@Famine I've noticed that Collard always get it's in to these situations. He has good starts but then can't keep the pace for the whole race. His downfall comes in the fact that he defends each position ruthlessly like his life depends on it. Obliviously with the way BTCC is the drivers behind get desperate and biff him off.

Wrong thread you want the second one on the left just by the vending machine.

Collard's problem is that he's a good 2nd tier driver in a 1st tier car. He races at the sharp end, but doesn't quite have the race-craft to compete with the best of them.

When he's comfortable, he can pull some good moves on track. When he gets uncomfortable, he's fairly prone to making mistakes.

Did Hunter Abbott have anything to do with this at all?

Actually yes:

"When I happened to mention this to Hunter Abbott he immediately agreed to provide TOCA with the specialist equipment and training for us to make it happen, added Gow."

Don't you have to be a little bit drunk to be a touring car driver at all?

It's a silly sport, although fun to watch. There's little respect for course boundaries from stewards or drivers, corner contact is an accepted way of passing other cars... all in all it's what you'd see if you put a GT6 public lobby on as a public event.

Addictive watching :D

I'll see you there.

BTCC cars are a bit louder than you imagine.

It's really incredible that the Super Tourers are completely resurfacing. Many people have great memories of those times. I follow the news here in France but maybe the proper BTCC inhabitants can clear this up for me. I have the feeling BTCC is booming like never before. The 2014 season is very popular already and no super tourers from the 90ties are thrown in de mix. You think after Oulton Park we will see more weekend that combine the super tourers with the 2014 BTCC? Could this concept (BTCC2014) spread through Europe so that events could be mixed? For example a French Touringcar Championship , a German Touringcar Championship all running the BTCC specs. In a few years the possibillity to run a few international races? Where is BTCC heading?

What are the chances that there will be an official game in the (near) future? The momentum for something like that really seems to be there!

Well NGTC caused a revolt in Scandinavia and why WTCC didn't go NGTC.I'll never know...

The STCC was full of feuding teams anyway, so it wasn't much to do with NGTC as a package. WTCC is what i've always said - it's just a very stupid decision to make up a brand new set of rules when you have some successful ones already lying there.

So, we've seen several Red Flags today at Oulton Park... Currently under a Red Flag during Qualifying of the Renault Clio Cup as well as a Red Flag in the Super Touring Qualifying Session...

Whilst @Furinkazen is getting drenched at Oulton, I'll be up at Donington today watching the AMOC :sly: Can't wait to catch up with the BTCC (and support races) over the holidays, have a maths exam on Monday so I'll miss most of the racing tomorrow due to revision 👎

What is the link for live streaming of quali. Seems like i can't get it because i'm in Scotland and ITV won't let me watch

So, the A-Class went backwards right into the wall, damage doesn't look too bad for the Merc but it's not going any further for now. Also, the tyre wall is completely demolished....

Marshals are working with Morgan to get that car on the move again...
