Glad to see Nani putting in a decent performance. It's been a while since his last one.

Arsenal vs Bayern tonight. Bayern "should" steam role over them. Might be a good game if they slip up and let Arsenal score early though.

There is a Champions League thread ^

..good performance last night, we havent got a match in midweek so we got QPR saturday then Real Madrid tuesday....or is it wednesday??

Not quite correct.

QPR on Saturday, then Norwich the next Saturday and after that match, it's Real Madrid on a Tuesday, 5th of March.

Our match against Real Madrid is on the 5th of March. On the 2nd of March, we play Norwich at home in the EPL and also on that day, it's El Classico aka Real Madrid v Barcelona.

You could say. The thing is, Real will be more tired than usual going into the game with United.

Mourinho might rest players against Barca as they are so far behind and they have more of a chance of winning the CL than the league...thats what i would do anyway!

Yeah good point but Real are 3rd in the league right now and only the top 3 get auto qualification for the champions league so they'll be desperate to hang on to that 3rd spot.

Mourinho won't rest players against Barca, even if they don't have much to fight for in the league(they have no trouble getting 3rd) they will want to win that, as it's Barcelona. They will still be after 2nd in the league as well because no team wants to finish behind their "lesser rivals"

Player tiredness is way to stressed in modern-day football I feel, if the players are too tired to play 2 games in 4 days(sometimes 3 for Europa League teams), they can just train a bit less. 2 games each week from February to May can be awful though.

Oh, and Mourinho will be out even if he wins the Champions League IMO.

Lyon-Spurs on Thursday, how many free-kicks will Bale score? :sly:

Whoops, this is the wrong thread.:dunce:

Fergie once said in an interview that when United get to the latter stages of the season they dont train as much between games as they do at pre-season or the start of the new season, this is because a big club like United are usually still involved in two or three competitions at that stage (like we are now) and are playing big game after big game, so the players need to conserve their energy for those games..and because of that their training is less intense...

No Rooney or Jones for QPR v United at the weekend..Rooneys got a sinus infection, i dont know what up with Jones exactly but i know hes out because of the challenge against Reading which saw him subbed early..

So im going back home tomorrow to see the family before a bunch of us go to Wembley on sunday..

...and i know that three posts in a row!

Day inbetween. I see no problem. :)

Go on you Bradford. Got £15 riding on them winning. £142 back.

Matchday!

Warming up with Fulham - Stoke, before QPR plays United.

I think SAF will be going strongly for the 3 points, but might be resting a few players.

WHAT A GOAL FROM RAFAEL! AMAZING SHOT! A ROCKET!

2-0! RYAN GIGGS! Good finish from Giggs, and sweet timing on the pass from Nani!

Wow, I was in town when we were playing but I was listening to the talksport commentary and they said Rafael's goal was amazing. MoTD is a must see for me tonight then.

Got some good matches today, City and Chelsea, Newcastle and Sunderland, not to mention the Cup Final and Tottenham-Hammers tomorrow.

Well that's my day then, Chelsea v City and then the cup final. Come on you Bantams! Sorry MUSC but I'm supporting the underdogs here.

And interesting fact that I found out yesterday is that Bradford were 10000/1 to win the cup. No idea what it is now though.

If only I had a time machine. Put 250 on them to win.
