Also, as has been reported today, Luis Suarez did have a buy-out clause in his contract which John Henry just flat out decided to ignore and he refused to sell him.

Unless there is something I am missing, this is a breach of contract in some way? Or are we just ignoring the fact that contracts are legally binding?

If Suarez had taken him to court, Suarez would have won easily, he didn't.

I heard about that, it does seem strange though the he would publicly announce this, as he could get into a lot of trouble

True, Suarez didn't take him to court almost certainly because he did want to stay at Liverpool with an increase in salary but surely it is the principle? You cannot disregard contracts like that regardless whether the situation was favourable or not.

FA have charged Charlie Adam with violent conduct after the incident with Giroud, Adam barely touched him!!

I understand the frustration that might have caused Adam to do what he did as Giroud was falling over constantly stopping play, but that doesn't make it right to intentionally stamp on someone (although it was far from a serious incident).

Well I think its a bit harsh..

...anyway I want to talk about the Football on at the weekend, because its the FA Cup quarter-finals PLUS there are five League games on including Chelsea v Tottenham, West Brom v Man United and Fulham v Cardiff, which is a massive game at the bottom, going to be a great weekend of football!

He stomped on his leg after a challenge, should have been sent off.

Tottaly agree with you there, the way I see it, it's either complacency by Suarez's agent and Arsenal or Liverpool conned Arsenal.

Brilliant! It's only when someone points it out does it become obviousy but... Pardew and Skinner. Yes!

Y'know a couple of weeks ago there were rumours that WWE owner Vince McMahon was interested in buying Newcastle, they were only rumours of course but I think he would be very interested now if he saw what Pardew did!

With Toni Kroos' new contract with Bayern on hold, it might be time to hope for a summer transfer.

Rumors have it that Bayern in closing in on Gundogan as a replacement for Kroos.

Hopefully this summers transfer window will net some good results.

Apparently Moyes did met up with Kroos's agent a little while ago whilst on one of the many scouting missions he has been on since he got the job, when we had a free weekend last weekend he was in Germany watching a defender who's surname ive forgotten Martin something...he's an German u20 international...

Apparently Real Madrid and Barca are interested in him. Afraid Man United don't have a chance at getting him if Los Glances and Barca are seriously interested.

Would be a bad idea for Bayern to sell him really. Lahm and Schweinsteiger won't be able to play at top level much longer. Gundog an and Kroos partnership in holding midfield would be absolutely deadly.

Of course R. Madrid and Barca are interested... Is there anyone at this level they are not interested in? (At least in the papers).

But I can't see any of the La Liga clubs need for a centre/attacking midfielder. United desperately need one like Kroos. Or Gundogan.

@MUSC4EVER
You mean Matthias Ginter?

Ginter is a good talent, but I don't think he has the level required, yet. Of course anything is better than todays defence at Old Trafford, but I think that both Evans and Jones (when not injured) have more quality, at least at the moment.

If Ginter continues his progress though, he can be a very good defender in the upcoming decade or so.

Toni Kroos?

Not another CAM Moyes. That is literally the last thing you need.

International Friendlies tonight and there's a few televised, England v Denmark is on ITV, Ireland v Serbia and Wales v Iceland are both on Sky with Spain v Italy, BT have got South Africa v Brazil on now with Germany v Chile later plus they have England U21 v Wales U21 in a qualifier...so there's plenty on tonight!

Aye right. And the only place you can watch the Scotland game is on the Daily Record website :grumpy:

Furthermore, the England game is on ITV... but not STV. That means the only place you can watch the England game in Scotland is on the ITV website. :grumpy:

Spain v Italy should be worth watching on Sky... but I only have Sky on the web via Sky Go.

My laptop is going to have a stroke.

I read the Daily Mirror and they have been advertising that people can watch the Scotland game on their website..

If you do watch the Spain-Italy game it kicks off later than the others at just after nine on SS1

Yeh, it's the same paper basically.

👍 There will be some overlap though - from 9 pm all three games will be on at the same time.

That said, if anyone is still watching Poland v Scotland by that point, then I'll be amazed.

Bale Could Play 90 Minutes

Jesus, yellow journalism or not how much cotton wool does he need? Get him playing and we'll do alright. I always feel that Wales are one defeat away from the start of a horrendous run of results and given our Euro Group, in which there is every chance of qualification, tonight is a good time to start performing and making yourself count.

So, Arsenal host Everton early on Saturday afternoon in the F.A Cup Quarter Final. I really, really want us to win this one as for me the F.A Cup is the only competition I believe we can win this year. The Premier League collapse looks on the cards again and bar a miracle, a successful CL campaign looks to be a pipedream.

Everton have been tough opponents for many this year, including us when they held us to a 1-1 draw in December. Martinez is doing a great job for Everton this year and a victory for them is very much a possibility, and you can bet he will pull out all of the stops to progress to the Semi-final.
Everything regarding Arsenal must be spot-on. The manager has to set the team up just right and the players must be fired up, yet in the zone, for this game is now the most important in our campaign to end the 8 year trophy drought. We can't afford any slip-ups or tactical negligence of which we have seen too much. We also cannot squander any chances we may get.

To many, this game may not look special at all. To an Arsenal fan, this means the world. This is now the game that decides whether we want to move onwards and upwards from the last 8 years, or whether we just celebrate capturing 4th place in May. Again. A loss this weekend, then for me this season is just like the last few, which is now getting tiring.

Interesting rumor regarding a swap between Robin van Persie and some cash for Radamel Falcao...

Anyway, its Tuttosport, so it's just rumors.

And regarding Vidic, i'm glad that is over with.
He is a legend in United, will always be... But this season he has been crap.

Very bad news for Arsenal, Wilshire is out for 6 weeks with a fractured ankle which he suffered in the England game....and Arsenal have some massive games to come in the next few weeks so that's a big blow for them, he didn't get subbed straight away did he?, why didn't they just take him off right away?

Also the England game was rubbish, but happy with the Wales result and performance, it was very positive 👍
