Alright, thanks Tidg for your knowledge on this matter, much appreciated. 👍 And no, not trying to pull you into the great SRF debate  and hopefully I didn't spark up yet another SRF hate rampage :scared:, lord knows we have enough of those threads already. I was just looking to see if what I was thinking was correct or not and you more than answered my question. 👍 Always great to get tips/advice/knowledge from you and the other well experienced/knowledgeable drivers. Appreciate your response mate....stay fast.

No problem, don't worry I wouldn't get drawn into the debate :)! It's nice that GT Academy doesn't recognize it so we can have good competitive leaderboards with good technique (Most of the time). But ye give me a shout if you have any more questions, always happy to help :)!

Did a few laps today, managed to get down to a 1:03.392. The lap was the only time I haven't nailed Graham Hill bend in ages (too slidey) and about the only lap I've ever managed to nail Clearways (such a frustrating corner!)

It's pretty useful to have @Tidgney's line to chase when I'm trying to set good lap :D

Managed to squeeze a few hundredths off my time to get up to 94th, 17th in UK. Still barely short of a 1:03.2xx though.

It looks like the UK is seriously competitive at the moment; 28 of us are currently in the top 250, 18 are in the top 100. :)

Put in another hour today and managed to improve my time a bit.

1:03.322 shottah072 GTHQ_shottah072

Im losing almost 3 tenths in the first sector thoug.

In case anyone was wondering, as of this morning around 7:30 am ET, there were a total of 95577 register PSN entries for Round 1. My 11 year old took a lap about as slow as he could to see if he could get last. He failed, as someone else must have had the same idea and had a time in the 3:30 range.

I dreamt of this lap last night, how I slingshotted to pass all the ghost buddies on the final long Clark Curve bend leading to a 0m:59s:999 win. Is it possible?

I have to recreate the driving line from a momentum created prior the clearways chicane (induce extra chicane exiting Stirlings Bend!)

or will I just plow through the cones to get disqualified? stay tuned!

Finally broke into the 1:03´s :)
My new time is:

1:03.984 Tintorera Tintorera

It´s just a matter of hours before the top guys will break into the 1:02`s I predict:)

My system isn't on-line so that's not possible, my fastest lap is 1.03.939 but I'm struggling to find improvements so I need the number 1 ghost lap. Somebody please upload it.
Is it possible to enter into the GT Academy TT while being offline?

After having an hour monday night and 30 mins last night i was on a 1.04.149. I was running at about 10pm both times so couldnt concentrate properly being tired. Tried an earlier approach today and in a 20 min session landed a 1.03.7xx for 1669 in the world down from 6000 something! A lot happier now its clicking! More to come!

Sorry @Twissy :D! Had a good hour on it tonight, slightly tired from work but I was absolutely nailing druids completely :D! Got a nice .702 sector 1 on 1 lap, although messed up last corner as per haha! I do like this time trail and a 1:02.9 I can do as I suppose can most in the top 10! Graham hill bends killing me a little at the moment so something I need to work on! Top 10 again though which is nice :)!

I've finally managed to break the 1:03.300 barrier with a 1:03.296; good for 91st, 17th in UK.

However, my delight has been overshadowed with thoughts of what could have been... I started a lap, first sector was dreadful, nearly 0.25 off the 1:03.296 I set earlier. I pressed on anyway, and proceeded to run the T2 and T3 of my life, crossing the line less than a tenth (!) behind my ghost. (Edit: turns out that I was just as fast in T2+T3 as the current #1 lap.)

By messing up the first sector, I missed out on a potential 1:03.150 or so. :ouch:

^you are not alone. I was .200 behind tidgneys ghost up until the final corner. :/

Gotta keep pushing for a 1.03.3xx!

I'm sitting at 1:05:051 but I know I can do better. Electric cars are tough, I listen to the engine in corners more than watching speed/rpms. Watching the top replay helped big time. Especially on that first corner.

Don't stress peeps!!

Shaving thousandths off your times is fruitless until the final segment of the Nissan/PD false advertisement.............and then 99.999% of you all will fail.....................Ho Ho Ho

But we've gotta be thankful for the new content............Thanks PD.....
