Gah, it's so difficult to watch matches when there's no delayed broadcast. I can't follow anything consistently. At least I've got the AFC Asian Cup, but only four matches are guaranteed to be broadcast live. And even then, they're not exactly high-calibre teams that are playing - we're ranked at #100 in the world and we steam-rolled Kuwait 4-1 last night.

I always hope for promising young English players to make the most of themselves but.. I really don't like Jordan Henderson. He seems extremely mouthy and arrogant.

Thinking about starting a thread for The African Cup of Nations which starts next weekend, anyone interested?...

Swansea 1-1 West Ham, good point after going 1 down, Carroll's goal was superb!

Leicester 1-0 Villa, Everton 1-1 Man City, Chelsea 2-0 Newcastle, West Brom 1-0 Hull, Sunderland 0-1 Liverpool, Burnley 2-1 QPR..

Palace 2-1 Spurs. Great result for Pardew and Palace against an in form Spurs side. Everton holding City to a draw was a bit of a surprise considering Everton's poor form recently. I really can't see beyond City or Chelsea for this years title. Even with a win tomorrow, United will be 7 points behind City and 9 points behind Chelsea. It's pretty close just under those 2 though. 5 points separate 3rd and 8th.

Eastleigh 4-0 Lincoln City

Eastleigh missed three penalties and still won by four. According to the plethora of non-league Twitter accounts I follow, Brian Howard, making his debut for Eastleigh, attempted a rabona penalty and totally fluffed it.

Great football today by Arsenal, great to see some of the big boys back, can't wait to see theo, ozil and ramsey now at their best together and of course Sanchez superb again, doubt there is a better player than him in england atm.

United 0-0 Southampton at half time, very much a tactical battle so far with not many chances, United have Di Maria, Rooney, Mata and Van Persie all starting, Falcao not in squad, he is rested...

.....aaannndd we are 0-1 down :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:

United 0-1 Southampton full time, just terrible, played like we did last season, why are we playing three at the back?!:banghead:

Cristiano Ronaldo wins the Ballon d'Or for the third time in his career! Congrats CR7!!! :D

Still seething from the United result and performance on Sunday, its appalling that we have all that attacking talent and not have a shot on target at home!...

So main news for today is that Wilfried Bony to Man City is a done deal, was confirmed this morning, signed for £28 million and will wear the number 14 shirt, other transfer news is that Jermain Defoe is in talks with Sunderland....

Games this weekend

Saturday
Aston Villa v Liverpool
Burnley v Crystal Palace
Leicester v Stoke
Newcastle v Southampton (5.30 Sky)
QPR v Man United
Swansea v Chelsea
Tottenham v Sunderland

Sunday
Man City v Arsenal (4.00 Sky)
West Ham v Hull (1.30 Sky)

Monday Night
Everton v West Brom (8.00 Sky)

No early kick-off tomorrow..

Jermain Defoe completes move to Sunderland and is almost certain to be in the squad for the game against his former team Spurs...

David Ginola will run for the FIFA presidency this year, looks like its a publicity stunt as he is being backed by bookies Paddy Power...

Everyone saying that Chelsea played well yesterday. It wasn't so much of playing well, I thought we were bang average. Swansea just had not left the locker room yet on the pitch... looked like Chelsea was playing a League 2 or 1 side...

I went to Loftus Road yesterday. QPR fans are the rowdy sorts. I got the impression they'd beat up the referee if they could get away with it.
Great to see the super-subs involved, although the first half was a joke. They all just passed it to the nearest QPR player, and di Maria could do nothing. He's not a forward.
Wilson and de Gea were definitely the best two on the pitch. Falcao was unluckier than I first thought, but the fact is that a top class forward really should be putting away such opportunities.

And yes, the United fans really did chant 4-4-2 at half time. Turns out 3-5-2's meant to make up for the backline, while 4-4-2 gives us and them more chances.

Happy with the United win, still only papers over the cracks though...

...and as for Swansea, oh Jesus Christ!!, easily the worst performance under Garry Monk and possibly our worst since we got promoted to the Prem, just shocking stuff! :ouch::grumpy:

So right now at The Etihad its Man City 0-2 Arsenal....im not kidding!...
