Hey, got my Email. Its the same 'maybe' email Ziptie got.
Gotta go, now Im rushed, lots to do suddenly!

Congrats and thanks to everyone!!!!

Awesome dude, I hope you get to make it! Mine got upgraded to an official email saying congrats on earning on of the coveted spots, etc - but it started as the other one - there is a chance!!!!

Just got my blood work done any one who hasn't done it yet fill out the top left part or else they won't accept it just FYI

This! However, they did let me fill it in while I was there. They also had a few questions, but if you give them the number to the doctor that is included in your email, she can walk them through it. It turns out there are some slightly different codes per state, but it was all easily handled with a quick phone call.

I'm all set up to this point. Blood work done today. I'm pumped and ready to go. Oh yeah, we still have nearly a week before we go...c'mon wednesday!!!

Arriving at JFK at 4:00 and more than happy to share a cab with anyone arriving around the same time.

I've asked this before, but out of those who are going to New York, who has on track experience? I know at least one of you fine gentlemen mentioned somewhere that you don't have any real experience. I for one, have done almost nothing. Spill the beans!

I've raced autocross a few times and I've raced karts a bit too. I haven't had any track time on a road course yet but I'm trying hard to change that before wednesday :) and possibly in a 370z! What are friends for, right!!!

I don't think having on track experience means you'll be faster... On the other hand your martial arts video in your sig. intimidates me in terms of fitness :nervous::bowdown::bowdown:

Haha, don't worry, my asthma will take over if we have any running challenges, and you'll all leave me in the dust:P

But yeah! I just assume knowing what to expect when driving a real car on the limit is going to really come in handy. I mean, I hoon my car from time to time, but nothing like real track time. We will see!

I'll have to take a look at your videos! So you've got some seat time under your belt! Excellent.

It's looking like I'm the latest arrival! You guys will get to be all chummy and hang out for hours before I arrive.

Did anyone get their urine analysis done at Quest? They just took my blood sample but at the top of the NAF schedule it said something about getting our blood and UA test done at our local Quest diagnostics center.

The latter will be done in NY.

Compared to some one with no time driving a car in a performance environment (autocross/track/otherwise), that's exactly what it means.

I had no track experience last year and i wasnt that far off the pace. But I had mountain roads to practice on... not going over the speed limit.... obviously.:dopey:

So are all of the 28 spots filled? according to the list there are still spots unaccounted for; or will those just be empty seats?

So not a Professional Driver on Closed Course... yet? :sly:

To think that someone in here could be the next GT Academy champ. If it's anything like last year, I'll guess the top group right but completely miss on the eventual winner. :dunce:

My list currently has 3 unfilled spots, but I believe that there may be another spot that opened up as someone who was confirmed got injured and will be unable to attend. Stay ready in case you get an "official" email but don't get set on it as the let down would be worse than the surprise of a last minute contact - which at this point it will definitely be last minute if you get one! Stay positive and be ready just in case.

Sabirknight confirmed he got his email and will be going. I am updating the OP. I am unable to remove the injured driver as I do not know their name.

@Tyler Utley I see you're also from SoCal, I wonder if you'll be on the same flight as the rest of us flying from LAX. You can PM me if you don't want to post too many details, we'll be flying out at 1040 and arriving at 0715pm in JFK.
