Derby 1-2 Chelsea with about 15 mins to play......and Thierry Henry has retired, he'll become a pundit for Sky..

Real winning 4-0 against Cruz Azul in the Club World Cup match tonight, should have been more goals though, both ways. But it's nice to see Khedira and Jese getting some playtime.

Also, Real now have 21 wins in a row in all competetive cups and leagues! :dunce:

Gone from bad to worse for Southampton, just been knocked out of the League Cup by League One Sheffield United....Chelsea are through..

Liverpool beat Bournemouth 3-1 and Spurs beat Newcastle 4-0 in the league cup, semi final draw to come...

Capital Cup Semi Final Draw

Liverpool v Chelsea
Tottenham v Sheffield United

Oh dear Liverpool!!

General football discussion?

Well, to clarify I love football but I hate how it is run and by whom.
This is pretty much exactly how I feel too. The sooner Sepp Blatter resigns the better. When people think of football nowadays they think of the corruption and the politics side of it which is really sad. When I think of football I think of having a kick around up the local park with mates. That's essentially where all footballers start out.

Football this weekend, last football before Christmas....

Saturday
Aston Villa v Man United
Hull v Swansea
Man City v Crystal Palace (12.45 BT)
QPR v West Brom
Southampton v Everton
Tottenham v Burnley
West Ham v Leicester

Sunday
Liverpool v Arsenal (4.00 Sky)
Newcastle v Sunderland (1.30 Sky)

Monday
Stoke v Chelsea (8.00 Sky)

No Saturday night game, two big games on Sunday...

3:00 kick off for United, need to find a livestream for that one then. At least I know what I'm going to be watching Sunday though.

Why I love TV2 Sumo here in Norway, they always show the United games, and I can watch it on my phone while at work. :P

I think I've used that as a livestream for a game before. Where possible I try and find an Arabic channel though because the commentators go nuts a lot of the time. It's the same with a lot of South American channels too.. Anyway, I've decided to pull my Christmas avatar out as well.

So our winning streak has come to an end. However Falcao scored his second goal in a United shirt so we've got that going for us. It wasn't a particularly good game in my opinion. I thought Ashley Young was excellent yet again and Wilson showed promise when he came on. Apart from that, we just lacked something. I have a feeling it was Fellaini's physical presence in the midfield. Our defence coped well (most of the time) but it's something I just can't put my finger on.

Missed the football as I was in work, good day for my teams neither of them lost, good win for Swansea after losing our last two games, I had a feeling that United would miss Fellaini, should have won that game after Villa went down to 10, surprised Everton lost like they did considering Southampton had a few injuries and suspensions...

I haven't watched Man Utds last few games as I've had no Internet or TV but I am a little disappointed that we didn't continue our form, however a draw away from home isn't anything to be too hard on. Just hoping this doesn't knock our confidence and we can keep this good spell going.

Another win for Sunderland over Newcastle and that makes four in a row for Sunderland in the Tyne-Wear derby, excellent finish by Johnson in the 90 minute, Liverpool v Arsenal up next...

2-2 it finished, Coutinho and Skrtel for Liverpool, Debuchy and Giroud for Arsenal, Borini sent off not long after coming on as sub...

Proof that Zlatan Ibrahimovich is a bit of a cock.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Striker fumes as Borg is top sporting Swede

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is upset at losing out to tennis ace Bjorn Borg as Sweden's top sports person of all time.

Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter ranked the top 150 Swedes but placed Ibrahimovic behind the five-times Wimbledon winner.

Congratulated by the paper, the PSG striker responded: "Thank you, but to finish second is like finishing last."

Asked for his top Swedes, he replied: "I would have been No 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, with due respect to the others."

However, Ibrahimovic admitted that Borg, who also won six French Open titles, was a "cool person" and "a living legend".

Borg dominated Wimbledon for five straight years between 1976 and 1980, before losing to John McEnroe in the 1981 final.

So here are the football fixtures for Boxing Day

Arsenal v QPR (5.30 BT)
Burnley v Liverpool
Chelsea v West Ham (12.45 Sky)
Crystal Palace v Southampton
Everton v Stoke
Leicester v Tottenham
Man United v Newcastle (3.00 BT)
Sunderland v Hull
Swansea v Aston Villa
West Brom v Man City

Three games televised, all other games are 3pm Kick offs...

Few bits of news then

Bolton have signed Emile Heskey on a short term deal, this is after they recently signed former player Eidur Gudjohnsson....

Swansea have signed Benfica striker Nelson Oliviera on loan till the end of the season as cover, Wilfied Bony will be at the African Nations Cup next month..

Louis Van Gaal has given his players Christmas Day off to spend with their families, its the first time its happened at the club in 27 years and clubs do usually have their players in on that day for light training ahead of the Boxing Day games, not having his players in could be a mistake..

LVG was very outspoken against the EPL's Christmas schedules. Saying it gives no time to spend with families. I'm not surprised he gave them the day off but like you said it could well be a mistake if everyone else is training.

Chelsea just beat West Ham 2-0, no Di Maria in United team, Balotelli on bench for Liverpool...

Playing 3 at the back, might be a mistake. I feel as though Newcastle will come out and play like Barcelona against utd.
