Di Maria injured again, picked it up at training on Christmas Eve, if training is the reason for the injury problems this season then LVG needs to sort it now,....

Man United 2-0 at half time, Rooney with both, first assist from Falcao second from Mata, Man City 3-0 up at half time, Liverpool 0-0 away to Burnley...

United win 3-1, Rooney with 2 and van Persie with 1. Newcastle gets one back from a penalty.

Decent win, I felt after the first 15 minutes we had complete control, and should have made more chances and scored more goals.

Good day of Football for me, Man United Swansea and Wrexham all winning, United are the first team to win 50 Boxing Day games...

Anyone see the snow at the Hawthorns?!

It's funny how you can include Cristiano Ronaldo on that list even though he actually played in the Premier League.
I had to double check that to make sure it was true. You learn something new every day

There's some Christmas cheer to be had for Neil Warnock. He's at least won £20 each from Nigel Pearson and Alan Irvine for the bet on who gets sacked first.

Crystal Palace have sacked their manager, and they're reportedly looking at getting Tony Popovic back to take charge. Which is fine if you look at the way he took Western Sydney from a brand-new team to being Asian champions in just three years. But they haven't had a win in ten games this A-League season. They're a very cohesive team, but between the Asian Champions League, Club World Cup and the squad being plundered for the national team, they're clearly exhausted.

I'm annoyed that Palace have sacked Warnock. In terms of hatred, it was much more efficient having that complete throne in charge of that drizzle of cheating testes.

Spurs playing Chiriches and Townsend on the right flank is bad tactics, against a wingback you'd want a fullback that's going to attack (I.e. Walker) so you can get a bit of out numbering going on that side. Chiriches is a CB, a poor one at that, and will give Ashley Young no trouble.

Our only hope is the Chadli-Eriksen-Kane trio but I don't think Spurs will be able to get any sort of foothold in this game.

Pulis should never have left.

Wonder if he fancies doing it again but this time with fewer games?

First half good, second half crap, overall not good thought we tired towards the end....

Could be a very good day for Man City, Chelsea drew with Southampton and Man United drew with Spurs, City are 2-1 up at home to Burnley right now..

MAN CITY 2-2 BURNLEY!!!!

What a result for Burnley to go to the Champions and get a point!!

Alan Pardew is the surprise favourite for the Palace job. Why on earth would Alan Pardew walk away from 6 years guaranteed money at an improving Newcastle to join relegation fodder Palace?

It is quite bizarre, the deal is moving closer as they apparently have agreed a £2.5 mill compo package, Pardew has been linked with the Palace job in the past and he did used to play for them but there doesn't seem to be a lot of pressure on him at Newcastle right not, they won yesterday, unless something's happened behind the scenes there that we don't know about....knowing Mike Ashley there probably has!

Happy New Year everyone, its the FA Cup this weekend but before that there's a full programme of League games tomorrow with every team playing, here are the matches

Aston Villa v Crystal Palace
Hull v Everton
Liverpool v Leicester
Man City v Sunderland (BT)
Newcastle v Burnley
QPR v Swansea
Southampton v Arsenal
Stoke v Man United (12.45 Sky)
Tottenham v Chelsea (5.30 BT)
West Ham v West Brom

Three games televised, all other games are 3pm KO's

Tony Pulis and West Brom have a verbal agreement that that Pulis will take over, Pardew has been in talks with Palace but no appointment made there yet, John Carver takes charge of Newcastle tomorrow, Steve Bruce and Jurgen Klopp have ruled themselves out of the running for the job....

Stoke 1-1 United result, not a great game or performance, weather played its part as it was very windy, 10 unbeaten for United...

What a days football so far, so many goals and talking points, Southampton beat Arsenal, Burnley came back three times to draw 3-3 with Newcastle, Liverpool gave away a two goal lead v Leicester, Everton lost for a fourth game in a row....still Spurs v Chelsea to come..

 Arsenal

The only consolation was seeing the Special One get hammered. But it was Spurs doing it :(.

The fans actually like him there.

Also, today was the best football I've seen in 2015.

I'm really confused at what Pardew is doing in regards to palace. Doesn't make any sense. If palace are relegated then I see him getting the sack too. Doesn't seem worth the risk in my eyes.

Perhaps a combination of good money and growing tired of "Pardew Out" convinced him to leave.
