This silly season seems to be another "almost a big signing" season.

If both Fabregas and Bale joins though, I won't ever complain again. :P

United just lost their 3rd pre season match 3-2 to Yokohama. I only caught the second half but we were poor.

Damn things are really rough there! I follow the Premier League almost every match (6 per weekend) here in Portugal and I really hope for Man Utd to get back on top (I'm bit of a Red Devil on the inside:P, I'm supporter of the Red Devils of Portugal)

I wouldn't read too much into these results - I expect that Man Utd will face stiffer competition in the EPL next season anyway, but they were still the best team last season by some distance, despite not always performing at their peak. It will take time for Moyes to impose his style of play and to shape his own squad - Sir Alex was keen to stress this when he stepped down, and fully expects the board and the fans to back Moyes even if his first season (or even first few seasons) are not as glorious as those that the typical Man Utd fan has come to expect... Sir Alex was afforded alot of leeway and look what happened... sadly, nowadays, great managers are not always given the time they need to show what they can do. Indeed, clubs like Chelsea, Real Madrid and Man Utd are happy to throw away great managers even when they succeed and bring success very quickly... such is the fickle nature of supporters and the unrealistic demands of the guys with the money.

Im feeling very indifferent at the way things are going at United, on and off the pitch :indiff:

Forgot to mention that I go on holiday for 4 weeks early tomorrow and probably won't have internet.

No! No! No!

Suarez now wants talks with Arsenal over their 40m pound bid. Why on earth does Wenger want to spend 40m pounds on such a dirtybag :banghead:.

I am hoping upon hope that it is an rouse to get Higuain, but if they do end up signing Suarez, I would really have to have to question whether I would (fruitlessly) stop cheering the club I have been a supporter of for 2 decades. Such is my loathing of him.

Uhhh, Vertonghen got injured in Spurs game this morning, they were playing in a swamp.:grumpy:

Also, loads of people giving out about Spurs performance even though it was a friendly.

Correction, £40 million and 1 :D

Anyway, I don't think Suarez should be allowed to play again given his history.

Because he is a great striker, a thing Arsenal doesn't have.
Yes, Suarez has bad temper and his attitudes are beyond belif.

Liverpool has two different teams. The one with Suarez which can score some goals and play better and ther's the one without Suarez which is a weak, loser team (no offense, but Liverpool isn't as vigours as it was in the past).

Instead of criticizing the man enjoy him play and score a lot of goals because he is good for what he does, imo he is one of the best strikers out there

Suarez is one of the best strikers in the game at the moment, but he's proven himself to be a major liability as well. Liverpool would be mad not to sell him before he gets a permanent ban from English football, which I reckon is a distinct possibility. Not much good in having one of the best strikers in the game on your books when he is not allowed to play because he likes the taste of human flesh.

I agree with that his mind isn't sane and he is probably going to be banned from English football but I'll keep saying he is a wonderful player left aside his temper

So as Akmuq touched on, the Barclays Asia trophy started today, it was delayed due to torrential rain and the first match between Spurs and Sunderland was reduced to an 80 min match, Sunderland won 3-1 and Vertongen did pick up a nasty looking ankle injury which will be a big blow for them if he is out for the start of the season..

...Man City beat South China 1-0 in the other game, Dzeko got the goal and the now face Sunderland in the final Saturday, because of the weather the pitch was atrocious!

Ronaldinho is now even greater, he just won the Copa Libertadores so now he is one more of a really small group of players that have won UCL and CopaLibertadores.

Agree, though having seen the game, I would say he didn't play exactly a huge part in the victory. His set-pieces aren't as accurate as before.

You are right, in both final games his level was lower than expected but in the previous games he was really important, without him i really doubt that mineiro would have reach quarterfinals.

Olimpia was a better team IMO.

And Olimpia was a better team, at least in the first game, 2-0. Haven't seen the second game but if Mineiro won, I have to see it.

I don't appreciate much south americam footbal, although I see some of the great classics in Brazil. And Mineiro is the best team there, at least for now

Well, he was pictured in the paper on Monday at a casino gambling, which is forbidden in his religion.....

Good day to be a Spurs fan today with Vertonghen's injury not as bad as first feared and Bale in talks for a new contract...

...but its been a pretty dismal week for Man United, a defeat and a draw on tour, a crap away kit launched and still no new top class signing :indiff:

Crap away kit? Maybe the shorts are a tad boring, but the shirt is really nice.

I think it looks awesome! :D:tup:

This year i'm getting both home and away kits... :P

No come on! Black and Navy checked stripes, someone need to tell Nike to step away from the Tartan!

Comfortable 3-0 win for Swansea over Reading which I think was our last pre-season game...

its a bit quiet in here lately hasn't it? new season is only about two weeks away and the football league new season starts this weekend...

Gervinho seems to be on his way to Roma, as long as they can open up a slot on the roster for him.
