This was after Wilf McGuinness was sacked in December 1970. You'd hardly see this these days for a professional team.

No, there are so many vacancies coming up that the FA would just contract Adecco to fill the temporary positions from a pool of solicited CVs.

This is probably my favourite goal of all time.

Edit: on the Townsend front, the best thing he's ever done is have a girlfriend who thinks football manager is real.

I must have watched thay clip at least 250 times, and it still gives me goosebumps.

Does anyone have any stats as to the average number of shots on target, compared to the number of goals scored? (In the EPL)

This has average shots per game and average shots on target per game for the seasons 1999/00 - 2014/15. I'm sure finding the total goals wouldn't be a bigger stretch.

Why do you ask?

I created one for Wednesday last year. Which isn't quite what you want and was based on the fact that our strikers couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo last year...

These are mine.

For me, the best Argentinian player I've ever seen is Antonio Mohamed.

Long Live The King :D

Also, I just learned that Chelsea sold Ramires to some Chinese team and they got Pato on loan.

The 🤬 !!!

Adding to the conversation about Andros Townsend, I think he is a good player but 12 million is too much for him, like 12 million is too much for Shelvey, but then again they are both English so should we be surprised?!..

Also there is a lot of talk about Van Gaal since the weekend (yet again!) and I think its going little too far and we need to concentrate on matters on the pitch, starting with Derby in the cup on Friday night.

Shelvey I would say is worth the money. He is still a young player with bags of potential.

Least the transfer window is more exciting in the Chinese league than the PL with the likes of Gervinho, Guarin and Ramires.

What made you come around? I have seen you call for his head several times this season already.

Van Gaal needs to stay and grind Man U into the dirt. He's doing a pretty good job of it at the moment.

Last year clubs spent just over £130 million in the January window and they have spent over £91 million so far with five days to go, deadline day is the 1st of February at 11pm.

I think he should've gone when we got knocked out of the CL, but I don't think Ed had the balls to do it, I think it might be to late to make a change now although it could be beneficial, he said after the game at the weekend that he couldn't give what the fans are demanding and he looks defeated.

It will be a long time until United are 'into the dirt'......a long time!.

What stupid is that Brendan Rogers has reportedly turned the United job down?!

Number One, there is no way we would or should want him!

Number Two, why are managers declaring their interest in a job which isn't vacant?, has that happened before?!

Not my pictures, but you get the idea.

You'll know yourself that in FM, the opposition always require fewer shots to score, and I was going to compare the stats of a whole season to see the difference between the player and the AI, and real life.

I have a similar frustration in that every opposition attack leads to a goal whereas my team don't do anything for the whole game.

Ever since the latest patch for the main game, it's been an absurd game bug. FM16 is broken.

Man City 1-1 Everton in their League Cup semi second leg so far, 60 mins in, Everton lead 2-3 on Agg, Barkley and Fernando the scorers, City have hit the post twice.

Neymar has been summoned by a Brazilian court to cough up some missing payments on his taxes from 2007&8.

A hefty €100000,- , which means a whole day, and another 8 hours doing very little have all been for nothing.

Man City 3-1 Everton full time, Man City win 4-3 on aggregate, they turned it right round in the last twenty minutes with goals from De Bruyne and Aguero, its Liverpool v Man City in the Capital One Cup Final.

Every time someone mentions Bergkamp's goal in the pl against Newcastle I go full Crocodile Dundee "That's not a goal, this is a goal" :D
