2012 Nissan GTR [0-60: under 3 seconds]

Hope GT6 will include the Nismo edition. They already skipped out on the R34 Z-tune back then..

They did? Funny, If memory serves the Gran Turismo Pacecar had exactly same bodykit, hood and specs as the Z-tune R34..

It was different. The bonnet/hood was the same but that was about it.

The R34 Z-tune has vents on the front wing body panels (near the beginning of the door A-pillars), it also has slight over-fenders on the rear arches, as well as a revised front bumper vents.

I knew we should have plenty on GTPlanet that knows the GTR :) I do not believe the specs are the same either. The Z-tune was rated at 500hp to mimic the specs GT500 race car. The pace car came with stock R34 power in the game @ ~340+hp. The Gran Turismo livery R34 came with 542hp which is more than the Z-tune. But at the end of the day, both are NOT the Z-tune which was a limited production run of 20 and only came in silver. If anything, the Falken R34 race car has the closest spec rated at 509hp which is loosely based on the GT race car.

The R34 in game with the pace car livery has just over 500 bhp, like the Z-tune. The redline is also the same at 8000 rpm, unlike the usual V spec 8500. It has a close to identical front bumper (the vents near the wheel are a bit more square on the one in-game) and identical hood/bonnet. It has identical rims. If you're only argument is a missing vent underneath the A pillar and the car not being painted silver then you're barking. :dopey:

Just to clarify and strengthen the difference, the Z tune has 9000rpm redline on its 2.8L engine similar to the Nismo 400R and R33 GTR-LM road going version.

Not trying to instigate anything, but it should be clarified so people don't think and claim the cars are the same. Close to identical is still a different bumper and fender. Here is another picture of the Autoart replica of the GT livery R34 showing the S/R-tune kit which was modeled after the game.

Anyway, without hijacking this thread and back to my original point, my best argument is that I hope they will put the Nismo R35 in GT6(hope creators are listening). :)

I'm hoping Nissan doesn't go this route and do this to the GTR. Nissans new headlight and taillight direction looks good on the 370Z, somewhat decent on the Altima and nothing else, well at least to me anyway.

I dont pay much attention to random artist renders but the front and sides arnt too bad.. the sharper sleeker hood and grill look pretty good... the rear just isnt a GTR as the round taillights are a must

but im sticking the R35 for a while as ive got a 2015 NISMO ordered

From the Ohio based tuners ... Switzer Performance, comes the Tsar of the GTR's. A new top world speed for the Nissan GTR has been laid down.

Tuned to the note of 1800 hp, this GTR ran the mile in just 22.602 seconds and a speed of 250 mph in the process. Pretty good for a 4K street car with all the amenities.

At least it didn't explode like that 2,005hp UGR Gallardo at that speed.

Anyone have any idea what Nissan's big launch is? Their Facebook page says they are going to post all things GT-R. From vintage race cars to current cars until the surprise launch.

Oh, and that render looks more like the next Ferrari California in the greenhouse and front.

Most likely the Nismo GT-R that's been talked about for a while now.

yes its the nismo at Tokyo Motor Show in 3 weeks. the regular 2015 is just getting new LED headlights/taillights a new color and suspension changes

So no newly revised 7 speed GR6?

doesnt look like it.. HP looks to be very close or even the exact same aswell

confirmed changes...

For the 2015 GT-R, this tradition continues with dramatic improvements in
ride quality and refinement without sacrificing performance. Ride quality is
dramatically improved due to revised suspension tuning while road noise is
significantly reduced through additional isolation materials and the addition of
BOSE Active Noise Control. Other changes include new 4-LED head lamps,
new high-intensity rear LED combination lamps and new exterior and interior
colors.

all will be revealed Nov 19th

Bummer. I could see the tuners using the first gear for faster 0-60 times, while using the last 6 for general driving/track use

Ah! Nice! Finally, noise cancellation. Hope the red on the GT-R that was promoted in the Bolt advertisement becomes a available color. Also the bronze color rims.

MCNAGTROC, do you have any idea who Kinishi Tanuma is? I've read that he is the new chief engineer for the R36 GT-R. Trying to find some of his accomplishments for time he's been working for Nissan. Trying to make sure he can do the same job that Sakurai, Watanabe, Ito, and Mizuno have done for the GT-R brand. I want the same development philosophy of the previous GT-R models converged to the R36's development cycle.
