That's a good point actually, Sunderland have beaten Chelsea twice in a row...

But what Sunderland is going to turn up? The one that can beat anyone, or the one that'll lose 9 goals...

West Brom 0-1 Arsenal, Welbeck with the goal, scrappy game

Gerrard on bench for Liverpool..

Tony Pulis is reporting on the United-Hull game on Soccer Saturday!

United 2-0 Hull half time, Smalling and Rooney with the goals but Di Maria went off with a hamstring problem, our injury worries are never ending!!

Been an entertaining day's football so far....

Very happy with United running over Hull today, and Real taking the win against Malaga.

Also Sunderland draws home to Chelsea, which is quite good result, for us and them. :)

Who got sent off in that Chelsea game?, app on my phone said someone got sent off but not who or which team..

I hope Southampton beat city. I'd like to see Southampton in Europe next year.United played the best game they've played it a while. Apparantly Rooney should be good for stoke. To be hottest we are fine without Di maria and shaw :P.

Absolutely fantastic to have Michael Carrick back running the game and making United tick.
Pirlo-esque performance from him today. He just make every player around him so much better.

Also a very good cameo from Herrera.
The two of them have the potential to form a Scholes/Keane like midfield pair.

Now just stay injury free please, the both of you.

Yay, Wednesday won for the first time in ELEVEN league games yesterday, with Stevie May finally remembering what a goal is (like every other striker who was prolific before joining us, he forgot).

Oddly though, since the Championship is mental and because we drew 9 of those games, we're still only 10pt off the top and have the second best defence in the league.

@Famine Wrexham ended a similar barren spell yesterday, winning for the first time in ten yet we're only 6 points off the play-offs because we 'only' lost four and drew five.

van Persie scored an excellent goal for United yesterday though. Has to be said.

Southampton 0-3 Man City

goals from Toure, Lampard and Clichy, City had Mangala sent off for two yellows and City should have had a penalty in the first half when Aguero went down but instead was booked for diving, Southampton had their chances but the better team won, City overtake them in to second...

Hopefully United can continue this winning streak by beating Stoke on Tuesday. Also, I don't know if anyone's noticed but it's looking quite tasty in the bottom half of the BPL. 5 points separate the bottom 9.

For anybody relishing the prospect of Juergen Klopp managing in England, perhaps you ought to know that Borussia Dortmund are currently bottom of the Bundesliga.

Gerrard has been offered a new contract at Liverpool...

Lionel Messi was struck on the side of his head with bottle that was thrown from the crowd, this is after a Deportivo fan died of a heart attack during clashes between them and Atletico fans before their match on Saturday night, not a good weekend for Spanish football...

..also, do you know what was weird this weekend?....Smalling, Cole, Clichy and Soldado all scored and Ronaldo didn't! :odd:

They seem to have completely lost all football skills in the Bundesliga. Really weird.

Even if you accept the fact that they've sold some of their best players, this is a team which still has Weidenfeller, Subotic, Bender, Sahin, Mkhitaryan and Grosskreutz. It is really, really strange indeed.

I think that Klopp is at fault for the injuries in Dortmund, weather its the high intensity style of play, the match recovery schedule or the training regimes, it can't be a coincidence that that more often than not they have 10 players out injured.

So Neuer, Messi and Ronaldo are the final 3 for the Ballon D'or. Personally, I think either Robben or Muller should be ahead of Messi but the other two are well deserved.

Neuer should win, Ronaldo will win.

So there are midweek league games this week, which is fairly rare nowadays, only happens once or maybe twice a season now I think, here's the fixtures

Tuesday
Burnley v Newcastle
Leicester v Liverpool (BT)
Man United v Stoke
Swansea v QPR
Crystal Palace v Aston Villa
West Brom v West Ham

Wednesday
Arsenal v Southampton (BT)
Chelsea v Tottenham
Everton v Hull
Sunderland v Man City

All games are 7.45pm kick-off with BT showing two games, Arsenal/Southampton and Chelsea/Spurs are the pick of the games...

If Spurs can play like they did at times against Everton, they might have a chance. Otherwise, Chelsea will win.

Rooney out of United game due to a knock..

De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Rojo, Young, Fellaini, Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Van Persie, Wilson

Wilson gets his second league start, Falcao remains on bench whilst he gradually return to action..

Real Madrid (B, C or which ever variation you prefer) demolished little UE Cornella 5-0 at Bernabeu, and advanced with 9-1 on aggregate. Really good performance, and when the top names playing were Isco and Chicarito, with James playing 1st half, its a good match. Happy to see Jese back from injury and with a great goal. 👍

Edit:

United somehow win 2-1 vs Stoke...

David de Gea with a wonder save, and some insane clearances from the defenders in added time. Stoke are unlucky to not get a point today, but i'll take it. :P :P :P
