What's the last time a prominent buschwhacker won the Cup title? Like, Terry Labonte in 1996 I suppose?

Brad Keseloski, right after the year he won the Nationwide title (and did so while still doing a crapload of Nationwide races.).

It's rained in Richmond.. again. Guarantee there will be a competition caution around lap 40 tonight.

Edit: Although here it's very sunny and hot. Maybe that will change since the weather should be moving towards me.

I watched the race again and Stewart climbed from 12th to 4th in the first 16 laps, I rest my case!

Seeing he won thrice at Richmond, it'll be interesting to see how he fares Saturday and if he can somehow make the Chase.

That's great that you did that, who other than you cares, the point still stands qualifying doesn't tell the story other then for qualifying. If I go by your reasoning then Carl Edwards should have won Michigan or been the odds favorite a couple weeks for the win, due to qualifying third. However, that wasn't the case, now if Stewart had finished in the top ten or five I would have agreed that he's quite fine or on a mission to prove something.

Also it seems you recognized that qualifying is indeed a red herring at times hence why you focused on the race to prove Stewart was viable. Which is basically what I said you should focus on.

Either way you still seemed to have missed the context of my original post that devolved into you wanting your routine pissing contest with one of us.

So I won't be able to watch the race because at work tonight, which means I'll record it and watch it tomorrow, but I'll be avoiding news until I do watch it... and I'll be at church all morning tomorrow. The Redskins game starts at 1, so the earliest I'll try to watch the race is like 4:30 tomorrow... and by that point, if it had been rained out, they would have done the race the next day and I would have missed it because of the skins game.

So it's either make sure the race ran tonight and risk spoiling the results, OR pray that it wasn't rained out and try to watch it tomorrow evening.

More awful covers please ESPN... I guess they've hit the point where they don't want to put money into their coverage so they're saving a ton by using cover songs instead of the real things.

ESPN erroneously reporting that 2nd places matter in Chase seeding, but there's nothing in the actual rules for the Chase that mention 2nd places would be used.

It's all done by points ESPN...

Bowyer (& Harvick) looking good early...

Stewart was back at the level he's been at this year, qual & race. Don't bother replying to my posts anymore, I don't have time replying to (intellectually dishonest) trolls like you and will leave you at your little pissing contest alone.

Its been a Chevy for the past two seasons, they're in a technical alliance with RCR.

Bestwick trying to British Soccer commentator his way around describing why there's a caution but just giving up is hilarious

So the level of mediocrity and being a vast echo from even thinking about the chase let alone participating in it? Also how am I being dishonest here? Where do I attempt to lie?

Also I don't understand how you using my own comment as a "I know you are but what am I" is helpful to your cause, but it is adorable I will say that. Also Stewart is currently in 16th at the moment of this post, he's doing ravishing tonight especially in the context of how he's won here "thrice" as you put it. I can't say if he's having issues or not, but I can say he is doing the same non-chase contending drives he has been this year.

As for the comment I made you do pick a fight with everyone here not because they're even wrong, which I could accept but because you just want to pick fights. And you call me the troll? You might want to look up the context of a troll rather than loosely try to make things stick.

It'd be interesting to hear some of the radio transmissions for this caution.

It'd be interesting to watch that episode of cops, Nascar edition
