The weird thing is we don't even have anyone in the top 20.
I'll be back on it on Tuesday evening probably! :)

Spill t

Spill the beans about that chicane? I tried tidgneys tips but I was slower :-(.
Make sure you don't go too fast on the way into the chicane. Stay in 3rd, get as close to the cones as you can, use all the track width on the exit. If you do that you should be reasonable. 👍

1:34.758 and you have a lot of time left? Must be nice

Anyone have any tips for turn 8? ( The hairpin )

Haha yeah sorry. I've been down 2 tenths to the end of the first sector to be up a tenth going into the chicane to only stuff it up a few times.

As for the hairpin, i've tried late apexes with early power, and driving straight at the apex. I'm finding if you brake at the 100m board, and trail brake all the way to the apex, it's more consistent than taking a wide approach.

I'm with @Doodle, i think it will be a 34.2 or 3 that takes it. Will be a 1/1000 shot, but it's possible.

Was even with Immortal entering the chicane. I hit the entry perfectly, and was about to have a great exit when I hit a damn cone.

Edit: 1:34.723 Doodle TC-doodlemonoply

Lost half a tenth in the last turn. :dunce:

So I did improve in the end, bandit & tidgney, but I still lost two tenths on that chicane although I done It the best I've done it yet. I reverted to my own line which Is making the turn as straight as possible but maintained a bit more speed by just balancing the throttle all the way through.

It was a near on perfect lap all the way, I was bang on immortals ghost right up to the chicane. So I'm gonna settle with a 34.974 for 5th in UK, I'm losing patience now lol.

soooo I have just wasted 3 hours trying to improve my time from the other night... 1:35.429 and nothing... fkn waste of time... seriously frustrating.... I am loosing too much time in the first and third sector... :\

I have watched all top ten reply's and I still can't take anything from them.. I do the same thing, its just too slow...

The hairpin is really interesting to be honest and it's like clearways on the last round in that there's tons of ways to do it, you really just have to find your own line and way of doing it. I'm still playing with lines every lap, the quickest I've done it was quite a tight line but consistency wise a wider line is better for me! Play around with the hairpin and find something you like, can do, and be consistent with! But my brake marker is 85m-90m!

I'll have a proper go at this at weekend when I've not had a long day at work to really push myself, another hour tonight will do :)! But the times being put in by alot of people are really top quality so well played all 👍

Only done my session on the first day so far due to work, but wow I'm not feeling anywhere near as confident about qualifying as I was before this started! Probably won't give this one a go until the weekend now, hopefully I can get close to a 1'34!

Nah a 1:35.429... Thing is its not good enough to be top 14 in AUS... which is where i want to be... I think round one i was 16th.. but i wanted to better this combo... Most of the time i am just loosing too much time in the first sector... i don't know how... but i gain alittle in the hairpin.. I really much play around with all different lines aswell every lap... I know i have at least another 2 tenths in me, but i am just finding it so difficult to find a fast consistency to bang in a awesome lap time... My average lap times seem to be around 1:34.7XX but its sooo frustrating when you see you are over a second off the pace.... :S

Sorry, I misread it as 34 there. :P

I don't know about now, but when I set my time, compared to Dan Holland in the hairpin, I was gaining 1-2 tenths on him every time.

So finally after a few hours done a 1:35.255... Annoying thing is I know there is another 2 tenths in it..... arrrrghhhh!
