored to tears.

Raikkonen? Not really great, drove well. Button had a great race. Performance of a champion.

10th to 6th is good in the F1 world where overtaking is rare. Besides, he scored ferrari some points, something I expected Massa to do today.

You probably shouldn't have picked bahrain as your race of choice, track action is fairly uninspiring.

Its a great venue but it doesn't provide the most exciting racing.

Yesterday - They showed 5 minute compilations from each race from the 1994 season.. Some things definitely were better back then..

5 minute compilations are always more exciting, they skip all the boring bits. The aero changes haven't worked as well as planned, I hope they are even tighter for 2010.

That's why we have Monaco ;)

Well Monaco also has its processional tendencies, a bit of heavy rain a few laps in and then a rapidly drying track afterwards would make the race very interesting.

I think the key point to bahrain wasn't that the the brawn was the fastest, it was Button got past Hamilton and Vettel did not. Vettel was held up to his first stop, then that caused him to come out behind trulli who held him up on his second stint, then the last stint was on the slower tyres.

I didn't think it was that bad a race, the last 20 laps are never that great because strategies have worked out, etc. Would have been better if Toyota kept some vein of race pace.

I think it still is Brawn that is the fastest team qua race pace. As they said, Toyota and Red Bull have Brawn bagged in terms of one lap speeds, but when it comes to race pace, Brawn is still the team that is ahead of everyone else. Button definitly showed that, even if Vettel managed to pass Hamilton, I think he never would've threatened Button for the win. The Brawn car is just to formidable and stable, the onboard cam is a pleasure to watch when the car is a Brawn.

Also, noticed how the Brawn car outbrakes every other car on the grid? That pass over Hamilton really showed how good the brakes on the Brawn car are. AlsoX2: Sweet defending over Barrichello by Piquet with such a heavy car, but that's as far as his performance goes.
