Much like I thought. Druids is a 180º turn, and Graham could use a light tap. Would work on Paddock too, I think.
Yeah, I think maybe the last corner too, because its incredibly hard to get the car to the apex whilst carrying so much speed. I may have to practise using the handbrake later if it does give a large advantage. Really don't want to though.

If you want to use the handbrake and to make things a little easier at using it, map it to the upper right hand red button on the wheel, if you are using a G27. That's the way I use it in the Seasonal TT's and it works pretty well for me that way. And no, I'm not worried about correct cornering technique as there is no way I can become a real life driver, so yea, I do use it in the game when I see it to be advantageous. My prior statements are just for those that aspire to become finalists and have hope of going on to become real life drivers. Just thought I'd better clear that up before people start calling me a hypocrite.

Just had a quick 15 mins. 1:03.742

Hate the last corner, I either I slow down too much or the car just doesn't turn in. Losing 3 tenths there at least!

Graham hill bend is where I lost time on my lap, it is a hard corner because you don't want any drifting because of the straight, you just want the weight over enough to allow the car to go through the corner. The best bet if it's 4 wheel drifting is as you brake stay on the throttle, even minimal to stop any oversteer, yes a little understeer will occur but a little understeer and maintain speed vs lift off oversteer and lose alot I know which one I do and prefer :).

Think of the leaf like the go-karts in GT, if you lift off at all they start to get very oversteery (Well they used to when I lasted used them) do the same for the leaf :).
That actually worked for 3 tenths out of 6 lol. Thanks.

Spent 2 hours today testing all kinds of lines and ended up confusing myself. Theoretical best should be 1:03.6xx. I coulnd't manage more than 2(out of the 4) decent corners in a single lap :(

No worries, glad it helped :)!

As for the handbrake I've seen mentioned unless there in the .6xxs (I've not looked) after sector 1 you don't need it you can do everything the same with actual technique which as Mitch said is far better to do and learn than trying to learn using the handbrake which you will never use in real life. If they are in the .6xxs from using it I'll be stopping there lol.

Hi all, nice to see a gtp leaderbord with some of the fastest drivers posting in this thread. Ill post my best time so far.

I'm sure @Doodle said something about having a .6, not sure which thread though.

Very close to getting a 1:03.3xx; gotta nail those last two corners!

Btw, Tidgney, when will you upload a tutorial vid on this TT??? Looking for any tips to help me improve. ;)

Also, what's the trick to going round 'druids'??? Where's a good braking point and turn in point?

Thank's!

does this Nissan leaflet decelerate on throttle release much like the BMW i3 does? (as if braking) wonder if this sheds insight to new lines on this lap.

I also did sub 1.04.250 with the gas pedal always dialed in, just left foot braked my way around town.

Hehe well normally I don't do one for the small rounds but I did notice this is a full lap time trial so I'll make one during this week and hopefully it should be out Friday PM or Saturday AM (BST). But if you have any questions fire away, there's been a few people asking for certain things! Druids the best braking point is just after you pass the white marker on the left (When your full car is past) turn in come of the brakes early and actually the car to roll through, you should get some oversteer midway in the corner and then accelerate as that happens. (I'm not a believer in the handbrake :P)

Looking forward to a video, I sure could use some tips from you. 👍 Also, I have a question for you and would like your opinion. I am a big critic of using SRF and hate using it in the Seasonal TT's. I caved in a while back and started using it just so I could be competitive on the leaderboards. My opinion is that I believe I have developed some very bad habits/techniques from prolonged use of it. I say this because I am now struggling here and also in the other TT's where SRF is forced off. As a seasoned veteran as yourself with tons of experience, do you believe my opinion here is valid and has merit, or am I just grasping at straws. I always have said that by using SRF you will develop poor racing techniques and I believe that is what has happened to me...I could just be reaching though which is why I would really like your opinion. Thanks for your time here and look forward to your response and video. Peace.

SRF is interesting and I've used it on some Timetrials just to remain 'competitive'. I must admit I haven't really played GT in awhile before this started for the pure reason GT Academy takes alot out of you and social life and just generally really so after that and then the WRS qualifier I took a break, which has sort of helped me a little bit as I've not been drawn into the SRF issue.

The thing with SRF is that it forces you to be very, very aggressive on braking, turn in and accelerating and essentially promotes a very aggressive and slightly 'arcadey' way of playing so if you do tons of Time trials with it like yourself Mitch you'll get into the habit of being to aggressive from the get go as that's what you are used to! I just think it will be more of an adjustment issue of bringing the aggression back a little and allowing momentum and smoother inputs to return to your driving, but it will have had an effect as you start any time trial, likewise after this if you returned to seasonals you'll have the same issue of trying to get aggressive again!

This specific combo of the leaf at Brands requires no aggression at all and will have thrown yourself and others off completely if I'm honest! Once adjusted you'll be doing great again 👍

Lets just hope that SRF gets removed in GT7!

Alright, thanks Tidg for your knowledge on this matter, much appreciated. 👍 And no, not trying to pull you into the great SRF debate  and hopefully I didn't spark up yet another SRF hate rampage :scared:, lord knows we have enough of those threads already. I was just looking to see if what I was thinking was correct or not and you more than answered my question. 👍 Always great to get tips/advice/knowledge from you and the other well experienced/knowledgeable drivers. Appreciate your response mate....stay fast.

Was able to knock off almost two tenths with another hour put in today. I'm good for 95th with a 1:03.325. Ran tons of .3s-.5s as well. My fastest lap had a horrible first sector too so I was surprised I was able to save the lap.

Thanx nebneb would have been faster but lost and gained time in different spots. You have great time there too mate 👍
Cheers mate  I just can't seem to go any faster.:banghead: I can see you lost a little time coming out of the last corner onto the straight fix that up & you should gain even more time. Go the Aussies :gtpflag:

One of my local friends times is giving me headaches ahead of him before Graham Hill mustache I'm loosing about 0.4 there! now with 1'03"8xx .

Glad to see you running some laps. :)

Got down to 1:03.672 tonight. Chipping away a couple tenths every day so far, actually really liking this TT. First one I've hit hard with the wheel too.

Time will hopefully keep falling. Managed to find at least .150 in the last sector alone vs. this lap
