I stand corrected on that, but I still feel it deserved more recognition and deserves more recognition every year. A minute's silence, especially as today is the date, wouldn't have hurt.

First off, hats off to Man City on winning the title, we gave them a run for there money and took it to the final day, but they got the job done in the end, so congrats to them. 👍

For ourselves, it's been a fantastic season and everyone can be proud and hold there heads held high after this season. It's been a joy to watch us play attacking football and bang in goals for fun, but bloody hell there has been tense times and pulling the hair out of the head moments aswell.

We are a club still progressing and will continue to improve, and this seasons experiences will help us down the line. I'm sure just missing out on the title will make our players hungrier, and determined to go that one step higher and win the title.

It's great to be back in the CL aswell, it's where we belong and can't wait to see where we stack up against Europe's best teams. We definitely need to get quality players this summer, and I'm fully confident that we will sign quality players, we need to continue to improve if we want to stay inside the top four and win the title.

 To our players and Brendan Rodgers, thanks for the memories this season and we go again next season. :)

Lets see how we all faired in the predictions then:

The title could be between any 3 teams really: Manchester United, Chelski and Manchester City. Here are some predictions for everyone to laugh at when I inevitably get them wrong:

1st: Chelsea
2nd: Man City
3: Man Utd
4th: Arsenal
5th: Spurs
.
.
.
18th: Hull
19th: Norwich
20th: Stoke

Next season's league table.

1. Chelsea
2. Man City
3. Man United
4. Spurs/Liverpool :sly:
5. Liverpool/Spurs
6. Arsenal

I'll give my predictions.

1st - Chelsea (Best ATT Mid in the League with Mourinho. Good luck to the rest)
2nd - Arsenal
3rd - Tottenham/Man City (Only if Bale stayes)
4th - United
5th - Liverpool, Tottenham, Man City (If Bale Leaves then Tottenham will be here. If he doesn't, then City will be here. Liverpool is tough. I think Sturridge has it in him to score big goals like Suarez when Suarez will inevitably leave)

Why is this?

My predictions

1st Chelsea
2nd Man United
3rd Arsenal
4thLiverpool (call me crazy)
5th Man City
6th Spurs (if Bale leaves)

18th Hull
19th Stoke
20th Palace

Can I just say that I predicted Arsenal's position correctly and I was also the only one that correctly predicted that Norwich would go down :D

I'm a bit gutted that we didn't win in the end, but what an amazing season. From seventh to second in one year speaks very positively toward out chances of silverware in upcoming seasons.

Now for transfer season and, of course, the World Cup.:D

EDIT
1. City
2. Chelsea
3. Spurs
4. Arsenal/United/Liverpool*

18. Stoke
19. Hull
20. Palace

*Only if we sign a class winger and Suarez plays at full force.
Here were my predictions. At least I got the top slot right.:indiff:

United are off the mark already in terms of tranfers, they have reportedly placed a bid of £27.5m for Luke Shaw.

I can't believe i predicted Manchester United to finish second! The hell was i thinking?!

I'll just reply with this. :P

Ooh no, come on. We can't become Liverpool and just talk about our history. No matter how recent.

But yes, congrats to Man City. Sure Liverpool and Chelsea might have beaten them in this season. But it's not a 3-team league. It's a 20-team league and you have to beat the other 17 to win. Needless to say, Liverpool and Chelsea struggled with that at the end. Man City really didn't.

No one really could have predicted this table, at all. I mean special credit to Palace, my closest team and Tony Pulis for all he managed to do with a team that was total cannon fodder to begin with.

Oh, and yes. United. Somewhat of a write-off, this season. Everyone did something wrong at the club at one point, it seemed. In the summer, there should be absolutely no scrimping on selling the dead weights at the club (Cleverley might be a difficult sell), and we should, realistically, still be able to pull good quality players to the club regardless of no Europe. I mean, when Liverpool were this low they still managed to get ahold of several players and a number of them have contributed to this season of theirs. Only we should be able to bounce back quicker with a new manager.

Winning 2nd place in the SPL is as good as winning the league, given the gap to Celtic...

Also, Hibs face a play-off to stay in the SPL... given their supporters recent behaviour and attitude to Hearts financial problems, I would be absolutely delighted if Hibs were relegated - they deserve it.

Liverpool have apparently made a bid for Adam Lallana... I didn't know they were in for him, but he would certainly be a good signing for anyone. Man Utd have made a £27m bid for Luke Shaw... not sure about that to be honest, he's a good player but £27m seems way too high a price. Or maybe I'm just behind the times.

Still can't quite believe that City won it. I'm sure it'll sink in at some point but I doubt I'll ever get used to winning things.

Really happy we won it and beat three great teams in what was a cracking season.

Now... I don't really care all that much about the Premier League so I don't watch all that much of it. I'm not really that bothered about England.

With that in mind, who in the greasy love tunnel is "Luke Shaw" and why is he worth TWENTY SEVEN MILLION POUNDS of anyone's money?

I'd wait a few years to see if he develops as well as we all think he will, then he may be worth up to 25mil but, 27 is a bit excessive.

Also, who's signing him? United don't have a manager...

Really hope Celtic get into the CL(Keeping Van Dijk is key) and we get Liverpool in the group stages. Imagine the atmosphere at both games,

And given that Motherwell's chief executive has just left to go to Hibs, we would find it quite humorous too.

That does not stop most clubs, even at the ones with managers it seems the managers get very little say in who actually signs for their club and yet still they get blamed for everything that goes wrong. They even get the blame for wasting the money on the useless player they didn't want in the first place, hardly fair really.

We've been looking at him for abit now, this will be a quality signing for us if we do sign him. Chances are high that we will, think he wants to move on and wants to play for us. :)

Shaw is a good player but I would say he's about £15 million tops. Now way £27 million. I guess @NINE_HUNDRED is bang on the money though. Being English pushes the price up massively. Even more so with Greg Dyke trying to focus more on the grassroots level.

Hasn't been mentioned, but Real Madrid cannot win La Liga after yesterdays defeat to Celta Vigo. Straight shootout between Atletico Madrid and Barca, who meet eachother on the final day. 👍

Pepe Mel gets sacked as West Brom manager, won just three of his seventeen games with just twenty goals scored, no surprise he has gone, another manager gone is Oscar Garcia from Brighton who accepted his resignation after being thumped by Derby in the playoff semi last night..

Wait, so he got the team to the playoffs and yet still gets sacked?

That's ridiculous.

Didn't get sacked, think he wanted to resign and the club accepted.

Probably feels he let down the club by losing in the manner they did in the play offs. Takes alot of bottle to do that, still reaching the play offs is no easy feat and they possibly could have come again next season.

They just grabbed the final playoff place on the Final Day last week too....and they were up against a Derby team that have been flying for much of the season..

He probably took the job on the agreement he'd resign if they didn't go up or something, seems a bit of a strange one otherwise, as it's not as if anyone expected them to win the playoffs or to have any sort of chance against Derby.

The Mel sacking on the other hand was always coming, especially when he's done worse than the guy he replaced. It wasn't all his fault mind.

Liverpool have made a bid for Lallana, I'm not sure how much for though.

Southampton are probably going to rake in the money this summer.
