Good point that for Arsenal all things considered, with Alexis and Ozil back time to go on a run, must win against Chelsea.

Arsenal only made 2 subs, probably because none of the players put enough effort in to become tired. I expected a draw but not 0-0.

Swansea to appoint Italian Francesco Guidolin as head coach to work alongside Alan Curtis, he has never managed in the PL before but is a big name in Italy after leading Udinese to the Champions League places two season in a row a few years ago, a bit confused as to who will be in charge exactly but if it helps us in the relegation fight then I have no qualms....

Triggers keep being pulled.

18th January - Mark Robins (Scunthorpe United, sacked) League One

Sackings: 34
Resignations: 4
Expirations: 2
Approaches: 3

Total: 43

During the game Ado Den Haag - Ajax yesterday there were jungle sounds every time a black player of Ajax was on the ball. Welcome to 1950.

The referee did nothing. He should be banned together with those making the sounds. Thankfully the cameras were pointed directly at the part of the stadium with the retards.

Absolutely unbelievable that this still happens.

Wha..? That's despicable. I thought the Dutch league was light years ahead of the Russian, Spanish and Italian leagues in that regard. Unacceptable indeed.

And it's not as if there are no black players at Ado.

Game should have been cancelled, 3 points for Ajax, and at least a game with empty stands.

So, Rodgers, Sherwood, Sontaran Strax...?

Yeah Swansea!!! Massive three points and out of the drop zone! :D:D:D

New boss Guidolin was in the stands after being appointed earlier, only way is up now and we need to kick on...

44.

United have failed in trying to take the head of youth team development at Tottenham, John McDermott. I love this news so much.

TL;DR: Spurs academy has a future, United's doesn't.

I wasn't wrong back in June, was I? This graph from the Beeb is also rather worrying.

45 if you put in John Sheridan's move to Oldham, which had been officially confirmed last week but escaped my attention.

13th January - John Sheridan (Newport County, moves to Oldham Athletic) League Two
18th January - Ian Hendon (Leyton Orient, sacked) League Two

Sackings: 35
Resignations: 4
Expirations: 2
Approaches: 4

Total: 45

It's also worth noting that of the 45 departures so far, 10 were managers appointed this season:

Dijkhuizen
Butcher
Rösler
Humes
Saunders
Ling
Moniz
Dunn
Sheridan
Hendon

And an additional 5 were only appointed midway through last season:

Clark
Robertson
Kelly
Advocaat
Sherwood
Luzon
Wilcox
Ramsey
Symons

15 still-new managers, managers with no time to put their own ethos into a club, already gone. How can you instill a new era or a new formula in such a short space of time? It's instant results or nothing these days.

The problem is that there is so much money involved now, bad results and relegation lead to massive losses. So bad results means that you need a Pulis type manager to keep you up or you're walking.

This weekends games.

Saturday
Crystal Palace v Tottenham
Leicester v Stoke
Man United v Southampton
Norwich v Liverpool (12.45 BT)
Sunderland v Bournemouth
Watford v Newcastle
West Brom v Aston Villa
West Ham v Man City (5.30 Sky)

Sunday

Arsenal v Chelsea (4pm Sky)
Everton v Swansea (1.30 Sky)

Same big games there, not just Arsenal v Chelsea but Sunderland v Bournemouth and West Brom v Villa are both big games at the bottom, Leicester v Stoke and Palace v Spurs look pretty good and City have a tricky game away to West Ham.

Ashley Young is out for around two months because he is having surgery on his groin that he injured in the Liverpool game, this really is bad news for United as it means that we are even more short at the back, LVG said they are looking for defenders in this window but he said its not easy buying anyone as most of their targets are unavailable

Swansea reportedly in talks to signs ex-players Scott Sinclair and Joe Allen....

No-one has posted on the very weekend where there was the game of the season and possibly the goal of the season?!?!

Norwich 4-5 Liverpool, incredible and unbelievable...
Dele Alli's goal v Palace, pure filth!
United 0-1 Southampton, not even surprised anymore! :indiff::indiff::indiff:

Everton 1-2 Swansea at half time (:D:D:D), Arsenal v Chelsea on later....

That was a fantastic goal, you must be happy with Wednesday right now, looking good and in the play-off places 👍

Nah, Wednesday fans are never happy. Disaster is always round the corner...

... still, 6 more points and we're safe.

Yeah Swansea!!!

Massive win, helped by Everton's shocking defending, 2 wins in a row, up to 15th, 4 points clear!

Haha Arsenal.
We're one step closer to sealing the top four deal :D COYS
Man Utd losing rounds off a great weekend of PL football for me.

Mertesacker red was a red card, a bit unlucky for Arsenal, great weekend for Leicester!

Is goal of the season a biased award or something?

I can't vote or else I'd be a hypocrite.

Hmm. Screw your British leagues. Here it is again.

That is pretty awesome. I think Martin Hansen was a former Liverpool youth keeper.

No, goal of the space-time continuum is Chris Brass' own goal for Bury vs Doncaster. You know the one. If you don't, I implore you to watch it.

Found it. I was on my phone last night.

He broke his nose doing it.
