Even if Alonso and Vettel go for a one-stopper, they will not have enough tire at the end of the race to prevent an overtake.

Remember... that McLaren is much faster than either of the two under DRS.

It could be costly for both of them. They might go from 1st and 2nd to 10th.

I'm calling a strategic mistake for both Alonso and Vettel. They should've been called in as soon as Hamilton's mishap took place. Hamilton is over a second faster per lap, will easily catch both of them in a few laps and will be able to pass them without much trouble considering his tyre advantage.

I don't think they would've had Hamilton either way. Massa pits...bad sign for Alonso?

Not really... fourth and fifth at worst.

What if their tires go entirely off?

The Alonso Vettel gamble only works if neither pits... if one of them pits, the other will be overtaken by Hamilton. If they both stay out, Hamilton will have to get around both. Neither wants to be the one who blinks.

Hamilton lost nearly 1.5 seconds with that mistake. Not to mention Alonso was catching Hamilton on his in-lap.

Alonso's are gone. Vettel still has some left. Grosjean is too far away to catch them... maybe. But Hamilton will likely take them both. Vettel may want to let Hammy past so he can take out Alonso... because Vettel will DEFINITELY lose that place... and if Alonso doesn't, Alonso extends his lead... if both fall to Lewis, better for Vettel.

Goodbye tires... Alonso and Vettel down to the 1:19s. Grosjean might just overtake one or both...
