Did Jack Rodwell just get Sunderland relegated with that miss?

I just checked my crystal ball and it said yes.

Edit. Yup again.

Give that man a statue, name the stadium after him and every child born until the new season starts should be named Vardy.

Vardy scores another, but it might have made the last 10 minutes rather different. Sunderland v Norwich next for them, Sunderland need to win that.

Spurs v United is rather big now.

Spurs-United game is delayed until half four as the United tram bus was stuck in traffic, they have arrived now but it took them over two hours to do eight miles....

If Spurs lose then Leicester can win the league in two weeks!

Dotmund draw with Schalke 2-2.

Chase for the title is slowly slipping away for Dortmund and a European spot for Schalke looks edgy.

Leverkusen play Koln now.

Leverkusen lead 2-0. Good goals by Chicharito and Brandt.

A win for Bayer would extend the gap for securing the last UCL spot.

3-0 full time, what a shambles, first half was good enough but we just imploded in the second.

🤬🤬🤬!!!

Leverkusen win 2-0.

Unbelievable saves made by Leno. And 2 sending offs towards the last minute of the game.

Puts them in 4th.

Downfall started with Martial miss. Fosu-Mensah then got injured and in the end got substituted for Darmian. I jokingly said to my brother then that we would do well to lose by less than 4 goals and then implosion started, 1,2,3 in short space of time. I guess I will be more careful in what I say next time.

That's the type of thing I say every year before Arsenal play Chelsea, Barcelona or Bayern.

Spurs really dodged a bullet when LVG chose United over us.

Still though... Rodwell....

It's not just Van Gaal. There are quite a few injuries, and those who can play, play like a bunch of turds in a sewerpipe.

Van Gaal managed to play the entire front 4 out of position. Spurs weren't even that good today, it's just Darmian came on and had a shocker, there's no way United should be losing that 3-0.

He also went full Facebook comment section in the interview by saying United are a bigger club.

Apparently, when he took over in 2014, United were the bigger challenge, with their unlimited bankroll and ability to sign world class players. And he really has made it look challenging, as he sits 15 points behind a Tottenham side that has ran at a profit, killed the toxic atmosphere at the club by weeding out experienced players who didn't want to work hard, reduced the average age to the youngest in the league, and funded the new stadium.

But I'm sure they'll get a win from some other faltering club that he can use to keep his un-justified ego and the fans can keep referring to him as a 'winner'.

There really is no excuse anymore. You put any other "World Class" manager who's been in control of teams such as Munich and Barcelona in charge of Man Utd and give them virtually unlimited money and they'd at least be in the title race, probably still in UCL and most likely have at least won something by now.

Ideally I'd have given him a 5 year contract and told him to buy young players and rebuild from the bottom up but he's only interested in 3 years so there is no time for that.

Why do you want him to buy young players rather than experience players? No instant results and you are running a risk with potential also clubs are likely to charge big money or the player contract may already have a large buy out clause as young players who break through to the first team are now big assets to clubs.

LVG has already got the players but completely the wrong tactics. Constantly changing the formation and making players play out of their natural position.

Wrexham all but out of the Conference play-off race.
TNS won the Welsh League over the weekend.

:grumpy:

In all fairness against Spurs we had a 36 million pound STRIKER on the pitch who he played on the wing whilst we had a WINGER playing up front. Maybe he's just lost his marbles.

Rooney played an hour for the U21's against Middlesbrough tonight and Phil Jones played the whole game in a 1-0 win.

I want to go on a rant about that shambles yesterday but what I want to say has already been said here today, I'm still baffled as to why he didn't play Martial up front instead of Young, we fell apart once Fosu-Mensah went off (how good was he?!) and the fact that LVG said something like its no shame losing to Tottenham because they are a big team is embarrassing, I mean what sort of attitude is that?!?!!

West Ham in the cup tomorrow night, wont be easy as its the last cup tie at Upton Park and they will be up for it....

I wonder when ticket touting started. I wonder what the situation was like back in the day

When standing was allowed I'm guessing there was no such thing since there wasn't exactly a limit on how many people were allowed in. Other people here will no doubt know more than me about it.

Player of the year and young player of the year final 6's are in.

I fancy Dele and Mahrez(or maybe Payet)

Whoopsie doopsie. With very few games left a change of manager is unlikely to do anything but Leyton Orient have pulled the trigger on Kevin Nolan after just three months. They, the club's Italian owners, want to bring in a raft of Italian backroom staff to bring about fortune.

We'll see how well that goes given there have already been 7 managers in 2 years at Brisbane Road.

12th April - Kevin Nolan (Leyton Orient, sacked) League Two

Sackings: 46
Resignations: 4
Expirations: 2
Approaches: 5

Total: 57
