Unlikely since all the trucks are getting a makeover for 2014. Maybe just some new headlight decals...

And have them look the same? Right...

Not to mention red doesn't even go with the Pepsi Max color scheme. Or any pepsi color scheme for that matter.

That is only for the All-Star race, the 2013 Shootout is pole winners only. It wouldn't be the first time, Kenseth didn't make the 2004 Shootout.
And former Shootout winners are also allowed in.
Which means Brad is out but Bill Elliott is in :)
Full list of eligible drivers as per Jayski:
1) Mark Martin (4 poles)
2) Kasey Kahne (4)
3) Jimmie Johnson (4)(WON 2 races from pole)
4) Greg Biffle (3)
5) Denny Hamlin (3)
6) Joey Logano (2)(WON a race from pole)
7) Aric Almirola (2)
8) Juan Pablo Montoya (2)
9) Jeff Gordon (2)
10) Carl Edwards
11) Martin Truex Jr.
12) A.J. Allmendinger
13) Marcos Ambrose
14) Matt Kenseth

16) Tony Stewart (won race 2001, 2002, 2007)
17) Dale Earnhardt Jr. (won race 2008)
Past Shootout champions (no 2012 pole):

Mark Martin tied for most poles this season and he didn't run a full time schedule. Incredible.

Sorry for pointing out the obvious, but it's amazing how he did that.

If he isn't in, Mark Martin should DEFINITELY be voted in the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Hell, put him in several other Hall of Fame classes and groups. The man is just amazing. I don't usually celebrate him as I do Jeff Gordon (and others), but I have immense respect for Mark Martin.

Pretty much yeah and replace the yellow strips with blue or white stripes.

Johnson to run this Piss yellow paint scheme at the Daytona Shootout.

I swear Jimmie gets the worst paint schemes sometimes.

Mark will be in without a doubt! It's a shame he never won a cup title.

Trucks won't be changed and they didn't even get changed in last update to street models other than decals. I'm curious to see big change with them though.

I actually like it.👍

The 22 is my current favorite, even though I'm not a fan of the driver.

Just the stripes I could deal with, but not that. Sorry, love the stripe idea, but some things just don't work.

As for Mark Martin, the fact that he doesn't have a championship hurts his chances...a bit. It's kind of like the Dan Marino argument in American Football, in that not winning the title somehow detracts from their standing in the Fame committees. Thing is, reguardless of the argument, Mark Martin is a legend, and when he gets inducted, I'd wager it'll be a unanimous decision.

Edit: The yellow 48 doesn't work for me because all the black on the side the way it is now. What I think WOULD work would be invert the door decal, maybe downsize the rear-quarter ones, and put the side stripes on it, give it the "RS/SS Package".

The only way Mark doesn't get in is if the HoF closes before he retires, which could very well happen as I don't think they have turned a profit since opening.

The HOF is funded mostly on subsidys by the city of Charlotte. As long as the HOF is bringing in tourists (Which it is, although they lost $600,000 in 2011-2012. But that is much better then the 1.4 million they lost on the hall in 2010-2011.) Charlotte will make sure it stays open.

Wasn't aware of that.

I think part of the problem is that there still aren't many entrants yet, after the 2013 induction there will still only be 20, hardly worth making a trip unless you are in the area anyways. I've said it since they announced it that they should have done double classes the first 4-5 years.

Yeah, without a robust HOF to look at, there isn't much of a reason to go there.

Honestly I can careless to a degree about who's in HOF there. It's not why I hacent been even living 2 hrs from it and being in Charlotte for races. It's location more than anything but they had help from Charlotte.

That 2 car looks absolutely awful. It looks like whoever designed the look completely ignored the lines of the car, and just pasted random lines wherever he wanted. Maybe they let Brad sketch the design after emptying his 4 liter beer glass at Homestead. Twice.

The more I look at it, the more unsold on it I am. Maybe its just me, but I think the Goldish stripes sorta balanced out the past paint schemes. This just makes that glass stick out terribly.

Also, I smell irony in the 22 car picture.

#22 car Dodge Pennzoil banners in back?

Indeed. That white space needs to be bigger, in a different location, and that beer glass needs to go away.

Welp, I must be in the minority then, 'cause I actually like the overall design. I will admit, the beer on the side doesn't do much for me, and it looks a little bare on the rear 1/2, I think it's nice.

Out of curiosity, how long before Carl Edwards gets booted from Roush now that Stenhouse is the new golden boy?

He signed a multi year deal for them in 2011 and Roush usually signs 3-4 year deals, so not until at least 2014.
