Like the pictures of the Premium Toyota 7 from last month, surely.

Goodbye.

It's the same guy?

i think it'd be pretty cool if they made a high downforce track version that could try to be the fastest American car around a track, too. i'd imagine that since it weight so little right now Hennessey would have a good base to start on.

They might have to cut down on power though.

Why? Just don't floor it until you're going fast enough to. This car will drive just like any other RWD car.

Saleen's S7 TT and S7 Competition may be faster anyway. I just wish those cars claims were actually tested.

That means that the power won't be used most of the time and sort of defeats the purpose of the power.

It doesn't need to be used most of the time. When it's needed, it's there, and with high downforce, you'll only make it more accessible (and necessary because of drag).

That's never happened.

Let's start with Pagani shall we? Tyres that come as with the Pagani Huayra are the Pirelli Corsa. Tyres fitted when it did the power lap were Trofeo's.

Or, he was a previously-banned member who was pretending to be much older than he is, and actually does place a lot of importance on the lap times of an entertainment show.

;)

Why dont the run the cars at the salt flats if room is such a problem?

The Venom GT was still gaining speed before it ran out of room. It could have gone faster. Bugatti has the luxury of the enormous test track. Its really unfair.

Because it's harder for tires to drip on the salt than on tarmac, so they wouldn't be able to reach the real top speed anyways.

Also, it is kinda fair. The fact that the Hennessy had half the amount of tarmac, was only 2-3 mph off and was still picking up speed tells me it's the faster car.

Sorry forgot the source, one thing that is bugging me is that they have to build 30 cars to enter the record books but they are planning to build only 29.

I doubt those claims as it seems like they took the speed as a new record from 1 run and not from a 2 way average like what the Veyron did.

I gather the speed is measured very accuratly, so you can't really doubt the claim of the speed, just a claim to an official record.

You have no idea how happy this makes me. Ever since I saw the video of the Venom GT hitting 265 MPH in 2 miles, I KNEW this would happen one day. Suck it, Bugatti!

Even though officially it's not the world record holder due to it not doing two runs both ways and also not due to the limited amount of venoms being built, it is however the unofficial fastest street legal car out there.

For how long though???
