Driver Briefing
Start Procedure
1 - the lobby will be opened at least 30 minutes before the start of the race.
2 - starting drivers should enter the lobby as soon as possible.
3 - the lobby setting will be reset 5 minutes before the start of the race, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE TO THE TRACK DURING THIS TIME.
4 - At 1400 UTC the correct lobby setting will be loaded.
5 - Starting drivers may now take to the track and the event will start immediately.
6 - There not be any qualifying or grid, all cars will start from the pit lane as soon as they reach the race room.
Driver changes (Network Teams)
1 - When Driver A wishes to hand over his car to Driver B, he must enter the pits and take a digital photograph of his whole screen, in order to record duration and lap count.
2 - Driver A should then leave the race and return to the lobby.
3 - Driver B may enter the race once Driver A has returned to the lobby.
4 - Before leaving the pits Driver B must take a digital photograph of his whole screen, in order to record start time relative to lobby start time.
5 - When Driver B wishes to hand over his car to Driver C, see Step 1.
Finish Procedure
1 - Once total race time has elapsed, Drivers may continue to race until they return to the finish line where they should stop and take a final digital photograph, in the area before Turn 1.
2 - GTP_NEMO will leave the race and return to the lobby to check live timing, once this is done he will let driver know the event is complete.
Scoring
1 - At the end of the Event total laps completed by each Car will determine finishing order.
2 - Cars with the same number of laps will be ordered by track positions at the end of the Event.
Notes from Team Manager Briefing
1 - Will any drivers be required to leave the race lobby (waiting room) to make way for other drivers
There will only be 15 spots available in the lobby. We have 14 driver total, excluding @DaxCobra 's team mates who will be using the same PSN, therefore driver may wait in the room. N.B. Only ONE driver per team on track at any one time.
2 - Are rigidity bars permitted on the cars?
Yes.
3 - During a driver changeover, do the cars have to be stopped in the pits before the photos are taken and the driver swap process happens?
As long as you are in the pits, the tyre/fuel choice box is dismissed, and the photo is of the whole screen, it is fine. We can use that data to check if you have crossed the line in the pits or not.
4 - Has any thought been given as to what to do if a driver experiences connection problems?
We suggest turning EVERYTHING off and on again, and perhaps getting another driver in the team to cover whilst that is being done. This race is set up so if you lag out at hour 9, you will not have to serve jail time due to your subsequent actions.
5 - Are oil changes permitted between stints?
Yes. If you think the time it takes is worth it.
Outstanding Issues
1 - @
GTP_DeadKun - eng_almir & LucasALV are not pinging back as valid PSN names. The lobby will be friends only and they will not be able to get in if I am not able to add them before the event starts.
