Didn't see everyone else on their last ditch lap failing to match their best lap from the start of the session? No? Carry on.

Maybe Hamilton made mistakes on his first lap. He probably could have got pole if he drove a better Q3 as he was easily the man to watch for Q1 and 2...

Certainly interesting that only the 2 McLarens improved on their seconds runs - whereas everyone else went slower... (of course we didn't see what Kubica could do as he didn't have a second run)

Altho I think the Williams might have improved a bit too - although they were out of phase because they had a longer run with Hards.

dann's comments had nothing to do with what I was trying to point out, nor did they have any relevance to the article - meaning they had no purpose to be brought up in the discussion to begin with.

Except the part where you then said the same thing in defence of your interpretation.

It is not hypocritical for a man who might have benefitted from team orders when they were legal to point out that a team issuing team orders when they are not legal have broken the rules.

My interpretation of Lauda's statement is

Exactly that. Your interpretation. You've presumed to know what an elderly German-speaking man thinks from some English words which say nothing of the sort.

You're just not looking deep enough at the meaning of the words used in his context - thus you feel the need to say that I'm trying to pass off my own "made up" interpretation of what Lauda meant, which really isn't true.

Let's revisit the part where you said daan hadn't read "Lauda's exact words" because he didn't ascribe to the interpretation you'd invented that wasn't contained in Lauda's exact words.

Again, that's because you're not looking deep enough at the vocabulary used in Lauda's statement, thus YOU have "concluded" wrong.

I haven't made any conclusion at all. You have. You've concluded that you know what an elderly German-speaking man thinks from some words in English that you cite the exactness of - then ignore.

Look up the word

Yay, dictionary troll.

Nowhere in Lauda's exact words did he say what Ferrari did was morally wrong. I can requote you saying both of those things as points to attack other members, if I thought you'd pay any attention.

Oh ok  Then you tell me what he passed judgment on...

Who's saying he passed judgement on anything? Only you, it appears.

What's this sudden correlation between dry races and processions? Last year's Grand Prix was a dry race and it sure as hell wasn't a procession.

Hurr. Heavy, but short squall "in 8 minutes"...

Edit: Catastrophic start from Webber...

Button improved as well. Somebody's been eating the Hamilton bologna. :dopey:

Funny... Who is leading the race, now? Can I get some cheese with that Ham?

@Reims, the track was rubbering up. Everyone was running faster and faster laps through P2 into the start of P3... then wham... Rain. Obviously, though, some people will always find reasons to criticize other people just because...

this is so f-ing crazy, SC??? WHY??? F1 is crap!

There was a safety car because there was a tractor on the circuit picking up a car. We don't care if you think F1 sucks.

Rain in 20 minutes so all teams will be ready, depends when it comes so if the leaders miss their first stop opportunity or not.

Petrov and Schumacher are charging up the grid! This is Hamilton's race I'll admit. I'm hoping The Red Bull's can minimize the damage. Vettel might overtake Button in a bit.

So? I should be banned 3rd time then? =)

Well, you're not exactly helping your case.

Damnit, I guess Vettel didnt expect Button to merge slightly back over to the inside line.

"OK Vettel. You're going to need to pit for tires, but go ahead and take Button out. Make it look like an accident!"

Oh man, that was exciting. Good thing Vettel got out of it and was able to cross over into the pits for a new front wing. I feel sorry for Button though.

Vettel handed a drive through penilty. Don't agree with that, it really was an accident.

Edit: You're the best, daan!!

Vettel should be in destruction derby. It'd be the only championship he'll win.

People keep saying it was vettel's fault on Liuzzi but I don't see how it was. Liuzzi turned into his rear tyre.

And newest member vindicates decision. Oh, and it was banned before it was even completed....

Nice username! Don't be surprised if he gives you trouble all day though. But I'm sure you already thought of that.

Vettel not having a very good race. Kubica is slowly reeling in Hamilton. Webber in a respectable third. I hope that improves, though.
