I think Tony has moved on from the 500. If this had come along 10, 5, maybe even 3 years ago, he would of said "Yes!".
Or maybe it's Chevy being stingy at the idea of one of their flagship drivers driving a Honda for a guy who fields a Ford in Cup.

Penske is Chevy in Indycar.

Myth busted.

Oh........ I might of gotten him confused with CGR or Andretti or whatever....... I really don't care for IRL outside of the 500.

I am nostalgic, so I've missed the rainbow colors of the #24 Chevy. However, I have always loved the gorgeous crimson or cherry red colors of the Drive to End Hunger Chevy. Beautiful car.

I agree. As stunning as I find Gordon's new car I miss the old dupont scheme. Especially the blue and orange flames. I always thought that was the nicest paint scheme. Was never a fan of that scheme when they changed the colours around to black and yellow flames.

It's funny how we all have a certain Gordon car that stands out! He will always be rainbow warrior to me in that scheme, it's weird how bright it used to be and now how dark they are.

It's a good thing I don't design my own cars if I raced! I'd have some bright colors but I don't think many can top either Danica last year or Menard's (which I like).

Menard's car is probably the only car that looks different on various camera views. On the onboard cameras, the car shows up fluorescent green, but on the normal TV shots and everywhere else it's shown, it's yellow.

Only other Jeff Gordon car I've ever liked was the blue Pepsi-colored Chevrolet I remember him racing as a special car back in the early 2000s or so. You know you've drawn my eye if you go blue. But I think maybe for one race or so, make a modern rainbow DuPont Chevy. Hell- I even still think of today's Jeff Gordon as a scrappy bloke in his mid-late 20s that knows how to win some races! I still want him to win another championship. Maybe even join the company of seven-time Cup champions. When he becomes Hall of Fame eligible, you'd be a knucklehead not to vote him in on the first ballot (at least to me).

Still- the cherry red AARP Drive to End Hunger car is a gorgeous machine.

I agree with him just still being the new kid! I found a flag of his I had from his rookie year in a box the other day. If I had to put a face on NASCAR and I'm sure I will get crap for this statement, Jeff would be it. He has raced with legends, totally different eras and yet still is just one of the ones I think about. Dale never was someone I pulled for or even followed but respected. It was Gordon for the longest time til I stopped following for few years.

Very interesting viewing.

This is why I have actually become a fan this year. He has issues but he is human! I felt the media blew alot of it out of the water or turned it to look worse. I won't say he didn't act like ass but so do a number of drivers.

I watched that a couple of weeks ago, and I agree that it was very good. But, of course, you still have to remember that while the media's slant on Busch is hardly neutral, neither is the documentary. I think the most egregious instance where it tells a one-sided story is the Ryan Newman incident at Darlington (22:33-25:22). Nonetheless, it's refreshing to hear Kurt's side of his racing career without the usual distortions.

The whole Busch/Newman thing was way overplayed even right then. I think Newman's crew just got their panties in a bunch when every week same close calls are made.

STORMTROOPER HAS LOST HIS MIND! JOHNSON BARELY MAKING THE CHASE ? PLEASE HE'S THE ONLY DRIVER TO BE APART OF AND THREAT TO WIN ALL OF THEM HE"S BEEN THERE DONE THAT LOSING 1 AINT GOING TO BREAK HIS HEART:Prediction- 6-PACK THIS YEAR FOR THE MODERN DAY RICHARD PETTY! PENSKI F'd UP BY SWICTHING TO FORD BUT DODGE HAD TO WIN AT LEAST ONE TITLE B4 QUITTING ITS ALL PAYED OFF ANY WAY 60 million a year to operate 1 car team effectively tell who you want but theres way tooooo much money involved and way to many crooks in the world for it not be. IM a JOHNSON FAN BUT 5 in A ROW UN REAL!! HALL-OF-FAMER!!!!

OH YEA GT5 needs to add the 2013 cars like they did th 2011's

Welcome to the NASCAR thread.

Also:

1) This isn't a GT5 thread or section.
2) Don't double post, use the edit button.
3) You don't need to use caps lock, is a bit rude.
4) Try using a period every once in a while. ;)

They need the 2012 updated cars first (So that Landon Cassil can get in)
But anyway, I'm wondering what exactly is going on for BK Racing next season. They have smart people down there (Mike Ford and Doug Richert), and they started to show some major improvement in the last few races.

Landon has slowly started being a guy to watch for lower level drivers but I was shocked he missed the Snowball Derby. Hopefully they get a better 2nd driver as Travis nor David are going to improve much (David had some success at cup but it was toward end when equipment was better). I really don't know would be good over there as full-time guy honestly but maybe Regan Smith. If he wasn't at JRM and all that crap.

Yeah, it was a shame that Cassill missed the Snowball Derby. If it wasn't for a bad tire in qualifying, he would have made the field.

I sure hope that isn't what's happened. One is bad enough.

Eh, doesn't seem like it. Still annoying, though.

Johnson won't have the momentum as he had before, just like most of the drivers who screw up in the last few races of the chase.

What's even worse is that nearly all of those kinds of posts are directed towards me. :yuck:

Hmm it appears that Clint Bowyer and the 2012 -Champion- Brad Keselowski are not eligible for the Daytona shootout....
