There's a number of empty seat there at the start of the second half, that could just be people making their way back to them but quite a few did leave at half time during the Semi final...

That David Luiz is a joke... Luisao and Miranda could do better than both David Luiz and Thiago Silva.
Thiago Silva is not a problem and is clearly Brazil's best defender.

Would have liked to see Miranda alongside though, would have complimented Silva fairly well.

Really? Still looks crowded for me (on tv anyways)

I think it was money well spent, its been a successful tournament that seems to have been organized well with some fantastic stadiums (Sao Paolo, Maracana and Brasilia are my favourites) just because the Host Nation went out in the way they did doesn't mean it hasn't been successful...

I already know silly ;) I meant that, I think, some Brazillians will be thinking of that desperate looking at their team losing.

Still overall, the matches is more exciting than the South Africa despite the not-so-great opening ceremony and songs and crappy background events (thank god it dried out at later half of the tournament).

No wonder Brazil are awful, they have Sammy Davis Jr anchoring midfield.

Final predictions: BRA 0-2 NED. Who would have known.......

EDIT: Nevermind, its 0-3 now. Still my prediction about Brazil losing is still true though.

It's closer to 4- or even 5-0 than 3-1...

They play with no motivation, no creativity and David Luiz...

Any team - No.1 striker = Doomed.
Just see Uruguay for comparasion.
Even with Neymar, Brazil was poor.

Yeah sure, they won most of their matches (and some of the matches just barely), but not convincing as you see with Germany, Argentina, Netherlands etc etc...

So that's all 23 players van Gaal's used. Can't remember when Veltman and Kongolo came on though...must have been Chile game. EDIT: Kongolo was in the Chile game, Veltman was all the way back in the Spain game actually.
Many of them are not quite world class yet. But he still took them to 3rd.
Superb effort all things considered.

Scolari to have meeting with his bosses later this evening

Was a decent game, not a lot happened in that second half...

Poor maybe. But who would have thought Brazil was THAT bad without Neymar with 1-7 with German.

Veltman came on tonight too.

Veltman came on tonight too.
So he did, right at the very end.
It's the rest of the defenders that did their job though. They all played superbly, and in sync as well, which I suspect is rather difficult when there's 5 of them at the back.
