Put me just outside the top 2000, probably further down now. Bit sloppy, can definetly go faster. Im losing about half a second in the last sector, mostly at the chicane. Top of my friends list by half a second so im pretty pleased with that.

EDIT 1:36.547. Still sloppy. Still losing time at the chicane.

Wow at those .4xxs and I think it's the first time I've really seen Ti-tech improve on a lap and not go top! Certainly an epicly high standard in this years GT Academy! Well played Immortal and StigGT
To be fair though, Ti-tech85 is still driving without ABS. It is good to see GT Academy standard is high still, good to see more new names up there on the leaderboard too.

New personal best 1:34:811
currently UK #1 :D
Awesome time, keep it up 👍. Are you still using DS2? Quite close battle there to be fastest player using analogue stick, hopefully on final time trial you will come out on top and also this one.

Thanks mate! i got a new DS3 now and it feels so much better after breaking it in a bit. Stick isn't as loose as my old one and the X button is more responsive.
And yeah, good little battle going between me and Adam :) It'll be difficult to pip him that's for sure.

Good to see everyone! here I haven't been active since last Academy,

I've got at least another 2 tenths in my sloppy lap, just having issue's rotating the car in the essess and hairpin.

Gaaaaaah! Turned my fastest ever of a 35.686 but invalidated due to the prior lap. 🤬

And just curious, people scared to answer the FFB question?

I have a G27, my ffb is the default setting, whatever that is.

Naw, the one in the game. 0-10 and it's under the steering wheel options menu. I don't remember what the game sets as "stock" and I have always run on 10. Switched to 8 and notice a difference but curious what peoples are set at as it seems to be "easier" to correct a mistake or make a save with a lower setting. I seem to be faster after lowering it two clicks but it's definitely not as informative.

My wheel settings are in most of the GT Academy videos I've posted! Managed to improve tonight to a 1:34.745 with an absolutely horrible sector 1 and pretty rubbish hairpin! I must admit I wasn't expecting .7xxs until tomorrow still being drained from the working week so was a nice thing to get this evening! With the lap though because of the horrible sector 1 my guide which is coming out tomorrow is going to use 2 different laps to help the explanation a little easier! Also has a wheel cam! Audios recording with the camera I setup for the wheel so you can actually hear me commentate on the lap as I do it lol... It was also my last lap of the night which was nice (Video proof of me saying that to haha!) So ye the lap will get uploaded tomorrow morning followed by the guide!

Definitely can see further time gains! Especially with sector 1, I've been nearly 2 tenths faster there so if I hit a .5 I'll be happy until the next round!

Keep pushing you gotta go way faster then that :P I think I rember
You from racer x in San Diego ?

Nice time I had a few 34s slip away should be there soon:P
You going to compete this year?

Thanks bud, you as well. Nope, I won't be participating in GTA, if I do qualify that is. Just enjoying the competition with top drivers this event attracts. Are you going to give it another go this year?

Curious question - what force feedback level are you fast guys running with?
I like to run it at the lowest setting to keep it from interfering with what I'm trying to do with the wheel. I actually even have my G27 slightly modified with some resistors to allow me to reduce it a bit more. With that said, the FF gives me crucial feedback and I'd be much slower with it off completely.

I see a 35.7, but that is the limit for me on DS3, using Directional buttons to steer, X to throttle ,square for braking, L2/R2 for gears.

About the top drivers using handbrake: That is perfectly realistic in a stock car with that type of tires, and it's not like pulling it all the way, just a few taps, think about it as a brake balance. I only use it at turn 3, doesn't make me faster, just makes me happier, i don't have a nice relationship with understeer.

For the guys struggling with that combo: Don't be afraid of oversteer, use it in your favor to rotate the car, and don't panic when it starts, the basic mistake is lifting the throttle or try to over correct it. Just be gentle and go with the flow.

I am glad that GT Academy is on Comfort tires, they give you the most realistic and best feel of driving in the game. If you guys want to practice, buy a F40 change the oil put CS on it, and go have some fun with no pressure.
