More like 2500lbs (1150kg) in US trim. The power to weight ratio is only marginally better than the S2000 but the car is considerably quicker. I'd put it down to the DSG. I really want to drive a 4C.

And more torque than the S2000, probably a lot more

HP is a much bigger component to speed than torque is.

Edit: This is already off topic. But I thought I'd add that the 4C is geared extremely aggressively (first gear is 4.1:1 and the final drive is 4.1:1 as well, giving first gear a massive 17x torque multiplier.) Naturally this means that 1st gear doesn't go very fast (only 27mph at redline!), especially with the low redline of the turbo engine. But the gearbox makes up for it with near-instant upshifts. I think from a 60mph roll the S2000 would actually have a somewhat better chance. As long as it was a hard top, ha.

Maybe, but with more torque you get there faster. Unless the F20C, which is.. what, 10-15 years old design, somehow magically has more torque than modern 1.7l DI turbo.. It would be a downgrade.

Guys look what i saw at the Paris Car Show yesterday

They actually are Nismo GTRs but they are concepts made to look like the 69s version..
Uhh, no they aren't. That's the Nissan IDx concept. It's a four-pot with the same chassis as the Juke, made to resemble the Datsun 510.

Might be produced (though toned down a bit) for 2016 too.

They need to build this. But first they need to make it look less awkwardly tall and skinny. Even the original doesn't look that tall and skinny.

I'd love if it sorta looked like an uprightish sedan but had the underpinnings of an actual sports car. Not all sports cars need to be low-slung and pointy like an FRS. This Nissan would make me happy.

Report! How is the fastest, most powerful GT-R Nissan has ever built feeling? :D

just recovering from the craziest day of my life. I will have a full rundown on monday once Nissan puts out the new release and video. but wow a dream come true

not to mention while I was at the dealership Nissan came to my house and did an extreme garage makeover NISMO style for me

first impression of the car since its still under break in is it is a very stiff set up much more so than my 09 and 12.

GTR NISMO is officially discontinued and current global orders placed before august 2014 will be built

It has been replaced with Track Edition "Engineered By NISMO" which basically uses the chasis bonding technology from the actual NISMO along with some parts bin NISMO suspension components left over from the now ultra rare one and done year GTR NISMO

no but you can get the wing and trunk in carbon as an option in Japan but ti will probably be standard for the US model like in the past

I'd hoped, as it's like a tease to have the NISMO suspension bits and unable to have a bit more downforce to work in tandem.

So what turned up on GTR-Otaku was true.

I wouldn't mind owning a 25th anniversary one (if it was signed by the chief engineers).
