Vettel is an absolute liability out there. I wouldn't want to be an F1 driver in front of him. No wonder he's lead so often - they let him get out there so he doesn't smash into them when "passing".

That said, I don't think his drive-through was merited - he switched to the outside line and was instantly a passenger in the collision. I did swear at him though. A lot.

Edit: Lewis, you lucky, lucky boy. That was a race-ender all ways up.

Wonder WTH the top guys are thinking staying out on slicks.

Stupid. Hamilton off!

Pitlane is a traffic jam!

Hamilton was absolutely lucky times 10! Almost wrecked it!

Kubica slid in on pit, cost him second. GO WEBBER!!

Regardless of who wins though, this is one hell of a race!!

Alonso is done!

Figures... my prediction for floating Ferraris has come true!

Nico versus Michael... Schumi gets a bloody nose.

Liuzzi and Algesuari having a fantastic battle around a backmarker .

New conspiracy theory. Team orders has Vettel take out Button so Webber can get back up behind Hamilton. Kubica in on it. Receiving a lifetime supply of Red Bull to have a little squiggle in the pits.

Too early to call it?

Hamilton dominates the race, deserved win, though he had his share of luck. So did Mark Webber, who overcame a horrible start to make second... Kubica drives a great drive into third.

Massa should be ecstatic with fourth... and Sutil in fifth will be pleased. Rosberg spanks Schumi for sixth. Kobayashi, Petrov and Algesuari round out the top ten.

Biggest losers: Alonso, who spun it. Button, who got taken out by Vettel... obviously jealous of his new pimpwagen... and Vettel, who suffered both a penalty and a puncture... poor boy.

EDIT: look at Lewis... jumping around on the podium... so damn smug... so cocky... so full of himself... we all know he doesn't deserve to win, right? Because he only qualified second? :dopey: [/sarcasm]

Hamilton wins. Webber has a strong second place finish, so I'm still happy.

Man, that was a FANTASTIC race!! Incredibly exciting!!

I'll be interested in hearing about the odd note on the exhaust of Hamilton.

Looks like it's now Lewis back on top in the champ standings.

Seems I'm not alone then after all. I was wondering what that sound was, and if the McLaren sounded like that before in the season. Probably some exhaust or engine modification, but it'll be interesting to see what it exactly is.

I noticed that only Hamilton's exhaust sounded that way. Button's car sounded normal.

Post race interview on now. Let's see if they say anything.

Didn't notice... blown diffuser issue?

Nar mate he doesn't deserve to win because he's been babysat and spoon fed by Mclaren his whole career :nervous:

You could say the same about Vettel and Red Bull, that's what young drivers programmes are for. Hamilton thoroughly deserved that win.

Yeah, Webber had a really bad start, but he surely didn't blow the race in my opinion. He bounced back for a strong second place. Hamilton probably would have gotten past Mark even if he didn't have that bad start, to be honest.

I admit Hamilton was flying today, but Webber still lost several places at the start. Well, better luck next time Mark! ;)

Yeah the McLaren was way to quick this weekend. RB's were well off it. I wonder if the drivers choose the gear ratio's or the engineers do? Even if Webber got close to Hamilton he wouldn't have been able to pass because they apparently chose the wrong ratio for 7th.

The sound wasn't there under acceleration, but only when Lewis de-accelerated into a corner. Then you could clearly hear a sound different to all other cars in the field. It's hard to explain what kind of sound it was, but it was as if the sound got rougher and as if the engine suddenly wasn't a V6 anymore. (If not something much larger)

Great race today, you gotta love this circuit eh??...

Whas hoping for a great battle after the last safetycar, but it seemed to be decided by than already...

Seb Vettel whas the looser today
Kubica for me the winner...although Hamilton whas close to perfect aswell..

spy.

Hmmm... maybe McLaren has added EGR to their engines? An exhaust by-pass? We may hear about it in technical articles over the next few weeks...

Nar mate he doesn't deserve to win because he's been babysat and spoon fed by Mclaren his whole career :nervous:

Pssst... don't forget the [sarcasm] tags... makes the joke easier to spot.

I think Webber lucked out after that bad start... but he drove a good race, nonetheless. It may be that RBR will have to put their support behind him for the championship... better a slightly slower driver who's more consistent than a prodigy who's prone to banging into things...

@SebVettel, grrr!!! You took out Jenson, only got a drive-thru and you took out Liuzzi! The stewards day is not complete....

Apart fromt that, hamilton deserved the race win

That's what I was going to say, Liuzzi turned into Vettel whilst he was still on the inside and he smashed his own front wing. That wasn't Vettel's fault at all.

The top three all made mistakes today and got away with them. Hamilton understeered off into the gravel, Webber blew the start and Kubica lost second place when he hit, literally, his pit box.

Still that's better that Vettel managed. I wonder who he's going to take out of a race next? Maybe Alonso or Hamilton, or perhaps he's trying for the entire field by the end of the season.

Good win by Hamilton. Very lucky when he was off though.

Alonso's string of bad luck just continues. The spin that ended his race was a pure driver error no question about it which is strange since that was something that he just didn't do prior to this season. But the collision with Rubens was just unbelievable bad luck.
