I was talking to @scca_ziptie the other night on the FacingtonBook, and I mentioned that I have been doing martial arts so long that I have no qualms with getting punched in the face, and then sitting down with a beer with the same gentleman an hour later. :cheers:

EH'DIT: @LLOYDZELITE69 I just saw your message. I thought you Canadians hadn't developed the hate section of their brains/hearts?!

Sorry for my ignorance but I assumed i was way out of contention. But did the "US uncomfirmed drivers" supposed to get an email or something? Or is it only if there is a space available?

The GT Academy folks are contacting everyone, and have contacted a few people outside of contention in case some people decline/aren't eligible. I believe an extra 5 or 6 more people would have to decline or be ineligible for you to be in contention.

tguns and I have ran in the same Gran Turismo circles for quite a few years now. He and I have had some excellent battles in the past.

Super nice guy. I wish him the best in NYC.

The coolest thing was that I told all the guys that a top 3 qualifier lives in the area. I was shocked that it was someone I've known since last years league. @Doodle is not only fast in GT but also an extremely fast racer in those karts. Look forward to racing in the league with you again buddy and hopefully the karts will cooperate next week.

Do I have to pay out of pocket at first?

Meals eaten at airport, airport parking, check in fees, taxi to/from airport and whatnot. Keep your receipts.

Unconfirmed drivers - not sure who they are as I have been unable to get 100% confirmation. It is likely now that a driver behind me (at least 1) will be into a transfer position. Cannot confirm the third driver from Canada either.

you will be responsible for getting to the airport, from the airport in NY to your hotel and some meals. I asked my contact this morning what that meant and that was her reply.

Got my lab work done today. 🤬 is getting real.
