Anyway Swansea play their first competitive game of the season tonight, And its a big one as we play Malmo at home in the Europa League second qualifying round...its our first game in Europe since god knows when!

Cardiff offered quite a bit of money over what he's worth but if they can turn down 85 million for Bale you think they'd turn down that. They already lack depth and now they've just sold one of their best depth players, strange.
I have a team although I keep changing players, I do that every year and it usually ends up costing me my wild card within the first five weeks too.
No doubt someone will make a league on here eventually but no one really wants to run it, it seems, so it's usually left pretty late and then someone steps up. 👍On non contract terms, although he does have a squad number he won't play any first team games, it's just a publicity stunt.

So the Championship, League one and two new season start this weekend and so does the new season of Scottish football (league one starts tonight in fact with Sheff Utd v Notts County on sky), the Community shield between Man United and Wigan is next week and The Premier League starts again in two weeks...

The new season of Championship and lower league football started, and Wigan thumped Barnsley 4-0 away from home with Holt scoring on his debut, Reading beat Ipswich 2-1 and QPR (with Joey Barton) beat Sheff Wed 2-1

Finished 2-2, could say both arsenals goals were lucky. 1st took a deflection off of Sagna, second was a lucky rebounce from the goalie.

Im still in two minds about it, he is a fantastic player and if he wants to stay then brilliant, but he feels he wants a new challenge which is understandable as he has won everything apart from the FA Cup at United (although you could say that breaking Charlton's record is a challenge), so if he wants to leave he should just put in a transfer request (he still hasn't!) don't forget not only do we get £30 million plus for him we also get £250k off the wage bill...

All true but Chelsea would then be stronger and Man U weaker, hence why he hasn't been sold yet. It's the same as the Suarez situation, no one wants to sell to a direct competitor, so unless they pay way over the odds it's not going to happen. So we'll have lots more days of rumours until one side gives in or someone else makes an offer.

I hope Arsenal or anyone else renews their interest in Rooney. The concept of having Rooney and Torres up front next seasom is about as scary as it gets.
