Apparently Lavezzi was sold for 20 odd million pounds despite being out of contract in the summer.

In that case I hope a Chinese club buys Fazio in the summer.

20? I read it was "just" 7 million.

Another player who has been linked with a move to China is Lord Nicklas of Bendtner.

I'm seeing a lot of opinion sites say 20 million, but looking at all the reports on it, I'd say they're actually mixing up the transfer fee and the total wages, you're probably closer to the actual fee than I was.

Gossip:

Manchester United are considering selling striker and captain Wayne Rooney in the summer after receiving a bid for the 30-year-old from a Chinese Super League club. Rooney could earn £500,000 a week as part of the deal. (Manchester Evening News)

Manchester City will make a £39m bid for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka, 23, as they start to mould their squad to new boss Pep Guardiola's requirements. (Bild)

United could use playmaker Juan Mata, 27, as part of a £60m deal for Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann. (Sun)

Swansea hope to sign Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah, 25, from French club Evian on a free transfer. (Sun)

Missed this earlier, but Bristol Rovers have been bought by a Jordanian family and are now super rich.

Random.

Bolton have been bought by a consortium for around £7.5 million, the consortium is headed by former Bolton striker Dean Holdsworth who could become chairman of the club.

Adam Johnson has been giving evidence at his trail, he apologised to his girlfriend, his family, friends but not to the girl (I don't think) he admits flirting with her and admits what did was wrong, he also said he checked 'age of consent' on his mobile after a discussion about it in the dressing room.

Aston Villa lost to their U-21 team, 3-0 on Friday.

While Gary Neville has won his third consecutive game and could turn it into a fourth on Thursday.

That is random. We all know what happened to Notts County. There's a fair few non-league teams who have been bought by foreign consortia with the promise of riches only to fall flat on their arse. It's easier to buy a 'sleeping giant' for these sorts of people to get a quicker return on their investment.

I wouldn't read anything into it yet but it's definitely keeping an eye on them during the next transfer window.
The swines.

He is going to earn 15 million euros each year, maybe that's why the confussion emerged.

Some Chinese consortium bought ADO Den Haag last year with the promise of massive fund injections.
All they got what some Chinese nobody who wanted to be a assistant manager. He was, for 3 months or so.

Now ADO needs privateers to cough up the dough to pay the salaries.

West Ham 1-0 Sunderland, Leicester 1-0 Norwich, Watford 0-0 Bournemouth, Stoke 2-1 Villa, Southampton 1-2 Chelsea.

Not a lot to pick from there, Leicester now 5 points clear at the top and 10 points clear of City in fourth, Chelsea scraped a 2-1 win after being 1-0 down for much of match, they are now up to 11th.

Spurs smashed through another bus today, and United did us a favour, bigger games in the next week though.

What a week Marcus Rashford is having! He's got that strikers sixth sense about him and always seems to be in the right positions at the right times.

Rashford better cancel his summer holiday because he's off to the Euros if he keeps this up.

Anyone remember when Adnan Januzaj did the same thing and was Manchester United and England's next sure thing?

I never bought into the Januzaj hype. Although it is fun to tease my United friends who were turbo stroking over Januzaj 18 months ago and are now calling him every curse under the sun.

Disappointed that Spurs broke through over Swansea but delighted to see Arsenal bottle it again. Forza Ranieri.

Rashford said after the game that he couldn't celebrate as he has a Chemistry exam today, he is still in college!

Timothy Fosu-Mensah and James Weir became the 13th and 14th players to make their Man United debuts this season and Weir is the 31st player to be used by Van Gaal this season in all comps, Fosu-Mensah was good when he came on.

No idea what happened to Arsenal yesterday, the three points was on a plate for them when United put that team out and they should've won comfortably really, but they didn't really turn up...

Rashford has been on the books at Man Utd since 2005... which considering he is 18 is quite remarkable.

Leicester have gone 1-0 behind to West Brom, I think it's safe to say that someone in their team is going to nip into the Baggies' bus, find the key and chuck it down a drain...

Edit: Leicester 2-1 at the break, that's another test passed.
