Yeah, the front wheels look like they're positioned too far back from the front corners. How much will that effect the zoom-zoom?

The Enzo was pretty zoom-zoomy with it's enormous front overhang:

It doesn't look as bulky as the current one, the roofline is lower and it makes it look more sportier.

That is a very upscale interior. I'd assume that's a Touring model. Glad they stuck with knobs and buttons for the things we need most. Let's hope they don't try to move the pricing upmarket and keep it extremely competitive like they did with the 6.

Looking good! I love the interior design, it's simple but looks good and works well.p

Hopefully the 6 gets a refresh when this thing comes out. This interior looks totally superior.

Their new design language, as seen on the CX-5 and the new 6, is A LOT better than the smiley crap they've had for a while. (which the last 6 seemed to avoid) Can't wait to see the new Miata with this design.

Ehhhhhh???

It's probably a bit of a gamble to go with a quasi-fastback hatchiback but it does look good. I wish it was more wagony like the older ones.

Yeah, the Lancer Sportback of similar style hasn't done so well in the US. I see one every month or so, they are that scarce around here.

If they made it similar to the new 6 wagon, then it would be brilliant.

I have to assume the Lancer's problem is it being a Mitsu though, not a Mazda. Mitsubishi has struggled with everything for a long time.

I forgot about the new 6 wagon. The design language makes them look similar so maybe they did it for differentiation? Maybe to emphasize a more sporty look versus a traditional wagon? It does look sportier than the previous cars which, honestly, didn't look sporty at all. And this rear also makes it quite different than most cars in its segment, the Focus and Golf in particular. I think if anybody cross shops this and the golf, or the future Speed 3 and MK7 GTI, if they have any leaning toward excitement they'll pick the Mazda. The Golf is a clean design, just boring as hell.

Hmm, it's a bit too rakish for me. t's nice, but I'd like to see some concessions to practicality.

I hope it doesn't look too much like the rest of the lineup. Well...I don't know. I really do love the new grille and chrome sword thing. It just needs to look like a Miata, not an S2000. The grille should be mounted low, not right between the headlights like on the sedans.

This grainy photo of the 2014 Mazda 3 apparently popped up on a Russian Facebook, of all places. Source.

Mazda hasn't formally announced it yet, but the car you're looking at is almost certainly the 2014 Mazda3. It showed up in some Japanese magazine scans earlier this month, and now here it is in person, having popped up on a Russian Facebook account of all places.

The red car in this photo certainly looks like the blue hatchback from those magazine scans.

Overall, it's not a bad design. It looks much sleeker and streamlined than the outgoing Mazda3, although part of me feels like it looks too much like a shrunken down CX-5. Not that that's bad or anything, it's just a bit derivative.

We'll see if this is accurate when the car gets revealed later this year. More than anything, I just hope it's as rewarding to drive as the current Mazda3.

Also, go ahead with any Russian dash cam jokes that have popped into your head now.

It's funny because it is currently the best selling car here "Down Under" and if half of the appeal of the Mazda3 is the looks, then plainly it won't sell in the numbers we see now.

The current 3 is probably the ugliest car in it's class, especially in sedan form. I still see them all over the place. This new car should sell extremely well I think.

I like red tail lights. And the 3 looks pretty nice in that photo. Now, let's hear about that chassis.

What's wrong with red tail lights?

In a world of LED's, red covers seem rather pointless and outdated. Clear lights like the previous Mazda 3 look much more modern and cleaner. It just feels like they've taken a step back. :scared:

The clear lenses on the outgoing car were one of it's worst attributes.

If anything, clear lenses were the 2003 thing. Whats funny is that the car that more or less started the clear lens trend actually looks better with red lenses:

That's a 2003 by the way.
