I'm hoping Norwich saying bye-bye might make Hooper come back to Celtic, I would really like to see how many goals Commons and Hooper would get together.

Liverpool have made a bid for Lallana, I'm not sure how much for though.

Southampton are probably going to rake in the money this summer.
I kind of hope they resist all bids and develop their squad more. They will sell Osvaldo(pretty much guaranteed) and I'd say Gaston Ramirez will leave them too, them two players leaving will generate significant funds to push on. I want to see what a promising team could do without selling all their players.

Same here. But take Lallana for example, how could he resist the move to Liverpool considering the season they have just had? If they have indeed made a bid.
But then the possibility of him playing alongside Gerrard and Sterling, combined with Sturridge and Suarez is mouthwatering.

Rodgers, Pellegrini and Martinez should all have won manager of the season in front of Tony Pulis.

I believe we have made a 20m bid or somewhere round that figure for him.

Southampton will rake in cash this window then be in relegation battle and panic buy next window, yet still get relegated.

Well if that's the case with the Brighton manager then it's a completely different story. Takes balls to walk away after that sort of season.

I believe there is two manager of the year awards they give out. Brendan Rodgers has just won the LMA Manager of the Year, congrats to him. :)

If we would have won the league, Rodgers would have deserved it. In my opinion, Pellegrini doesn't deserve it because he inherited a title winning squad, and finished where he was expected to. Martinez did very well with Everton, but didn't really achieve all that much in the end.

Pulis, on the other hand, took over when Palace were sitting on just 3 points from 8 games. He took them from nearly guaranteed relegation to 11th place with a fairly weak side, stealing points off of a fair few top sides along the way.

Sydney FC have confirmed that they won't be lobbying for Rio Ferdinand. Which is odd, because their usual way of doing things is to a) throw all of the money at a problem until it fixes itself, then b) fire whoever this year's manager is when it doesn't work, before c) rinse, lather and repeat. Having lost del Piero and lacking star power in their line-up, Ferdinand is right up their alley.

Sounds like most clubs in England to me. In the premiership the three relegated teams all spent big money on a striker who scored basically no goals, some didn't even really play any games, they all had multiple managers and no doubt will still do the same next year in an attempt to get promoted.

This is because the owners of football clubs these days are the guys who have more money than they know what to do with so they buy a football club and expect instant success and more often than not they don't have a clue how to run a football club.

Pulis took a team that should have easily gone down to mid table safety and quite comfortably too, he definitely deserves manager of the season. If Liverpool had won the league then maybe they'd be an argument for someone else but as it is, there isn't for me.

Sydney get some success - they're one of the biggest teams in the A-League - but I think they simply don't realise that the best teams are more than the sum of their parts. The Western Sydney Wanderers is made up of players who might not be the League's best player in their individual positions, but they were selected to fit Tony Popovic's philosophy, and as a result, they work incredibly well together. But Sydney FC put the cart before the horse, buying up the best players and then drafting a manager in to turn raw talent into results.

Don't worry guys, Pulis has won one of the manager of the year awards aswell, so congrats to him. Would have been harsh if he didn't win atleast one of them. 👍

Tony Pulis wins Manager Of The Year? Oh how thrilled I am! Honestly, it's great to see some genuine recognition for a jo well done.

Tim Sherwood gets the sack despite the fact he had the highest win percentage of any Spurs boss in the Premier League with 59%....I think Levy might regret that!

Good to see Brendan and Tony getting appreciation from their peers :)

Decent win percentage maybe, but Spurs got completely mullered on a number of occasions by teams above them in the league. Plus he was a bit of a liability in front of the cameras and generally looked out of his depth. No surprise to me and I think Levy would have sacked him earlier but didn't want 3 managers in one season!

Levy is the liability in that organisation

Pochettino is the overwhelming bookies favourite to get the job, whilst Sherwood is favourite to get the Brighton job...

Who would you like to be your manager ?
Pochettino.

Didn't like Sherwood after seeing how little he is willing to change the line-up.

And Bentaleb-Siggurdsson CM partnership in a 4-4-2 wouldn't work against Fulham, never mind Liverpool.

I see, me personally I think you should go for Moyes ? :sly:

EDIT: No Nasri in France squad.

Ferdinand to leave United. Good, he's been poison this year.

Spurs: Benitez
West Brom: Mackay

Yeah, but he jumped out of a dressing room window and ran off before anyone could find out exactly what poison.

Ancelotti at 20/1?!?!?!

"To the people of Madrid, I am sorry, I no longer wish to work with the likes of Ronaldo and Bale, my real dream has been to coach Kyle Walker and Harry Kane".
He was linked with the United job somewhat, don't make me bring up Cleverly and Fellaini....
