From what I remember, the Greater Manchester Council owns the ground and increased the rent by a large, large margin a few years ago in exchange for giving City naming rights, hence it now being the Etihad and not Eastlands or City of Manchester.

Unsure on the maintanence figures though.

Any Rangers fans on here? Old firm game today was excellent, would recommend highlights to neutrals. Barrie McKay scored a ripper to make it 2-1. Game finished 2-2 and Rangers won 5-4 on pens.

Excellent? Both teams were playing on a level par to the Blue Square Premier. Probably the worst game of football I've seen Celtic play this season, surprised it took Rangers so long to win it. Well, not really but still; Poor level of play in general.
